| Questions about my current build. Posted: 12 Jan 2021 07:22 AM PST I'm doing a hex run, this being my first. But I also want to incorporate melee into this build. I'm currently using the fire longsword. I haven't upgraded it yet. Should I upgrade my sword for the time being, or hold off until I find something that fits my build better? Gonna grind some covenants and loyce souls as well, and get all boss weapons. Other than that though, which items should I be looking to get on this playthrough (Gold Serpent++ for example)? Is there anything to look forward to, or does the game continue to devolve as far as gameplay and lore? I have to say the farther I made it into this game the less I started to like it. | Posted: 12 Jan 2021 09:16 AM PST I started playing dark souls 2 after every other from soft game and I've super enjoyed it. I don't understand the haters. Anyway, I've been working through the game for an eternity and while I am having fun, I'm starting to get a little bored and a glance at the progression list tells me I'm only about half way through the game. | I need some newbie pointers and basic questions. Posted: 12 Jan 2021 11:10 AM PST I am relatively new to dark souls 2, been playing for a few days now, really enjoying it. I am so far really enjoying the game but what I would like to know is if there is a stronger weapon with the same move set as balder side sword. Right now I am using Foot Soldier Sword, which I love but I have a feeling it's not gonna be a great end game weapon. I like having a fast slash and a powerful lunging stab attack. I had heard Ice Rapier and Blue Flame are both good for mages but it seems I am not far enough to get those yet. Any weapon pointers, or just general mage tips would be really appreciated. But I see very little, these days..." Thats his sencond dialogue, and i stuck here, cannot advance to the part where i get his blessing. How can i fix this? [link] [comments] |

I tried to do the bug where you can climb onto her back so I could poison her with butterfly set, but I had a hard time baiting the tail slam and the one time I did it, she moved out from under me. | Posted: 12 Jan 2021 06:46 AM PST The hitboxes in this game are stupid. I mean sure I know i have to level up my agility to get more iFrames. But I don't get how I for example, can dodge an attack from The Pursuer and lose health when im a good 15 feet away from him. I lose health even if he's not hitting in my direction if I'm slightly too close to him and it pisses me off. This game is not what i remember it to be. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 12 Jan 2021 11:30 AM PST I just finished my third playthrough of the game. I played it after DS1, 3, BB and Sekiro for hundreds of hour each. I must say, DS2 is mediocre. Here is my list of negative: -Unispired art style -Music mostly forgettable -Shitboxes -Lazy level design -Bad bosses - Awkward animation - ADP (Realy a stupid idea.) - Ennemy spam Positives: -Power stance -Overall content -Some musics like Majula's and Aldia's -Lore -Life gems -ng+ (I don't do multiplayer in souls game. I heard it was the best in the serie) Globally , this game is mediocre but I still enjoy playing it. Something I can't understand myself. Is someone in the same case as me... [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 12 Jan 2021 12:00 AM PST Hi guys, I'm about to finish my first run on dark souls remastered as a strength build, and starting to think about a build for my dark souls 2 run. I'd like to make a build based on int with str, but never done that, all my soul like s game I played as strength only character, and I'd like to extend that. My play style is kinda odd I think. I played in remastered with light gear, crest shield and datk knight sword meaning walk light and hit strong. I really like this play style and I really want to combine magic/pyro/faith I to it... The problem is, I'm not sure how to allocate attribute while leveling since I never used magic before. I tried to look for leveling builds but could find anything helpful and idea advice will be appreciated [link] [comments] |
