I'm drawing the dark souls bosses, here's the asylum demon! Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:46 AM PDT https://i.imgur.com/5Nwifzj.jpg This is a project I've always wanted to do but never started. Now that we're all locked up I think it's the perfect time! [link] [comments] |
I did it! Don’t give up Skeleton! Posted: 03 Apr 2020 04:05 AM PDT I just beat Dark Souls Remastered 5 minutes ago as my first ever Souls game and holy crap was this game amazing! It might not seem much to other people who do SL1 runs and stuff but I'm so proud of myself for completing this, now I have Dark Souls 2&3 to complete which is great because of the Coronavirus lockdown I've got all the time I need :) What were your favourite bits of this game and favourite bosses? Let's have some Dark Souls appreciation!! [link] [comments] |
So I just found solaire by the bed of chaos... Posted: 02 Apr 2020 06:37 PM PDT This was my first play through of dark souls 1 I had already beaten dark souls 2 and 3 so I got some experience with solaire already. I was really enjoying playing around with solaire and he helped me beat ornstein and smough. Then I found him in lost izalith and... I had a emotional roller coaster. I will not go in detail of what I found in case some people don't know what I'm talking about. [link] [comments] |

These games just have no chill sometimes.. Posted: 02 Apr 2020 10:09 PM PDT After preparing to fight the Four Kings I remembered that I hadn't killed the Stray Demon yet.. So I clutch my +3 Black Knight Greatsword and curl up like a ball in the crow nest to be taken back to the Asylum. After flinging the torch wielding Hollows into the next cycle with some R2's I was eager to get to the second hardest challenge: the Stray Demon. I walked into the room and dispose of the two Hollows before going to the center and making the floor cave in, thinking this was going to be pretty quick with my brand new toy. I stand on the weakening floor and it gives way to the arena in which I'll encounter my next foe. Before my character finishes recovering from the fall the Stray Demon quickly hits him with a downward strike, taking the rest of the HP that the short fall had not yet claimed. [link] [comments] |
I just finished dark souls for the first time Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:33 AM PDT I just cant believe it, i mean i tried to beat it 4 times and each time i gave up. Now that i actually finished it i dont think that it was very hard and i would like to maybe play dark souls 2 or 3 but i am not too sure. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |

I just realized blight town is really pretty Posted: 02 Apr 2020 06:06 PM PDT I just realized that blight town is a gigantic moat for Anor Lando. I have played this game Alot and have been playing nonstop for about half a year and I have only been down the depths route once before my current playthrough. And wow I was just blown away by the roots and the wall and the bridges in the distance that you don't really see while you're sprinting through a bunch of poop orcs and giant flies and no blight town is not beautiful just look up the next time you're down in the swamp and realize that Anor lando's beauty penetrates all the way down to the muck down there [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 01:19 AM PDT I'll start. I was in Oolacile township fighting someone with a sunlight blade buffed rapier. I was having a terrible time of it and got to the point where one hit on my shield would have killed him. So, like any desperate player about to get electrocuted, I attempted a parry. I pulled it off and killed him with a great scythe riposte. I can only imagine that guy's poor face. [link] [comments] |

I did a digital painting inspired by Dark Souls Posted: 03 Apr 2020 03:09 AM PDT Here is the Digital Painting, It's called "Rest by the Bonfire" : https://imgur.com/gallery/3RRbUF6 "Rest by the bonfire" Back Story for those who are interested: A year ago I bought Dark Souls Remastered, I had never played any of them before and after I watched a video by NakeyJakey called "Dark Souls Saved Me" I bought the Remastered version on Xbox One on the 28th of May 2018. After a few hours of playing, I put it down and didn't touch it until the 5th of November 2019 and decided to put the time in as I was unemployed about 7 months at this point with, so I decided I'm gonna nail this game once and for all. I spent roughly 15 hours traversing Undead Parish too afraid to pass the fog to fight the Taurus demon. Skipping forward about 50 hours I found myself in the Depths heading into another fog gate and a cutscene started to play for a boss fight and there and then I finally got hit with why people love this game so much and why they love series as a whole, It dawned on me that I went from dying to hollowed undead for 20 hours to fighting a fighting this vagina creature known as the "Gaping Dragon" and found myself falling in love with the game, I was finally hooked. On the 9th of November of 2019, I rested by the first bonfire in Tomb of the Giants and just sat in Aw of the journey I've been on so far and reflecting on how this game was scratching it's way into my top game of all time and thats hard to do since I cherish my favorite games and usually regard them as unbeatable in quality, but Dark Souls did it. So I took a break for a half an hour to eat food and when I came back the screen was still on and my character was just resting by the bonfire in Tomb of the Giants and I felt a sudden rush of inspiration in that moment to do art but not just any art, I need to create something special that isn't my usually goofy cartoon style... So I decided to paint, I honestly can say, growing up I always hated painting, I couldn't get the grip of it and I say my last time painting before this piece was in 2011 when I was 14, but this game inspired me too much that I tried to use my non understanding of the paint tools in my art software and 4 hours later I created this. I hope yall enjoy this art and don't you dare go hollow friends. [link] [comments] |

