| Man was I misinformed about Dark Souls 2 Posted: 01 Apr 2020 12:38 AM PDT Hi Everyone, I started playing Dark Souls 2 after having played Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 2 years ago (I keep going back to them. Fantastic games). I always avoided DS2 because a few friends of mine said that DS2 was the worst Dark Souls game. Two weeks ago a Reddit post on one of the soulsborne subs (I can't remember which one or I would give it credit) was asking about DS2 and the comments on there made me reconsider my inherited disdain for DS2. I immediately went onto the PS Store and found it for only £8! Scholars Of The First Sin! Bargain. I must say this has changed my view completely. This game feels largers than DS or even DS3! I am only at Earthern Peak but I hear that I am not even halfway yet. The graphics are very good and the gameplay itself is interesting (a lot of jumping required). I just noticed that from Majula I can see most areas I have been to. It's all great! Currently I am running a hex build because I have never seen hexes as a standalone form of magic (it was always built into magic). I know, easy mode. At least it's not a greatsword build! I have no idea whether my friends all played Vanilla DS2 and hated it or whether their opinion was just rubbish. One even sent me a sarcastic comment when they noticed I started playing DS2. They won't listen to me when I tell them that I am really enjoying it. This story just shows that one's opinion is greatly influenced by one's peers. I regret not playing DS2 and I am making up for it now. Oh and the throwback to the Gargoyles from DS was unexpected and so much fun. | I killed Lucatiel and have no regrets Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:48 AM PDT There, I've said it and feel better now. After getting SotFS on my pc (only played the game on console b4), I've started numerous playthroughs trying to find a fun and unique weapon to upgrade early before completing any full map. After taking several builds to at least Drangelic Castle, and a few further, I decided to try a Dex-based sword build. The early choices were the Drangelic and Mirrah GS. I had used the Claymore on a previous hybrid character, so that was out. The Drangelic GS required me to beat two bosses and needed Twinkling to upgrade, and the Mirrah GS only needed one boss and the regular upgrade path. I had to kill Lucatiel though. Lucatiel! My main waifu, hell.. everyone's main waifu. The one NPC I always finished their storyline, no matter what number playthough I was on. If she died during a boss fight, I would just stop fighting and let the darkness come.. But in the name of experimentation, I convinced myself I was saving her from her inevitable fate and took her down in that rickety shack in No Man's Warf. As much slaughtering as one does in this game, I never felt as much as a cold blooded killer as I did then. I steeled my heart and used my drowned emotion as pure determination to take her sword to +10, unleashing all that fury onto a hapless Last Giant and Pursuer. Everyone is going to have a different weapon type that fits their style, the Mirrah Greatsword fits mine and I have been wrecking the game so far with it. It is strange to go to an area where she would be or her summon sign, and I get a twinge of guilt that rises up in me. I push it back down and march forward, as this game has no patience for the soft of heart. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:50 PM PDT after going thorugh that room myself and experiencing the op gank, i was like wait i bet alot of people are hollow in thier time in this room, and theres no where to run from souls appease, so after trying it out it did 876 dmg and 80 percent of first hosts hp, used again next to the bonfire room and he was dead before he could get halfway in estus animation [link] [comments] |

| Is attunement worth it on my build? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 09:48 AM PDT Currently a poison swordsman. Haven't upgraded attunement(now 6 attunement). I heard the shelter demon is easier with flash sweat and realised a lot of bosses are weak to pyromancy so I was wondering should I get an attunement slot for some pyromancies. But first it ruins the build I was role playing as second I don't really wanna waste upgrade points on something I rarely use. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |

I was under the impression that the NPC you speak to in the beginning of the cathedral automatically gives you one Knight. I only have three and I confirmed unlocked all three knights. Also just killed Rotted and the Lost Sinner. 33VIG|30END|21VIT|32STR|12DEX| Greatsword+8 and full set of Tseldora with the rings of Silvercat,Silver Serpent, Blades and Binding. Armor is defo wrong but i just never bothered to upgrade or change it since the start. Also the Greatsword is +8 and i have a second so i could one hand two gs's. P.s. Are Ruin Sentinels the way to the Gargoyles ? Only played through hand full of times and by now forgot a lot. [link] [comments] |

I need help Posted: 31 Mar 2020 03:34 PM PDT Hello everyone, 2 hours ago some asshole (to say the least) named "Hitler" entered to duel with me. Even before the gates were opened he instantly killed me and broke my armor and weapons. I was redirected to the bonfire and everything seemed fine. My character could move normally, and interact with other npc like nothing happened, but I couldn't attack and I have my left greatsword (I was wearing 2) blocked on 2 handed, my right greatsword crashed without any picture showing. I can't change them by using the direction pad and the best part of all, if I press start and A (X on ps controller) to enter my equipment the game instantly crashes. And that seems to be planned to force players to delete their characters, unable to use them anymore. I pretty pissed off and I was wondering if you guys have any idea of what to do to fix this. I would rather not delete this character as I was playing a run with a friend and we had one or two bosses left to beat the whole game. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
