Reaching the Maximum Level of 713 in the Undead Asylum

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 02:04 PM PST

Hello everyone. I did the math on what it would take to reach the top level of Dark Souls, 713 with a Sorcerer, if you never left the Undead Asylum. The results of which might surprise you. You can check it out with the link below.

Hi I'm new to Dark Souls and started with Remastered. First: F*ck this game. Second: What a great game.

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:02 AM PST

(Spoilers!) I'm currently at the moonlight butterfly, and it is making me its bitch. I've gotten it to 10% health twice now and about chucked my controller at the screen.

I chose a sorcerer and so far I only have soul arrow as a spell, which kinda sucks so I've just been using my Longsword and hollow shield I found.

I love the message and bloodstain systems. There's a giant hydra at the bottom of a basin I found that I have absolutely no idea what to do against, so thats kinda cool too. Gods help me.

I'm slowly learning this game, but God if it isnt unforgiving as hell. I think I've died to the butterfly 30 times or more!

Also I got sick ass elite knight armor. So thats kinda cool!

All tips are welcome if theybare spoiler free! Love this crazy game.

    Sen’s Fortress update

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:33 PM PST

I went from "I can reach the Boulder redirect mechanism" to I smashed two walls with the boulders, found several rings, found Big Hat Logan, and reached what I think is the boss' fog door. I didn't go through because I was out of estus but I also figured out how to use the spiked ledges to drop all the way down to the titanite demon level. I managed to walk all the way back to the bonfire by Andre. I did not find the fortress bonfire yet. I found two chutes you can drop down and I went down the second one. This was a good run and I think I've got a good grasp of the fortress now. I saw a spoiler that at least one of the cages on a chain is supposed to be able to move but wasn't able to figure it out.

    About the Capra Demon

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 11:24 PM PST

Forgive me if this has been said before, however I just have to say this. After playing Dark Souls 1-3, then coming back to 1 to revisit it, I can definitively say this mother fucker is the hardest boss in all of the games. Artorias? Eh. Pontiff? Don't make me laugh. These guys are basic hollows compared to the sheer might and power that this absolute UNIT of a boss exudes. There must be a gimmick I've never heard of/tried because there's no way this guy can be this hard.

Edit: I'm gonna make this man eat shit, literally. https://darksouls.wiki.fextralife.com/Dung+Pie

    How to beat manus

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 07:20 PM PST

Ok so i heard manus was tough but i didn't expect him to be that tough like dude how much health does he have? And he does damage like real damage not like ornstein trying to stab you with a stick, like motherfucker bitch slaps the fuck out of me that i feel the pain from the game in real life. I might be over reacting but that's how i feel. And his fucking boss fight is shit like bruh it's dark as fuck and i already have problems with my eyes so its a lose lose. I'm thinking about summoning but he's gonna be tougher and probably gain a new attack because for some reason some bosses like to do new attacks when you summon, they basically cover your head and fuck the life out of you when you summon. So can y'all give any tips thanks 😊

If it was called "soulsborne games" instead of "souls games" because of Bloodborne, what's it now called after Sekiro?

How bad of an idea would it be to use the black knight greatsword as a sorcerer?

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:18 PM PST

I know the moonlight greatsword is supposed to be for sorcerers, so how bad of an idea could it be?

I finished Dark Souls for the first time

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 06:28 AM PST

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share with you my happiness of finally finishing Dark Souls. I first tried playing it for the first time a few years ago but frustration sent me away form the series but I returned because of a couple of friends on a discord server.

I must say, this game is amazing, now I'm moving on to Dark Souls 2, wish me luck!

    I tried, I swear.

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 08:35 PM PST

Well, I tried. Yes, I really REALLY tried, but I think I´m not good enough for this game. It´s not that I´m not able to enjoy it, I do it very much, but I got to the Four Kings.

No way in hell I can beat this boss fight, there´s no way I can do it.

I don´t know how you all do it.

    I´m just sad.

    Replaying Dark Souls

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 04:59 PM PST

Before i'm able to play Demon Souls and spend a quite a bit of time on that (& Bloodborne) on the Ps5, I wanted to revisit my favorite and truly best game in the souls series. I've always wanted to wait for a big reboot day but those aren't as a thing as they used to be so thriving multiplayer or not.. I will PRAISE THE SUN ~_~/ WOOOHOOO, Hope to see some of you there

It's not letting me attune Lightning Spear and I'm very confused

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 04:54 PM PST

It just keeps saying "no magic to attune". I have my talisman equipped, 4 slots, and 26 Faith. I don't get why it's not letting me.

Knight Artorias makes me want to not finish the DLC

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 12:28 PM PST

My first Dark Souls playthrough, LV 80 Dex build with +15 Halberd 2 handed and I can't get him to 25% health. I roll when he attacks but still take damage sometimes. I've fought him dozens of times which is by far the most out of any of the bosses.

I beat the archives, I beat the demon ruins and I think I'm close to completing the main game, besides the DLC. It's gone from fun challenging(like most of the game) to this-is-so-frustrating-I don't-care-about-progressing-anymore challenging.

I'm going to give it a few tries tomorrow and if I don't beat him I'm just going to finish the main game and watch someone else do the DLC on youtube.

Hi guys, so I've gone back to Undead Burg to try to practice parrying and backstabs. So do y'all have any tips for me? Or anything/anywhere specific to practice? Thanks in advance!

How to fast roll with armor on?

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 11:45 PM PST

I remember hearing you could make a build that would let you fast roll even with armor on. My friend has the FAP ring, and Havel's ring. He's wearing relatively heavy armor(I forgot which exactly but it's not like Havel's armor or something.) and he's still kinda slow rolling. I think his equip load was 30/112 I think?

So why is he still slow rolling if his equip load is so light?

What strategies can I use to reach Max level?

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 11:26 PM PST

I'm a pve only player and I've seen people with lvl713. How did these people reach such a level? I want to do it too. Maybe I should reach ng+7 first? Any soulfarm or leveling up tips would be appreciated.

Sorry for any bad wording, but I’m really lost

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:24 PM PST

Sorry for bad formatting, as I'm on mobile. This is my first play through. I've gone into the game pretty much blind, and was able to ring that first bell (not sure what it's called). I then went to that place with the skeletons (again, not sure what it's called) and continued through that area. I somehow got to Pinwheel, and went to the tomb of the giants. I lit a bonfire there. I looked up a guide because I was stuck and doing very little damage, and found out that I should not be here. I have no idea how to get out, and need help.
