Posted: 15 Sep 2020 10:25 AM PDT Greetings, Bearers of the Curse!This post is a global heads up to inform you WHEN Return to Boletaria will be officially starting, as well as to inform you of how to participate via connecting to the Private Server, and on what platforms this is available. Before the important information is laid down below, I must say we encourage all players, old and new, to participate - if they can - and enjoy the perfectly functionally running Demon's Souls online mechanics. Any kind of online participation is encouraged, and even if you don't like to invade or cooperate, simply playing the game, writing, rating messages or dying while connected will make an impact towards an alive Boletaria! And yes, this is online! This shouldn't be news by now... but we have been maintaining a Private Server for almost 3 years now, allowing players to connect to them and play the game online. When is it starting? When is it ending?Return to Boletaria will start on the 4th of October, lasting for two weeks until October 18th!
In the past we were overstepped by a second Return to Yharnam (Halloween themed), so this year we are properly coordinating. Thus, if the Bloodborne community wishes so, there's a perfect available space right after Return to Boletaria. For example, from the 19th to the 31st of October! How can I participate?You can participate by connecting to the Demon's Souls Private Server on either PS3 or RPCS3 (PS3 emulation software). Instructions below:

I beat it sometime last night after around 45 hours of gameplay. It was super intense and I loved it so much. It's amazing how active this community is and I'm excited to play through the dlc. | Posted: 15 Sep 2020 05:12 AM PDT Coming from ds3 being my first souls game and loving the pvp aspect of the game (probably racked up about 400 hours in ds3 pvp) , I'm stunned how great the pvp is in this game. Apart from one wifi warrior, the connections were good, hitboxes seemed sharp and precise, and latency wasn't a worry at all. Anyways, if there's any pvp nerds who can give me some helpful tips that are more specific to ds2 that would be much appreciated. Thanks and have fun out there [link] [comments] |

| How rare are the human effigies? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 11:46 AM PDT I just started DS2 coming from Dark Souls Remastered, and am have a ton of trouble with the hollowed mechanic of losing health on death. I am currently at 50% health and have four human effigies. Should I use one or hold on to them? Is there any point that they are farmable like humanity was in DS:R? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 15 Sep 2020 02:50 AM PDT I don't understand why this area gets so much hate. The idea for it is genius, if pvp matchmaking was easier. The concept of the area being filled with traps and enemies that are there to only aggro onto the invader gives a fun and unique spin on pvp. From the Mastodon throughout to the axe throwing statues, the area is a lot of fun. And the more invading you do, the more of the area you can open up using lock stones , allowing for you to be the one trying to take down an invader. I wish there was an area like this in the other games as it's a great area. If the pvp matchmaking was better it would probably be in my top 10 areas for ds2 [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 15 Sep 2020 02:22 PM PDT Hi, I have created another build for dark souls 2, and as always inspired by the coolest enemies I find around me. I really really love this game and the variety of builds available, and that can be seen by the few other posts I made in this subreddit about builds. With that said, I also really dislike the SL 150 meta, because it cramps stats, and doesn't allow the full potential of caster or hybrid builds to fully show itself. That is why I enjoy making sl 200 builds. This build can shred PvE, and quite possibly deal a lot of damage in Pvp. Even my build isn't at maximum capability, so I decided to not touch cast speed, and to concentrate my two ring slots on my weapon damage (the other two were occupied by the southern ritual band +2 and third dragon ring, that are appreciated by most builds). I think that that is the wisest choice, because when buffed with sunlight blade my weapon (heide greatlance) can reach up to 680 damage, and if it hits a counter it can hit for more than 1.2 k damage. And that is not counting an R2, or a jumping attack. I could have chosen a better pvp weapon, but I love lances, and with the old Leo ring the attacks get very powerful. https://soulsplanner.com/darksouls2/11479 The miracles aren't fully defined, and can be subject to changes pretty easily. | (PS4) How to Efficiently Farm Ultra Rare 1-Spawn Drops Posted: 14 Sep 2020 04:16 PM PDT Anyone whose gone through the horror of burning through dozens of ascetics to try to get sets of certain, ludicrously rare items from enemies who spawn literally once and don't even come back with Company of Champions, i have found a solution to cutting down the number of ascetics you need to the number of rare drops in said 1-spawn mobs' item pool. Thankfully, several of these are now found as loot in SOTFS (visible Aurous set, Catarina set, Mad Warrior set, Durgo's Hat, Chaos Rapier/Shield, Warlock Mask, Cursed Bone Shield, Heide Knight set, and Black Witch Veil), but others did not get that treatment and one set that was once easily obtained became bullshit to obtain (Insolent set). So here's what you do to get all of these so that you can save your Ascetics for Dragon Aerie titanite bathing or something just better in general. This method is to obtain the Red Lion Warrior, Insolent, and Monastary armor sets, Old Mirrah Greatsword, and Black Witch Domino Mask. First, go to said 1-spawn mob, equip all your item discovery gear, and have your Rusted Coins in your item quickslot. Then just quit the game to auto-save right in front of your target. Than, go to Settings and save data applications which should allow you to UPLOAD your system data to an online storage. Do that. Then, go back to the game and murder that 1-spawn bastard. If you didn't get the drop you want, close the game and go back to your settings, then go to your online saved data and OVERWRITE your system data with it. This will revert you back to before you killed that mob, to then have another chance at what you want. This cuts down the number of ascetics you need to how many pieces of rare gear that mofo has that you want, rather than burn 50+ for nothing. After you obtain 1 of the rare drops, go back to your setting and UPLOAD again, updating your save to have the obtained item, then burn an ascetic to repeat the process for the other drop(s). Due note that this will still take a while and many, many attempts depending on RNG (did this for 2 hours to get the Red Lion Warrior cape and helm), but it's still MUCH faster, easier, and less awful than constant ascetic burning and having to put Aldia's front lawn's bonfire intensity to 500 for ascetic loop farming. I hope this helps you drastically cut down on the pain in the ass bullshittery that is obtaining the above rare stuff, as i was somehow much worse in vanilla DkS2. Happy farming. [link] [comments] |

I know the farming method of the falconer but I've had really bad luck with them, any specific bosses those around my level would summon for? Or am I back to the ol falconer grind?
