Bloodborne subreddit now allows pictures and videos, should we adapt also?

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 07:42 AM PDT

I really don't understand why pictures and videos are not allowed. I have had plenty of memes that i could only share with my 3 friends. Like in every soulsborne subreddit there's always the same post with the most upvotes: "i fianlly beat this" and "this game ain't as bad as they say". Those point were made by a redditor on the Bloodborne subreddit and it does make a lot of sense. We could see how bb subreddit handels things and at least allow memes to be posted at some point in the future

Which boss would you consider the most bullshit boss? Not talking hardest, but worst cheesy attacks that get you killed.

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 05:51 AM PDT

Doing Ancient Dragon right now and that AOE is kicking my ass. He's not difficult otherwise, it's just that attack.

If you made a DS4 as a DS2 fanservice game like DS3 did DS1 what would you add?

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 05:03 PM PDT

So I got this idea after seeing a BoTC boss post and if there was a fanservicey DS2 game I think the final boss would go down like this:

The fight starts with a Vendrick sized Bearer of The Curse carrying the Ruler's Sword on his back armed with the Sanctum Shield and a spear, He uses the shield to cast Dark Fog on you. This is the Sunken King Phase.

After that phase he loses the shield and spear and his arms start to get covered in molten lava, He uses it like a caestus and pyro glove doing the attacks the Old Iron King does such as the laser beam and Firestorm punch.

The next phase his Lava Arms harden and crack as he pulls out the Ruler's Sword on his back and starts fighting like Vendrick but faster.

The Last Phase you hear him say "Die!" In a familiar tone as he swaps the Ruler's Sword over to his left hand and buffs it like the Ivory King does, He starts fighting you just like the Ivory King.

This could be Dark Souls 2 2. And after the boss fight you see Emerald Herald like you did Alsanna after Ivory King. Its been centuries and she has now gotten weak the only words she utters are a senile rambling "Bearer.. Seek.. Seek.. Lest.." as she fades away joining the Bearer of The Curse.

What else do you think would be in a fan service game for DS2?

    Pyro Tips

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:26 PM PDT

I'm looking for tips on making a really OP pyro build. I'm only gonna use it for the dark lurker fight. How do I get more powerful? I'm using the dark flame because I'm always fully hollow and I've upgraded it a bit but not much. How do I get a bit more OP?

    Underrated Areas of Ds2

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 12:49 PM PDT

I've been wondering for awhile because I see a lot of posts about how the more difficult areas of Ds2 are the more disliked/looked down upon areas of 2 how people actually feel about some of them.

Personally, The Gutter, Earthern Peak, and Shrine of Amana, while being generally disliked by the community are some of my favorite areas of the game (moreso Gutter and Earthern Peak).

I really love the layered design of The Gutter and alongside No Man's Wharf is one of the first areas of the game that really encourages you to use a torch to navigate which is one of my favorite design aspects of Ds2. There's tons of hidden items and cool areas you can visit off to the sides without detracting from the relatively simple path to the end. If it was larger and had some more varied environments It would be the best "blighttown equivalent" of any soulsborne game for me.

I also really liked Earthern Peak because it introduced the Desert Pyromancers and the Manikins which while being the bane of my existence are both really cool and memorable enemies. The Manikin claws were one of my favorite ds2 items added to ds3. Earthern Peak also nails the maze like death house aesthetic in a unique way compared to Sens Fortress because while Sens focuses more on the oppressive death house aesthetic which is reflected in its dark and claustrophobic atmosphere, Earthern Peak focuses more on the maze like exploration aspect and it is an ironically begrudging sense of joy to explore its winding hallways filled with dangerous traps and enemies.

