Return to Boletaria to start on October 4th, ending on the 18th! Posted: 15 Sep 2020 10:25 AM PDT Greetings, Chosen Undead! This post is a global heads up to inform you WHEN Return to Boletaria will be officially starting, as well as to inform you of how to participate via connecting to the Private Server, and on what platforms this is available. Before the important information is laid down below, I must say we encourage all players, old and new, to participate - if they can - and enjoy the perfectly functionally running Demon's Souls online mechanics. Any kind of online participation is encouraged, and even if you don't like to invade or cooperate, simply playing the game, writing, rating messages or dying while connected will make an impact towards an alive Boletaria! And yes, this is online! This shouldn't be news by now... but we have been maintaining a Private Server for almost 3 years now, allowing players to connect to them and play the game online. When is it starting? When is it ending?Return to Boletaria will start on the 4th of October, lasting for two weeks until October 18th!
In the past we were overstepped by a second Return to Yharnam (Halloween themed), so this year we are properly coordinating. Thus, if the Bloodborne community wishes so, there's a perfect available space right after Return to Boletaria. For example, from the 19th to the 31st of October! How can I participate? You can participate by connecting to the Demon's Souls Private Server on either PS3 or RPCS3 (PS3 emulation software). Instructions below:

Posted: 15 Sep 2020 02:25 PM PDT To the naked guy with a halberd who helped me take on the gargoyles as I was struggling to get back into the game - thank you! You may have named yourself "Literal Trash" but you got me through that fight along with Solaire. [link] [comments] |
There are so many npc quests in soulsborne games Posted: 15 Sep 2020 08:56 AM PDT Like, i cant imagine how are finding out stuff like "talk to this npc, then go and summon him there, then go help him there". And, sorry for writing it here, in DS1 subreddit, but, the bloodborne ones are the most mindblowing as for me, especially the raven woman quest (can't remember her real name, sry), like why would you go back to gascoigne place, why would you go back to vicar cathedral on blood moon, i really can't imagine how crazy the first one who discovered this are [link] [comments] |
So... I beat dark souls today. Posted: 15 Sep 2020 01:31 PM PDT I am super happy and cannot believe it's already over, even though I have sunk almost 100 hours into the game. I love almost everything about this masterpiece of a game and cannot wait to do another playthrough to make my pvp build. Anyway you probably have heard enough gushing about this game so I'll tell you how hard of a SHAT I took on Gwyn. So I go into the boss fight thinking I might die once of twice, but probably not get frustrated. Then when he did his lunge attack at the begining of the fight I parried it and that felt SOOOOOO damn good. I knew that I had already won this fight, but then I parried every single attack he threw out after that. I felt like a god, like I could take down everything. Then I just fuckin... Exploded just because I touched a bonfire. Lol Anyway, I really loved this game and I hope that you lovely people of the dark souls community will tell of your experiences of the game, and maybe even some fun pvp builds that you like. As always, Praise the Sun. Edit: Thanks for the support on this post! I was in a good mood already because I beat dark souls, but then I got the most upvotes and stuff I've ever gotten on a post. So... Thanks people! [link] [comments] |
I’m confident with the lore but I have 2 questions. Posted: 16 Sep 2020 12:58 AM PDT My questions are: 1) How did the fire appear? 2) Where did the people come from to take the powerful souls? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Found a red vagrant while invading! Posted: 15 Sep 2020 04:15 PM PDT https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/672939409552965655/755565955886612610/Screenshot_44.png I have wondered whether red 'invader' vagrants would be able to see other red phantoms, but it seems that's not the case as I couldn't interact with it. I tried leading the host all the way back through Anor Londo to see it, but by the time we got there it had gone. The host then promptly got shot off the girder by those archers, and now they will forever think I was just leading them on a wild goose chase. 'Seprioh', if you ever see this, I was only trying to show you the vagrant! [link] [comments] |
Restarting the Journey, along with a discussion. Posted: 15 Sep 2020 10:38 AM PDT It is with a solemn heart that i wave goodbye to all of my dark souls characters from 1, 2 and 3. My ps4 bricked and i lost all of its data, including my DS saves. So i begin anew, (ironically similar to the chosen undead), to face the bosses with nothing but a basic sword and the clothes on my back once more. I am not looking for handouts or advice, but if you want to leave an F for the fallen, i would greatly appreciate it. Now on a less serious note, I look forward to restarting the series from scratch again. (I am starting from dark souls 1 and not demon souls because that is getting a remaster and im waiting for that.) New game plus is always cool and keeps the excitement there, but to me nothing quite is like loading up a fresh character at level 1 (or wherever your class starts you) and experiencing the bosses designed to fuck over low levelled players. As such, id like the community to weigh in on their biggest nightmare DS1 boss from your first playthrough. What boss held the most jaw dropping "whaaaaat?!?" Moment for you when you first saw it. Mine was definitely the gaping dragon, it insipired a level of fear and hopelessness that absolutely tore through my resolve at first. Let me know below [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Sep 2020 08:43 PM PDT I regularly invade New Londo Ruins and Tomb of the Giants. Are these taboo areas to invade? I see people frequently in anor londo and oolacile, and they clearly are PvPers, while the people in New Londo and the tomb don't seem too well equipped to see an invader [link] [comments] |
