Posted: 21 Nov 2020 02:30 AM PST I'm new, I accidentally found my way into The Catacombs (which was super fucking hard so I restarted the game). I don't understand in what order I'm supposed to play this game, cause I thought this game was linear like Uncharted or God of War, not that I could accidentally fight a fucking John Wick demon which kills me in one punch this early in the game. | Posted: 20 Nov 2020 09:12 PM PST Well, I'm going to start my first souls game journey (DS1 Remastered), and I haven't even started and I'm already confused. I wanted to play this game because I've read Berserk and I am a Zelda fan, so we could say I like the dark fantasy genre, and I really like challenging games so this might be a game I could enjoy. My problem is that I don't know what to do with all the start customization. I don't know if I will be able to change my class as I wish later in the game, or if certain gifts are just terrible. So I need a sort of guide from someone, that could explain me basic stuff like this and how do stats work without spoiling the game. FE: the knight class is good for the start game, but terrible for end game, or if magicians can't use big swords. This type of simplified info would help me a lot. Also, as I've read Berserk, I will probably want to cosplay Guts, so I don't know if I would need a certain class to properly do it. I am about to fight the Black Knight and I have heard about the incredibly good gear I can get from these Black Knights, but I also know that the drop rates are quite bad. I barely know about the mechanics of this game and from what I've seen, people include pyromancies in their str builds and I don't really understand why. | Posted: 20 Nov 2020 06:52 AM PST Like most work days, I woke up at 5. I ate breakfast. Drank coffee. Checked my boring-as-heck email. Time for some DS before work, but I can't play my main (and first) playthrough. My six-year-old daughter is hooked on watching it, and we are exploring everything together for the first time (currently in Duke's). I roll a new cleric. I'm gonna sunbro. I level nothing but faith until I get to the sunlight altar (wow, you can hit 25 with no farming!). Take a knee. Boom, Lightning Spear. Praise that sun. Mace-smash my way through the boar's hollow boys, and I'm looking down on that tusked butthead from the floor above. Time to try out that lightning. I wonder if it'll be about the same as hitting this jerk with Soul Arrow. ZZZZAP! Tuskface is erased from Lordran in ONE. FLIPPIN. SHOT.
