| Posted: 09 Jan 2021 11:33 AM PST I was just listening to Buckethead's "Witches on the Heath" and realized it was a reference to Macbeth. I've yet to watch/read this tragedy of Shakespeare but apparently there's three witches which somehow lighted a memory in my mind that there's three old firekepeers in the room when you start the game (the room where you customize your character). Not only that but the other, younger girl in the room is called Milibeth which confirmed it for me. Nice reference... even though I've yet to read/watch Macbeth, I still have memorized few passages and watched some scenes. Try watching "Tomorrow" scene by Ian McKellen to see what I'm talking about... I love Dark Souls 2 [link] [comments] |

It's like half the screen. I'm already thinking that this game is huge, but there's THAT much that I haven't seen yet/missed?! Why'd you have to do this to me?! Just don't tell me what I missed! Posted: 09 Jan 2021 03:51 AM PST Hello, I know it's not an uncommon sight seeing cheaters in any DS series -- they're festering cysts which've been plaguing the series forever. But I'm not here to preach the obvious and point out FromSoftware's lack of interest in that regard. But rather I'm looking for an advice, maybe even some of you had this done to their characters too. So basically, I've had an unfortunate run-in at the BoB arena with a cheater, who at the start of the duel have locked my character in place. I couldn't move, neither use black separation crystal nor even exit the game. I was completely locked in-game. So, I did the next rational thing I came up with and just ALT+F4 from the game. What's more worse, it wasn't over yet, when I came back to the game and checked my character; at 1st glance everything was normal but when I loaded the game I instantly got death screen and then the game crashed. Tried to turn it back on and this time my character got boosted from SL 168 way up to 30739. I haven't touched that character since. That's where I'd like to ask the community's advice.
I've put so much effort into this character, it's a shame that I probably going to have to delete it now. Kind regards. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 09 Jan 2021 12:10 PM PST Not the post I was composing in my mind while playing. I had gone down to Black Gulch early to pick up some Chunks and maybe a few Awestones. And RNG decided to spend quite some time trolling me. I was getting plenty of drops but, well: 51 Large Shards, 28 Poison Stones and 18 copies of Dead Again. Anyhow I decided to do a few more quick runs before getting something to eat. 5 runs (so a total of 20 grabbers and 10 cave critters -- when in Champions I don't bother clearing the whole level) and 5 Chunks and 5 Awestones. Can't think of a time when RNG was more generous. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 09 Jan 2021 06:51 AM PST Hello there.I would like some help with choosing a weapon.I am soul level 200 and did a miracle buff build with rob2,flynn's ring and lightning clutch ring.I mostly use Sacred Oath and Sunlight Blade for bosses. I would like suggestions about a small and fast weapon,cause I got bored of the +10 lightning mace I've been using until now.Tried the fth weapons everyone's talking about,and I don't like the defenders gs because it is too heavy and slow,and heide lance is too slow too,so I've been using the mace and heide spear for way too long,and got really bored of the same moveset. Also,if someone can tell me a good light strike damage weapon I can use to abuse the rob+2 and flynn's ring,I would much appreciate it. [link] [comments] |

I recently decided to try CheatEngining a new character into NG+1 to get a feel for how things changed there--I'm never in the mood to go into NG+ with a character I've finished with--and am now thinking about how apparently things continue to change in later NG cycles. I know in, what, NG+2? Or 3? Certain vendors get expanded inventories with covenant items--are there any more actual content changes beyond 2/3/whichever it is? | Raw or dark infuse crypt blacksword for the DLCs? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 06:15 AM PST I'm a hybrid caster/melee with 40 str and 30/30 fth/int. According to a post in this sub, DLC elemental resistances don't apply to elemental damage on melee weapons, does this mean I'll be okay if I go with a dark weapon? I had a really difficult time as a pure caster in the crown of the sunken king (Elana...). So after I finished that DLC, I got the crypt blacksword and it's now +5, wondering what to do before I dive into the next 2 DLCs. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 09 Jan 2021 11:41 AM PST I know for a fact I've been softbanned since around 2016 for being stupid and using cheat engine to modify some things such as the pvp aura and giving myself a couple weapons because I was bored. I've attempted using the support email from a while back I saw on one of the posts here to try and contact bandai about my ban, but it didn't go through with google saying it was just simply denied. If anyone knows how I could go about contacting Bandai Namco about this ban that would be great as I saw a few others mention being able to have their bans lifted after all this time. Thank you.
