| Okay, You Guys Probably Get This One A Lot. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 05:58 AM PDT Hello! Just bought the game on steam last night and, upon trying to play, my controller doesn't register. I tried running the game with keyboard and mouse after that, but my camera just keeps spinning when I get in. Controllerwise, here's what I've tried to do to fix it that some people have suggested: I've tried both a DS4 controller and an Xbone controller. I've tried using DS4 windows, but to no avail I've run the game both in and out of big picture in attempt to get it working. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Would appreciate the help guys! | Posted: 20 Apr 2020 04:53 AM PDT I want to get invaded, and also be able to invade so i can be a sinner and get invaded even more. Currently at 3.2m soul memory, farthest place unlocked is blightstone, all cleared which sent me back to majula, havent gotten all the way through iron keep yet (just recently found it), havent figured out how to get down the pit in majula yet or how to get to castle drangleic, its a blind playthrough In addition to the general question about what SM range has the most players nowadays, *without spoilers* what would you recommend i do on my char from here? Agape ring now, or move up my SM as i continue through the game? Iron keep used to light up orange at the bonfire but doesnt anymore, now only blightstone does sometimes but even then it rarely manages to connect [link] [comments] |

| Does some PvE enemies have BTSR mechanic? Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:24 PM PDT I have noticed this a number of times. So far I have played PvE only At those encounters I have the stats with a weapon that can kill a particular enemy with three R1's or two R2's. Sometimes the enemy have just a little bit of health left, and one more hit should be way more than enough to kill him. I decide to empty my remaining stamina to go in for a quick R1, instead of backing off to heal or regen my stamina. But miraculously the enemies survived, and poised my hit no less then proceed to punish me. The enemy has no shield and did not block my last hit. Almost feels like certain random enemies (well not too often at least) were wearing blue tearstone ring or to that effect. Does Dark Souls 2 have this mechanic that I am not aware of or is it just in my head? [link] [comments] |

| Summoned to a world with hundreds of items Posted: 20 Apr 2020 11:42 AM PDT PS4 version. Bought ages ago but didn't give it much of a go until the lockdown. I put a small soapstone down next to an early bonfire and was surprised to be summoned almost immediately to a room with a few dozen bags on the floor. I picked one up and it turned out to be five or so stacks of 99 souls each. I'd prefer to play the game the way it was intended so I discarded them all. Is this some sort of duplication exploit? | Dark Souls 2 - The gift that keeps on giving Posted: 20 Apr 2020 04:28 AM PDT Hi everyone, I posted a few weeks ago to express my awakening to the wonders of Dark Souls II (post here), and thought I would give you the update that noone wanted I have completed New Game, including all the DLCs, and have moved on to NG+. Firstly, the DLCs. Hands-down, my favourite DLC was the Crown of the Ivory King. I just love the winter mechanics and rolling in the snow. It was beautiful. In the Crown of the Old Iron King DLC, I was warned about the "Blue Gatorade Demon" (thank you u/autismshooter). The boss wasn't that bad. I beat him first try and I beat old smelty first try. Dark build is OP. The run-up to the boss, however... sucked. I thought it would be easy; spam Dark Orbs for life. NOPE! I get denied the use of magic. Brilliant. Sir Alonne sucked as well; stupid katana-wielding, speed-thrusting weeb. I even went and smacked the ancient dragon and Vendrick! The dragon was easy to manage when you knew you had to start running BEFORE he takes off. Wait too long and you cannot avoid his fire. Other bosses that gave me trouble in NG include: - Velstadt; the tracking on his pancake smash is OP - Lost Sinner; my fault, I burned a bonfire ascetic wondering what it did. Got smacked down by everything under the lift. Those crawling slobs of fat are hard-hitting tanks. Note: They are also stupid and will fall into the lift hole. - Elana, Squalid Queen; I must have bad RNG because she summoned her buddy Velstadt so often. I saw videos where she only summons him once. - The sunken King gank squad. So I moved on to NG+ and the reason for my post title. The monster placement moved! There are more of them! Fantastic! I run through an area, thinking "I remember there is that monster in the next room, I just have t - WTF WHERE DID THAT RED NPC COME FROM?" It truly makes you pay attention to the game again at NG+. I wish DS3 kept that in, instead of just adding items. I am not too keen on PVP and never really have been, but whenever invaded, I always waved and let the opponent buff up before starting, and never used an estus/healing item when fighting them. In turn I was usually allowed to clear the field before fighting. I am glad to see that etiquette remains in most areas of the game (I was rushed every time in Belfry Sol, whilst still fighting off other things. I get it, we all play differently!) Anyway I am going to do a couple more playthoughs of this fantastic game before taking on Bloodborne and then, provided it is cheap enough, Sekiro. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 20 Apr 2020 11:37 AM PDT So, I tried restarting the Game, restarting my PC, setting the Game to high priority in Task manager, Changing the Graphic settings to the lowest possible, disabling the Steam-overly and finally disabling the powersaving mode on my PC. The only way I can play the Game with acceptable FPS is on the lowest Graphic settings, which is fine, but also the lowest possible resolution. And that makes the Game look worse than PS1 Hagrid. The only other clue I have, is that now the Game is using up 99% of my GPU almost all the time, which it wasn't before the lagging started. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:51 PM PDT He pretty good, the dagger is an actually pretty okay weapon and his starting stats are basically deprived but better imo, not terrible at anything and has good ADP. Pharros lockstone is also super good to have at the start if you know what youre doing. Aromatic ooze is alright but i never really use those items, and the starting hat is nice for farming souls from the cyclops at the start of the forest of fallen giants bc he has a chance to drop titanite shard and soul of a proud knight i thinknit is [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:40 PM PDT Hi! The only thing I am missing on soulsborne is the DS2 DLC. DS2 was actually the first I finished several years ago, but I played only the vanilla. Then I went everything of DeS, DS1, BB and DS3. I don't like to tinker or think about builds to be honest, I kind of just want an interesting one and go throught it. So thinking about the build is what keeps me from playing it. I have a huge patience to try a boss 70 times, but I am incredibly lazy about trying to optmize builds and stuff, I don't like it. Do you have a suggestion for an honest build to play the DLC and how to level it? I don't even want an optimal build, just a honest one. =D [link] [comments] |

I went ahead dusted off the old 34 million char and bought the Sunken king expansion and I am not sure if cheat or what but getting hit from a weapon that shouldn't have the range they have, I roll away only to be teleported back because I dropped my backstab, getting hit by magic attacks even after clearly evading it. I am sure this isn't lag, why? Because the opponent always does the same and somehow can backstab me even after rolling away. /rant [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:15 AM PDT Hey all, My first run through of Dark Souls 2 I ran through the game as fast as I could because Dark Souls 3 had just come out. So now I'm going back and if like to take my time. I chose a Faith/Strength Build because that was my favorite in the first Dark Souls. I've seen a lot of mixed things about faith in DS2 since the lightening spear nerfs and am looking for some tips on stats, weapons, infusions, and miracles to use. From what I've gathered offensive miracles are so so and I should focus more on buffs and healing. I plan on running with a nice heavy shield, and light armor for fast rolls.
