I hate those wheel skeletons!! Posted: 21 Apr 2020 10:32 AM PDT Ok, so I got trapped in the Tomb of Giants. I spent all day trying to get back, then found out about lanterns. Finally after hours, I get back to the catacombs. Only to get locked in a corner by the Wheeled fuckers, and spawn back in the ToG.... I'll try again tomorrow, I just feel heartbroken that I have no problem with the bosses so far but those skeletons absolutely annihilated me. That's all, just wanted to get it out of my system and ask for advice. [link] [comments] |
I just 100% Dark Souls remastered! Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:46 PM PDT (THIS IS MY FIRST SOULS GAME) I bought the game a while back and played it up to ornstein and smough (with the drake sword bc I thought it would carry me through the entire game lmao) and felt stuck so I quit for about a year. I recently picked the game up again and restarted the 16th of april and now it's the 22nd of april and here I am 100% the game and not only that, but I have obtained every ring, armor piece, and weapon, including shields, and bows, etc. In the game! (Not sure if this is a crazy personal achievement or anything, but I didnt even think I would be able to beat the game so I'm pretty proud of myself haha) [link] [comments] |
Aural Decoy and the Capra Demon Posted: 21 Apr 2020 07:01 PM PDT I posted this on r/darksoulsremastered, but there seems to be more traffic here. If you are like me, the first 3 seconds of the Capra Demon fight are the most important. If I am able to get to the stairs with a decent amount of health, I nearly always win, but that mad dash is never a guarantee. Most of the time, I get pinned and killed trying to get around the demon and his dog minions. Today, however, I tried something new. I had heard that Aural Decoy worked on the dogs, so I thought "What the heck, I'll give it a shot!" The result was laughable. I fired the spell as soon as I entered the room, but the demon was already mid-swing. However, I don't know what kind of sonic distraction the Aural Decoy puts out, but it must be pretty great because the snarling mass of anger turned mid-air to get to whatever I played for him! After that, it was a simple, leisurely stroll up the stairs for the easiest boss fight I have yet to experience in Dark Souls. So, ladies and gents, I highly recommend using Aural Decoy the next time you face the Capra Demon! [link] [comments] |

Estus Flask Replica - Cobbatron Props Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:40 AM PDT Hi all! I'm Cobbatron Props, Soulsborne cosplayer! I just finished casting this Estus flask and wanted to share a pic! [link] [comments] |
Dark souls dissected #10 by illusory wall : Out Of Bound Exploration Posted: 21 Apr 2020 07:20 AM PDT Hey guys, Illusory Wall just posted a hour long video about OOB stuff in DS1. I really recommend you check it out : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYjMgHaml04 I thoroughly recommend the rest of the series, especially the one about Lordran Layout and how everything is interconnected. Obviously it contains spoilers. [link] [comments] |
After Seven Years...I'm No Longer a Poser. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 10:30 PM PDT I first heard of Dark Souls when I was caught wind of the hype for its sequel in 2013. The trailers looked cool, so I did some research and discovered the one of the game's main draws was its notorious difficulty and challenge, a challenge which I foolishly believed I could overcome in its sequel, going out to purchase it on day one. Looking back, this was the worst game to get into the series, for reasons we're all familiar with. I made my way to the Last Giant with some difficulty, getting used to the controls. 15 attempts later I slew my first Dark Souls boss and felt a surge of confidence that I carried into the next area to face the pursuer. It was a massacre. Attempt after attempt left me defeated and ultimately broken. Resigned to my fate, I returned the game and thought little of it afterwards. Until it all happened again. Dark Souls 3, the finale of the now (in)famous series that left a huge impact on the industry. I was once again swept up in the hype and rushed out to get my copy. Carefully making my way through the graveyard, I found the big crystal dog and gave it my all until it was finally slain several attempts later. I pressed forward to Iudex Gundyr, horrified at what he turned into half way through and believing I would once again be making the walk of shame back to gamestop to return it. To my surprise, I defeated Iudex Gundyr on my third attempt. From there it snowballed. Vordt went down on my fifth attempt, and while I would struggle more with most of the bosses afterwards, I felt my skill developing with each death. Something I didn't experience in my short time with Dark Souls 2. Finally beating the Soul of Cinder, I immediately rushed into New Game Plus, beating the game again, entering New Game Plus Plus and once again showing Lothric who's boss. With my knowledge of Dark Souls' general mechanical feel and trickery, I applied that back to Dark Souls 2, finally conquering my arch nemesis the Pursuer and ultimately laying waste to Drangleic as well as claiming the three crowns. Yharnam was next to fall in my conquest, leaving just one game left: Dark Souls. I purchased the PC edition, and while it was certainly janky, my skills with other FromSoftware titles was able to get me through, until...Blighttown. That was where I could no longer handle the jank and put the game down, holding on to the faint hope that FromSoft would remaster it and give us a proper hope. Lo and behold, they did. Launching headfirst into it Day One, I tore my way through Lordran, beating Smough and Ornstein on my fourth attempt, and Artorias on my very first attempt. What finally got me, however, was Manus. Correction: Not Manus himself, but rather his run-up. Having beaten every other FromSoft title, long, terrible run-ups were not new to me. But for some reason this particular run-up, coupled with Manus' difficulty in general as well as a sense of burn out with the game made me step away for a few days. Then a few weeks. Then a few months. Then over a year, until I finally decided three days ago that it was finally time to finish this game no matter what. And I did. It was arduous, but Manus finally fell before my blade and all that was left was the OG himself: Gwyn, Lord of Cinder. The first few times he beat my ass in less than a minute without me being able to touch him. But, thanks to being able to practice on his knights outside, I re-honed my ability to parry and smacked Gwyn's dumbass sword out of my way for a devastating roundhouse slash with my Black Knight Greatsword+5. Three more parries and I had finally done it. I beat Dark Souls 1. I am no longer a poser. TL;DR: Been playing FromSoft since 2013, but got gud in 2016. Beat every other FS game except DS1 until today when I finally slew Gwyn for the first time. [link] [comments] |
Dark Souls poster style fan art Posted: 22 Apr 2020 02:58 AM PDT Hope you like this poster style fan art I made for dark souls. Its not finished so still WIP. I've done a bunch of these across the soulsborne sekiro series. Check it out. [link] [comments] |
I did Kalameet and Manus in the same night as I am playig the game for the 1st time Posted: 21 Apr 2020 06:29 AM PDT So my gf intruduced me to the game a couple of weeks ago and we've been playing the game since during the nigths. She gave me a lot of tips and paved me the way so I wouldn't get to much loss but all the bosses were done by me and understanding how the fights go. Yesterday I finally did "Black Dragon Kalameet" and "Manus" after a couple of frustrating nights trying to end one or the other. Today I will finish the game with Gwyn and I can honestly say it is a hell of a ride but a proud one! I know I can't say I had the full DS experience since I had a lot of help during the run but this game.. this game's just amazing! NOTE: Knight Artorias. Seriously, congrants for whoever remembered to create that character and arc. That boss was amazing! [link] [comments] |

