| A crazy but sad theory i had of New Londo Ruins and Crestfallen Warrior back in the day Posted: 17 Jan 2021 04:31 AM PST Back when i was playing Dark souls for the first time i had a crazy but sad theory that New Londo Ruins was the ''Anor Londo'' for the Crestfallen Warrior in his biggest moment of despair, i always imagined that he wanted to reach Anor Londo, the city of Gods, but he wasn't able to even go to Sen's Funhouse for not being strong enough, that's why he gave up on trying and tried to find desperately something that fills his desire of going there, he discovered the ruins he'd later call ''New Londo'' lying to himself he had already archieved his goal to visit Anor Londo, also here are a few interesting facts about these 2 locations:
Also, the saddest part of this theory, i always believed that when he becomes hollow in New Londo, it was because he wanted to visit that ''place'' he always wanted to reach for one last time, even if he was just lying to himself before going hollow :( that's why we found him there. | Just beat the game for the first time! Posted: 17 Jan 2021 07:42 PM PST I've been wanting to grab dark souls forever and I finally decided to get the switch port and play it to see how difficult it was. Spoiler alert, it was hard. It took me like two weeks two beat but honestly it's more like... A week to get past undead burg and get used to combat and pick a build and then another week spent exploring everything else. When I reached the skill level where I could beat some bosses I felt so happy. Taking down Artorias on my third try by sheer luck of the game deciding that I still won when we both hit eachother at the same time was a good moment. And so was that dumpster fire that was my somehow winning attempt against Kalameet. And the Gwyn fight oh my GODS was that an awesome fight. I'm shit at partying so I had to do it the hard way Anyways, my ending build was a super endurance and Dex build with smoughs armor and Uchigatana so I could dish as much damage as I took. But honestly that build was completely on accident lol Thanks to the sub for giving me tips along the way!! Can't wait for NG+ [link] [comments] |
| I'm Teaching My GF How To Play Dark Souls 1 Posted: 17 Jan 2021 10:18 PM PST So last time I saw my GF, which was back before the big lockdown, I walked her through the Undead Asylum of DS1, I've played DS1 several times already, and thought it'd be awesome if she got into it! She thoroughly enjoyed it, even though she struggled on it, I did my best to walk her through it (Her reaction to the Asylum Demon was priceless) and got through the Asylum after about an hour. | Help with a certain NPC leaving? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 12:53 AM PST Spoilers for pyromancer stuff Didn't know telling laurentius about great chaos fireball would have him leave and go hollow. I looked it up and quelana can appear if someone invades with a +10 pyromancy flame, or if you have one yourself. Mine is only at +5 right now. I already killed quelaag, so I can't summon someone with it. Do I just have to keep trying to get invaded till I get lucky? [link] [comments] |

Both Serpent rings talk about serpents becomming dragons, to be specific:" The serpent is an imperfect dragon and symbol of the Undead. Its habit of devouring preyeven larger than itself has led to an association of gluttony. This gold ring, engraved withthe serpent, boosts its wearer's item discovery, so that more items can be amassed. " While in Dark Souls 3 it says: " A silver ring depicting a snake that could have been, but never was, a dragon. Fallen foes yield more souls. Snakes are known as creatures of great avarice, devouring prey even larger than themselves by swallowing them whole. If one's shackles are cause for discontent, perhaps it is time for some old-fashioned greed. " This could mean that they actually trying to become dragons by continueing what they did before the age of fire. I put around 30-40 hours into it and really really enjoyed it! Just learnt that today is also it's tenth anniversary so it's awesome that I finished it today of all days! Started ng+ and just tanking hits, beat the asylum deamon in 4 swings, Do others use a worse weapon and armour on ng+ to keep in interesting? At least at the beggining Because I wanna platinum but I'm gonna get bored quick if it's this easy. [link] [comments] |

Please help I killed the one egg dude without knowing and then I told the other guy where the flame was and he left and is now hostile to me. I need to get the queen to spawn so I can upgrade my own flame. I don't know how to trade or invade. I'm on Xbox series x. New to this game and it's punishing choices.. I read that my only option now is to trade and return the item to someone once I have her spawn? Or have a phantom with one what ever that means. I just want to upgrade my pyromancer. | Are Bell Gargoyle meant to be that hard? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 02:27 AM PST I've been trying to beat them for the entire past 3 days, died a few times, backed out, explored a bit more, got Claymore from under the bridge dragon, upgraded it to 5+ figured out that I can just go two handed, but I always end up either combo-ed by both gargoyle or get hit even when I dodge I know that I need to focus one and dish out as much damage as I can before the 2nd one lands, 1v1 is easier than 2v1, but the gargoyle either dodges most of my hits or just hits me even though my dodge seems to be properly timed Am I missing something or am I just bad and need to git gud? EDIT: Just realised that instead of dodging I can just block for 1/3rd of the damage, this allowed me to wreck them after two tries [link] [comments] |

| Near end game - What stats should I level up now? Posted: 17 Jan 2021 04:36 PM PST I'm on NG and at around SL70 with 40 str, 40 end, 25 vit and haven't put points into the others. I have the weapon I want (man serpent +15), the armour I want, rings etc... so now when I have a bunch of souls I don't know what to put into. I'm at the Archive so like 3/4 of the game already and was thinking of lv up dex to use some dex weapon but I probably finish the game before I have enough dex, and I don't plan to play NG+ [link] [comments] |