Anyone here have an underrated area they'd like to discuss? Would love to hear why people like some of the other less liked or talked about areas of the game

My friend and I all of a sudden can't summon each other

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 12:26 PM PDT

My friend and I have been playing this game like a co-op since the beginning, we've both nearly the same soul memory and we can both see each other's summon signs, but once we try to summon each other it fails to summon for some odd reason. It's been doing this for over an hour and we've tried everything. We've reset our games and restarted our systems (we both have Xbox) we even have the name engraved rings. (We've even tried to summon other people and it works for some reason, we've even summon the same person to our worlds in the same location)

    Dagger build

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 10:31 AM PDT

    Hi guys,

I am trying to do a dagger only build. In other words, no magic EXCEPT weapon enchantments/buffs. I am thinking of going mundane or dark? However mundane daggers got nerfed, so i am not sure anymore... bows and crossbows are also allowed.

    Could someome please help me?

Gathering of Exiles Achievement Not Unlocking?

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 10:22 AM PDT

I got all of the NPC's to move into Majula and I haven't gotten the achievement. Could it be related to the fact that I killed Maughlin the Armorer? Could I use a bonfire ascetic to respawn Maughlin or would the other NPC's return to their original place?

Dragondrider Halberd; better scaling with Bleed infusion?

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:58 PM PDT

I'm looking for weapon options on my Spellsword character and noticed that, at +1, the Dragon Rider's Halberd has a B INT Scaling with the Bleed infusion whereas it's Magic and Enchanted infusions only reach C and D. So part of me feels inclined to try the bleed infusion.

However, I'm trying not to be frivolous with resources and I'm not sure that it will be any more effective than the raw damage a magic infusion would provide. Any recommendations as to what I'll be best off with? I'm running the magic weapon buffs, by the way.

Side question: are Enchanted infusions just worse than the Faintstone Magic infusions? The pure physical damage will benefit more with a Ring of Blades, but i feel the AR will be worse regardless.

In your opinion, what’s the worst designed / most difficult zone in Dark Souls 2?

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 09:34 AM PDT

    Hey there!

I know, I might be half a decade too late, but I just started playing Dark Souls 2 SotfS just over a week ago (and I am loving it, don't understand the hate this game gets). Right now I am at Earthen Peak and up until now I enjoyed most zones. I accidentally went into The Gutter before going to Huntsman Copse and thought it would be Blindtown bullshittery part 2, but with being really careful I made it through it without dying once (still, that area sucked). And then I found my way into Harvest Valley (ugh) and Earthen Keep.

God, this is definitely the worst zone yet. The pathways are narrow, around every corner is an assassin dropping from the rooftop and then there's poison. Poison everywhere. I think I died 15-20 times until I finally reached the second bonfire. I am so happy when I can finally leave this cesspool of a zone. It reminds me of Sen's Fortress (which I hated the most in DS1). Some enemy placements just seem outright unfair to me and those Pyromancers almost oneshotting you...

I am not even halfway through the game yet, but I am really interested if there's more bullshittery like Earthen Peak coming. What's in your opinion the most difficult or worst designed zone in Dark Souls 2?

What's a good Infusion path for a melee weapon to supplement a Sorcery/Hexes build?

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 09:58 AM PDT

I'm currently using a handaxe and sometimes a mace in my right hand, and I switch between a dagger and my staff in my left. I don't plan on putting any more points into Strength or Dexterity. What're some good infusions for my melee weapons?

Don't Black Gulch while lacking sleep.

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 09:49 AM PDT

I don't usually rage ( I mean I do but internally) while playing games but I was particularly unlucky at dodging spitting statues down there and kept dying trying to get to the giants and Mr wheelchair that I've punched myself and thrown objects. When you're gonna game, best do it when fully aware fellas :'-)

How to get access to DLCs?

    Posted: 20 Sep 2020 09:19 AM PDT

    Hello guys.

I'm playing DS2 on PS3, and I have the black armour edition. I previously finished DS1, prepare to die edition, which already contained the DLC (Artorias of the Abyss). So I was wondering if my edition of DS2 already had the DLCs inside, or whether there's a way to have them.