Some cool unused content for nito Posted: 21 Apr 2020 08:45 AM PDT Unused content this isn't my video, it's someone else's but it shows some recovered content for the nito boss fight, basically in this cut content when you hit nito his bones fall off and they become skeles. Nito would be a cooler boss if instead of having skeles gank you at the start, the more you damage nito the more bones fall off him and turn into skeles. Idk why from didn't design nito like that he would be much better. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 10:17 PM PDT So I'm going through a new play through for dsr. I'm trying to go this game with no summons and I completely underestimated pinwheel. I'm sure that guy had about 10 spawns when I luckily landed the final blow. I've never struggled with this boss, but today was an odd exception. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 01:26 PM PDT If you own DS1 on PC and you feel like you've nearly "mastered" the base game, you definitely need to download this mod. I would say it's definitely not meant for a first-time playthrough. It's not perfect, some of the choices of bonfire and enemy placement are... interesting to say the least. But a lot of work and care obviously went into it, and it provides a fresh take on a game you probably love. I won't get into the details because I don't want to spoil anything, but the main things the mod changes boss fights and enemy placements. There is also some cut content added and additional unofficial lore written by the mod creator. I know that many of us have some extra free time right now, so definitely check it out and give it a go. [link] [comments] |
What to do with 99 humanities? [First time playing Remastered, BLIND — No Spoilers please] Posted: 22 Apr 2020 04:02 AM PDT Hej, guys. First run, completely blind. No spoilers (at least very detailed ones)! Completed BlightTown and killed Quelaag. Joined the covenant of a similar Quelaag hidden behind a wall. Completed Anor Londo, killed O&S. Then I went to the>! library on the hill!< and managed to get to Seath where I died instantly. Then I was thrown>! inside a cell, yet in the library,!< and I decided to farm souls a bit at the bottom of the tower. There are some blue enemies with tentacles on their heads that give +9000 souls each round. Also, there is a jail behind them with Logan inside — well, I think it WAS him — because I made it aggro accidentally and ended killing him between the bars (I don't have the key yet). Back to the question: I was able to farm 99 HUMANITIES here... What to do with it? Note: I am playing OFFLINE, I don't have PS Plus. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 05:47 PM PDT What level should I have my weapons and armor at? The lightning spear gargoyle ladies keep wrecking my shit. Also I talked to that Caterina dude outside of Sen's fortress but couldn't find him inside (mostly because I forgot to look after dying like 10 times to those stupid snakes) Does this mean his quest line is over or can I trade my sanity to go back and look for him in Sen's fortress? Edit// Also where am I supposed to invade that yellow dude that killed the firelink shrine keeper? [link] [comments] |
How much attunement do i need for a pyromacy build? Posted: 22 Apr 2020 03:12 AM PDT |
Finished dark souls last night for the first time Posted: 21 Apr 2020 01:33 PM PDT It is a masterpiece. I'm so glad I gave it a chance, I went in thinking it was just a hard game for the sake of being hard but I love it so much. It made me kinda sad but relieved to finish it. [link] [comments] |

Global Restart Day/Return to Lordran Posted: 21 Apr 2020 10:37 PM PDT Just learned about the above mentioned, and is it only for original original DS or DSPTDE and DSR as well? Also what day is it held on? [link] [comments] |
Is there any way to spawn in keys to the game? Posted: 22 Apr 2020 02:09 AM PDT I have already finished the game and started a new game+. The thing is i completely missed the Artorias DLC. I want to play it but don't have time to replay the whole game only to get the broken pendent. Is there a way to spawn it in? I tried Cheat engine but i only know how to spawn weapons and armor. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 Apr 2020 09:19 AM PDT So I've drained NLR and I found my way down the stairs case but to no avail as it says need ring at the end of the staircase. The four kings are at the abyss no but I'm perplexed on how to get there. Igward did say I need to learn from Artorius, probably some NPC, so where to go from here? Btw I killed Seath the Scaleless and I plan to go to catacombs and demon ruins after. [link] [comments] |
