I bamboozled the Sanctum Knights by locking them in the basment

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 09:36 AM PDT

In Shulva on NG+, was right about to get to the first bonfire in the pyramid, didn't feel like dealing with the Sanctum Knights by finding their bodies, so I lured them up the stairs and dropped into the room with the bugs(I had already cleared them out). Turns out they can't climb the ladder so they just randomly slash around in there, so I went and hit the switch and grabbed the bonfire in peace.

    They got PUNK'D

    Someone explain the Int caps

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 12:37 PM PDT

Mainly a sorcery build, dabbling in Hex's. But what's the highest Intelligence before it starts getting like nerfed? (Corrected previous post)

    The quest is now over.

I started this game back in 2018. And uninstalled it twice because of some annoyingly frustrating parts. But it's finally done.

Can I get back into the room after the Flexile Sentry boss?

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 07:06 AM PDT

I just got to that table that activated a cutscene, but I know that there is a chest there that I did not get.

Can I get back to that room?

    Fume Knight Triumph

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 12:33 PM PDT

I was having the hardest time beating Fume Knight. I looked up God knows how many threads trying to see how everyone else beat him. I kept reading the typical "just do this" or "its not that hard." All I could think were either these people are lying or I absolutely suck. I couldn't accept the fact that I'm garbage so I started looking into my build.

My focus was on dexterity which isn't the highest damage output, but should favor quickness. I got so desperate I used one of my souls vessels to do a Str build so I could get the highest damage output. All the while doing this, I was making sure my load stayed under 70%. Nope. Wiped the floor with my ass... again. Back to the drawing board.

I looked up a video to get a visual. I'm usually pretty aggressive in my approach to bosses (thank you bloodeborne), and thought maybe I was doing this particular boss all wrong. Sure enough, dude in the video was doing exactly what everyone in the threads were saying. Dodge into his sweeping flame attack. I was only every successful at this maybe twice of the dozen or so times it killed me. Then the light bulb went off.

I looked up the load percentages effect on movement. I did know they changed some things from the previous entry, and when looking up the information prior, I found 70% to be the recommendation with warnings against diminishing returns below that. So rather than go with General opinion, I check what the actual tiered values are. I then found out that 30% offered the most maneuverability. Though the thought of taking off all my armor before this truck hitting bastard scared the rat's piss outta me, I was more desparate than I was afraid.

It should also be noted that I rearranged my stats again to favor a dex int build for magic weapons coating as well as just useful spells in general. I then went back into there near butt-ass naked to fight this monster of a man. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! There was a noticeable decrease in difficulty dodging his attacks. The only times I would get hit was from getting greedy/wreckless. I popped my last human effigy and went at it at it for the last time. As everyone said, dodging into his flame sweep was the bread and butter!

So in conclusion, if you're stuck on this guy and aren't doing a mage build, just get butt-booty-ass naked 😉. If that doesn't work, then increase your vigor or wear some rings. Whatever will get you into 30% load so you can juke his truck ass.

Good Gosh this game is LONG

    Posted: 16 Jul 2021 08:32 PM PDT

I am doing my first playthrough RN It took me 100 hours to get to the 3rd and final DLC of this game, I just beat Ava,He's like sif but he knows magic and kung fu. I wanna finish the Alsanna quest line but now I gotta farm even more with those Loyce Knights Also still got to do Darklurker (rip my melee build I already rage quitted on my first 7 failed attempts) So far The DLC bosses are actually pretty good IMO, aside from The path to get to Blue Smelter, the boss was good but the route was cancer.

    Greatshields

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 05:39 AM PDT

I'm a bit bothered that some of the greatshields look so terrible. It's like the handle where your character holds is too high on the shield. This makes the lower half of the shield look like it's in the ground. Particularly the mastodon and dragonrider greatshields.

Am I the only one this bothers?
