"It was a sight to behold," says a Forest Guardian, "I was running into walls trying to get after the Bearer of the Curse, when I saw that fucking behemoth absolutely going at it with Tark. He was taking it like a pro, not moving even after half his HP was finished." Said Bearer of the Curse is some schmuck who has been in the news a lot lately, becoming increasingly more well-known for his murder and robbery of Drangleic's hottest souls, and his penchant for violent fits of Hexing. Lion Warrior, who used to share a precarious dungeon space with Vengarl (the body), is livid: "First he unpetrified me, then he killed me, now he takes away my roommate? Fuck's sake, I keep swinging my axe, and he just walks back and pokes me with that long katana he has." Tark, the victim, made no comment. When our correspondent Crow got to him, he seemed to be dozing, and could say nothing at all. Vengarl (the body) was not available for comment. He died to a barrage of Dark Orbs and left his armour and a bounty of 8800 souls to his murderer, who is said to be heading to Huntsman's Copse to take on the owners of the Skele-Town Rave Cave, the Skeleton Lords. | BlackSunshine23 on PSN, if you're reading this, you should be sainted Posted: 10 Jun 2020 07:44 PM PDT i'm running through lost bastille, can't get through to steady hands. the pursuer's come in, i'm getting chased by about 50 mobs, i'm low on health and shit at the game. all of a sudden; invasion. oh christ. the guy comes up to me, emotes pleasantly, i take a leap of faith and smack the destructible wall, thinking if he kills me instantly at least i'll be able to get here quick. he pulls out a fire arrow, aims it at the barrel, lets me into steady hands' room. he then proceeds to drop stacks upon stacks of items, (items which i'll never be able to use) including souls, healing items, armour sets, we even had a 5 minute fistfight, then he went through the level with me. i don't even know how that's possible, but his red invader glow dissipated, shedding his hostile persona to reveal the shining, gallant knight that lay underneath. i was only there to wait for my co-op partner, couldn't bring myself to kill him, and his PSN didn't allow me to send him a message, so i gave him a wave after being AFK for a minute and he killed himself. his last action as a living man was to sacrifice himself to save me the pain. Today just at Drangleic Castle alone I got invaded 7 times. 3 times whilst trying to sort out the Ruin Sentinals. I know I know it's part of the game, if you don't like it gtfo and go play offline. I'll be honest the messages gives me a chuckle now and then, and I like the feeling of seeing bloodstains and others running around. Makes me feel that I'm not alone in this godforsaken place. But come on, my SM is through the roof and I'm running out of effigies ya red bastards!! Oh but I love this game. This was just a silly rant. | What the fuck is up with the Old Iron King DLC? Posted: 10 Jun 2020 06:25 PM PDT I've been balls deep in From Software for months now. I beat Sekiro, Bloodborne, and completed my first ever DS1 SL1 run followed by my first ever DS1 no death run. Then came DS2 which I am admittedly much worse at and haven't played in years, but still things were going pretty well until I got to this specific DLC. I'm pretty sure I have died here more than everywhere else in the game combined... I am doing a power stance katana dex build with absolutely no shields or ranged attacks of any kind, which I think may be adding to my misery here. Is this a regular problem for inexperienced DS2 players? Because right now this is by far the hardest area of any game I have ever played, and I'm starting to think I am doing something fundamentally wrong [link] [comments] |

Made sure and got my defenders great sword, bow of want, and finishing up any last minute things before I start ng+. Trying to figure if I should do the dlc. Would I need to go it before ng+? I must say I was a little surprised by the lightning defender great sword. Not sure that it's as good as I'd thought it would be. I think my lightning murakumo is stronger. | Posted: 11 Jun 2020 10:26 AM PDT I really enjoyed learning the mechanics by fighting all the enemies up through the Heides Tower of Flame, to the point they stopped respawning. Ive moved on and am able to travel to/through Grave of Saints, Shaded Woods, Lost Bastille and No Mans Wharf, where enemies are all still respawning. Just last night I learned about what Soul Memory is and how it works with Coop- My Soul Memory is 530,000 and Im lvl 62... Did I royally screw myself out of jolly cooperation by farming souls over and over? I just got the Agape Ring- should i just wear that now and stop leveling up for a while? Should i start over on a new character? Or does none of this matter? Im on PS4 and its very hard to find any summons or be summoned, even in the Orange Border travel areas. But I would love to hear what everyone liked, and didn't like. Personally my favorite areas were Dragon Aerie/Dragon Shrine, Sinner's Rise, and Heide's Tower of Flame. Least favorites were basically all the locations full of poison like Earthen Keep and Harvest Valley. Thought those were pretty dull and annoying while also not providing great bosses in Earthen Peak's Covetous Demon and Mytha. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 11 Jun 2020 03:52 AM PDT I'm using the Hexer's Set, apart from the chest piece, along with Vengarl's armour. I have a Large Leather Shield, Sunset Staff+2, and my Uchigatana+5. Is there something wrong with using armour for magic builds? I put a single point into Vitality so I could use Vengarl's armour without fat rolling. Is there a "right" way to be a Hexer? I knew where is eye that made Aava visible, I spotted that it's possible to drop down to path where eye is just after came to Eleum Loyce. So I get my cat ring and I dropped down. I died. My character isn't sorcerer so I can't tried with fall control. Is there any way to survive that jump? It would be great to skip backtracking. [link] [comments] |
