But I'll admit not everything learned there is really usefull in DS2. Everyone says it has the best PvP so I'd like to experience it to the fullest. Do you have some recommendations for me, some general advices, builds that can work well, weapons, etc? I'll stick mainly to the Arena though I'll probably give a shot to invasions. | Posted: 15 Jan 2021 03:10 PM PST After at least an hour of wandering through blizzards and getting jumped by horny reindeer, i finally approached what looked to be the bosses entrance. The abbess and vengarl and i had enough healing left to get to full health and i knew that with these two by my side, i had a chance at defeating the duo of sabretooths before me.....and then i saw him. Just far enough away from the entrance to wscape notice, but close enough for a cheeky backstab if he was quick, wandered a hulking viking with a sword in one hand and a giant double bladed battle axe.(anyone know what weapon this is? | Posted: 16 Jan 2021 01:05 PM PST Finally beat fume knight for the first time, was expecting him to be the bane of my existence for weeks, but managed to beat him maybe 15th try in a row, he was shamelessly poked into submission after failing with the pancake stick. Definitely a well designed and executed boss, in the end I used the helmet trick and found his 2nd phase easier than the 1st. I found getting through brume tower to be the harder part and literally speedran through from the bonfire before to the one by his arena On to the ivory king now, hopefully it won't take me another 4 years to beat him [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Jan 2021 12:28 PM PST Unless I'm dreaming I'm experiencing some weirdness with regards to the AR on my Dark Fume Sword +5 (and potentially my other right hand weapons). When using the Fume Sword I use the exact same rings Flynns, Dark Clutch, ROB +1 and BKR +1, same shield (Dark Watcher Shield +5) and same staff (Dark Black Witches Staff +10), and same armor set (full ivory king set). Somehow the AR on my Fume Sword has gone from 491 to 478 and I cant explain why. Stats are 40 DEX, 44 INT, and 50 FAITH and haven't changed any time recently as I've been focusing on VIT and Endurance. Am I tripping? Was my AR really 491 before or did something buff me and I didnt notice? Hoping some theory crafting maths wiz can help me. [link] [comments] |

| Well, I did it. I beat DS2, SOTFS. Posted: 16 Jan 2021 01:47 AM PST A few weeks ago, I asked if the game was worth continuing. I was at the Lost Bastille, at the time, and as of now I've just beaten Aldia. Haven't done the DLC yet, but I plan on doing it at some point sooner or later. For the first time in a long time, I actually quit a game for a while. The Shrine of Amana broke me. I didn't feel like suffering through that last part at least twelve times, just so I wouldn't have to put up with the godawful enemies in that area. But tonight, I thought "why not?" So I went from Shrine of Amana to the end of the game. But the real question: was it worth it? So far... I can't say it was. Maybe the game just isn't my cup of tea, but I found a lot of it (especially post drangleic castle) really, really bad. Shrine of Amana was annoying, Undead Crypt was pretty boring and short. Aldia's Keep felt pointless at best, while Dragon Shrine and Aerie were annoying and extremely short respectively. The giant memories were definitely odd. Then the throne of want is the throne of want. I don't know. All I can say is at least I did it. Do I think DS2 is a good game? Not really, I'd call it okay as it's own thing and bad as a dark souls game. I'm yet to play the DLC, so hopefully that ends up being as good as people say it is. I'm not trying to hurt any feelings here or be overly negative, this is just my takeaway from the experience. I farmed it for five hours before reading I need to beef up my stupid item discovery to even have a chance. So I go scrounge the jester's cap, prisoner's tatters, and covetous gold serpent ring. I look like a total horses ass but whatever, I will get it in no time with all this trash on. No. Days go by. Everyone in my house is sick to their ass from hearing the zombie ponies in the Undead Purgatory. But I NEED this staff. I had to have the fuckin thing- never wanted anything more in my life. Eventually I had to take a break. This was getting to be to much so I stop playing till the weekend. First try. I look at that smoking light and think it's probably an amber herb fucking with my heart. No, I finally did it. Dark Souls finally rewarded my efforts. There are two pieces of content people made from back then that I can't seem to find that I'd really like to. The first was a "fashion souls" website where you could select different pieces of gear and it would display it on an image of a character so you could plan out outfits. The other was a youtube video of caestus PvP (I think it was a fist weapon at least) that had the Queens of the Stone Age song "Misfit Love" playing as the music. If anyone has links to either of these it would be awesome and really help me get immersed back in the nostaliga, if you can call it that for a game that's only 6ish years old. [link] [comments] |

It's fire infused and I use ring of blades +1. I was curious if there was any buffs or ways I can increase the damage without needing magic stats. I've been looking around the map and trying to think of ways to get in more damage. The reason I feel like I don't do enough damage is because of the old iron king DLC. I 3 shot most the enemies and they kill me pretty quickly. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