First time playing dark souls. What is your advice? Posted: 16 Sep 2020 03:56 AM PDT I finished ds3 4-5 times already so its not my first ds game, but what differences should I expect? Any useful advices? Thanks in advance for everyone! [link] [comments] |
This community is awesome. ❤️ (My small journey to finding some other writers in this subreddit!) Posted: 15 Sep 2020 09:43 PM PDT So as some of you might know, I've been writing a story based off of the Dark Souls universe. I recently made a discord, and with the amount of people who joined, I can't say that I'm anything less than ecstatic!!! Some other folks who joined said they had been writing their own stories as well, so making the discord brought so much motivation to me. Seeing the community come together in even a small way like this is enough to put a smile on my face! I even took time to make roles for people who write fan stories on games such as Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, or Sekiro (so we're not leaving anyone out) And, on top of that, I wrote 1,325 words in an hour! That's more than I've ever done, and it was filled with a lot of good character development. I've released another teaser, and things are going well. Just thought I'd share how things were going. Without this subreddit, I might not have been able to really find this talent of mine that I didn't have much time for in the past due to lots of school work, and life in general. So with that said, thanks a ton guys! If you want to join the discord to take part in this little writer's community by adding your own work, or to simply read and follow the story I'm making, you can join here: https://discord.gg/WtSkqdD [link] [comments] |

Finally after two years of on and off playing it's happened... Posted: 15 Sep 2020 06:24 PM PDT Last night, after buying the game two years ago and finally deciding to play the game seriously a couple months ago, I slayed Lord Gwyn! After dying too many times to count and changing equipment and upgrading, I fought him like a normal character instead of focusing on parying only and that did the trick. I never felt happier about beating a game and I know my girlfriend is releaved too to not hear my frustrated moans and noises anymore in our apartment. I took on the game and did the whole play through and every boss fight on my own (and with the help of YouTube of course) and I feel incredible. Now to win again (already at the iron golem now that I know how the game works it feels) and then take on number 2 and get frustrated all over again in new ways! Hail the sun my wandering hollows! Posted: 16 Sep 2020 01:07 AM PDT Hello, this is my fourth start at playing Dark Souls and it's finally clicking. I beat Bloodborne multiple times and Sekiro but never any of the Dark Souls. I'm learning how to use pyromancy at the moment :) I just defeated the Moonlight Butterfly. I can't wait to keep playing! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Sep 2020 04:55 PM PDT Looking for any1 to lay a summon sign down for the kalameet fight! Just need him and gwyn down and I can start my ds2 playthrough! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Sep 2020 10:37 PM PDT Title says it all and I doubt anything could convince me otherwise [link] [comments] |
The guy named "elder_ring_2021" Posted: 15 Sep 2020 07:24 PM PDT I was invading this guy, with the name as said in the title, when i find him he was cosplaying as a naked hollow in undead burg, acting just like one. When i approach him he just drops a purging stone, a humanity, the pendandt and then uses the black crystal. [link] [comments] |
AITA for killing a player who was fighting 3 Darkwraiths? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 11:23 AM PDT I invaded a player 2 days ago in New Londo in Dark souls 1, after searching for the player to kill him I found him in the room next to the Four Kings entrance fighting Darkwraiths braindead me instantly used Dark bead ( I even forgot to bow sorry ) and killed the host but earlier the host saw me coming and ran into the room where there was Darkwraiths that attacked him Am I an asshole for doing that? update: ok turns out I'm the asshole. Kaathe gave me max rank in the scumbags covenants [link] [comments] |
Reminder to try and have a back up save Posted: 15 Sep 2020 06:30 PM PDT I just started a whole new playthrough on Dark Souls Remastered a few days ago after spending over 200 hours on my mage account in NG+. I was doing a quality build with my boyfriend (got one of the Lord souls) and we had both our weapons maxed out and got to the end of the DLC by Manus. Everything was going so smoothly and we were having so much fun when all of a sudden we had a power outage and my data got corrupted😩 Please don't end up like me. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Sep 2020 02:39 PM PDT We have Mario Maker. We have editors in soooo many games. where. is. dark. souls. maker? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Sep 2020 02:53 AM PDT So I'm in the lower parts of the Undead Burg, with all the hounds and assassins, and I've come across this odd looking spot that's just a bunch of the scrawny hollows in a formation and they're all holding torches.. What is this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Sep 2020 02:10 AM PDT Im planning a „Crusader/Paladin" like build with heavy armor and focus on STR and FAITH for PvE only. Now, should i just use weapon buffs like Sunlight Blade or are Divine and Occult enhancements any good? Even in limites areas? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Favorite song off the Official Soundtrack? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 06:28 PM PDT I do not know if this is a repost, so sorry if it is, but... what is your favorite song from the Dark Souls 1 Soundtrack? [link] [comments] |