Lore wise how does black eye orb work? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 11:25 PM PDT In other Souls games too. You can invade the world of an NPC. What does it even mean? Don't they live in your world? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 06:00 AM PDT Is there any 'safe' or 'least dangerous' route from the Upper blighttown bonfire to quelaag, I'm currently hauling 140000 souls around (its for the sorceries from griggs and logan) and I am scared that I'm gonna lose them. Any advice at all is much appreciated :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 06:00 AM PDT I know there's a million of these stories but damn. I never thought it was over hyped but the feeling of joy and relief after winning at the same time is such a rush. I'm going through my first time semi blind (I'll look up how to get to certain areas but not bosses or upgrading or anything like that). I happen to choose pyromancer without knowing it's super cheesy against bosses, but I was still getting my ass handed to me. The best part is always learning movesets and how to fight certain enemies. I killed Ornstein first only cause he was always closest (and pyromancey) and Super Smough would just immediately sit on my face. But little by little you just learn and "get gud". Finally struggling and winning. Must've died like 15 times. Then, only to learn they both resisted lightning. I just upgraded my iaito to lightning before the fight... RIP. But damn that sweet, sweet warp. Praise the sun! Hope none of you go hollow! [link] [comments] |
Thoughts about Artorias and Sif Posted: 03 Apr 2020 05:55 AM PDT I just finished Dark Souls for the first time. Even before playing it, I heard a lot about its legends, I think anyone, who didn't even play the game yet, knows Artorias and Sif. I always seen people 'crying' on their story. I was excited to face them and prepared to cry. But I didn't even blink. It's not what I was expecting. I think I read all of the items descriptions and found as many dialogs as I could about them, then I read Dark Souls Wiki for an hour so I have the full picture. And still nothing. I mean, it's a fine story, fine characters, but can someone explain to me, why people call it nearly the best story/characters in the entire soulse-borne series? I'm not trying to be an asshole who is bragging about lacking sympathy/empathy, no, it's not the case. I want to understand. Maybe I missed a key detail? But as I said, I read all items and dialogs and even watched a lore video on YouTube. The NPCs clearly say, that you're (the Chosen Undead) will not be mentioned, your great deeds in the Abyss will be attributed to the Artorias, because his fragile honor cannot be destroyed. Even though he failed and you saved the whole Oolacile, princess, wolf and helped Artorias rest in peace, nobody will praise you for that and we will tell everybody that Artorias is the hero. And as for Sif...It's a good one, it's cute, but again, not the best story in the series. Gerhman from Bloodborne was doing literally the same thing: was fighting us, the players, to actually protect us. But I doubt Gerhman gets as much love and tears as Sif. So what's so special about the hype around Artorias and Sif? It just feels so exaggerated and overblown by players for no reason. P.S. And a Pinwheel 'prepare to cry' hype is even more ridiculous. My second Lady fanart - Undead Merchant Female Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:39 AM PDT https://imgur.com/a/bCku3NZ When i met her, she really scared me. I really thought it's a trap. I guess that s why Merchant stays behind the bars, mb she used to be killed many times. I know... second lady can be Reah, but it's more likely to go thought Merchant way, even after Capra boss. That's funny how firstly we met 2 women in cages in the row. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 02:51 AM PDT Yeah apparently there are some non canon comics, about the dark souls world. Why did it take me so long to find this? I was searching the wikis looking at item descriptions and what not, I started with lenigrast, a blacksmith from DS2, read the was hollow and had to double check that, then I find the dark souls wiki has a page on demon souls, decide to click it. Then it has a little blurp on a link between demon souls and dark souls, Garl Vinland. He appears in a dark souls comic as a silver knight fighting along side Gwyn against dragons and demons, then as a enemy guarding a holder of a demon soul. Checking out the comic Dark souls: age of fire, on the wiki, at the top it says non canon. I understand why though, having some comics out there you could read and co.e to understand the lore would kinda kill their whole lore thing with item descriptions. Well, saw a video a while back and they mentioned not much is really known about Maiden Astraea, the lady Garl protects, but her soul is described as the most impure soul in the trivia section on the wiki, and she drops a pureboood demon soul. Now Garl is described not as dead but changed after being consumed by the fire in the comics, what if he didn't become a demon in appearance, and still joined the demons. Then the entire dark souls story plays out, he survives like patches, and then demon souls happens. As for why she has the pureblood demon soul is she is a daughter of the Witch of Izalith, one who has a soul from the start of the demons, it doesn't get much purer than that. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Apr 2020 04:59 AM PDT Hey, Does anyone reckon it might still be possible to get the Darkmoon miracles? Trying to go for all achievements during this lockdown. I guess you need them to get the prayer of a maiden. I'm on prepare to die on PC. Cheers guys. [link] [comments] |

Wtf is a raw weapon( uchigatana specifically ). Posted: 03 Apr 2020 06:51 AM PDT So guys I again maybe screwed the pooch I am at blighttown and killed queelag ( amazing chest ahead btw) but be4 that I leveled my uchigatana to +10, well that was the plan but when I reached Andre I kinda modified my weapon accidently and got raw uchigatana and reinforced to raw uchigatana+9 so which is better uchigatana+10 or what I have now. And I am looking for that Knight we freed at undead parish I haven't asked 4 his help 4 the boss. But he is missing. Ps. Where can I find artorias sword cause it sounds so badass. [link] [comments] |
