| Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:13 AM PST I just killed Nashandra and thought OK, I've killed the Queen so now I can fight the King right? Nope. A cutscene plays and then credits roll. You've beaten the game. All throughout the game, Vendrick has been hyped up to be THE big bad of the game, so I don't know whether it's my stupidity or what but the ending just feels empty without fighting him. Like, I took the throne but the last king is still alive? Am I missing sonething? Edit: killed him. The fight was fun but easy. The lore was cool and his in memory dialogue is cool too. | I realized how much I love Dark Souls 2 Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:56 AM PST I'll begin prefacing by saying that Dark Souls 3 is my favorite souls game next to Bloodborne and I know each games like the back of my hand. When I first played DS2 I absolutely hated it. It felt clunky, I felt the lore was boring, most combat was just ganks, and I hated the bosses so much that I only played the game twice before dropping it and moving back to DS3. I played through 3 almost 200 times and finally felt bored of it and, as I wanted a new souls game to play, I saw that I still had 2 on my console and, remembering how much I disliked it, started it up again with clenched teeth worried that it wouldn't satisfy my itch for more souls. After starting a new dex character and finishing the main game and Ivory King dlc, I've gotta say that I absolutely love this game. There's something about it's world that I don't get from any other souls game. I love the diversity of locations and especially aesthetically after 2 months worth of desaturated colors in 3 and somewhat in Bloodborne. I find the bosses fun for what they are (Ivory King is in my top 3 with Maria and Abyss Watchers) and I adore the weapon diversity. Armor looks cool and makes for great fashionsouls opportunity. Not to mention Majula might be my favorite area in any game, it just feels so comforting and warm. I'm so happy I gave this game another shot because I've been enjoying every moment. | Story Behind the Gender Swap Coffin? Posted: 16 Feb 2020 08:20 AM PST Every other item in Dark Souls seems to be a clue to deciphering its cryptic story. It seems out of place that they'd put the Gender Swapping Coffin so early in the game purely for the sake of trolling. Best theory I got is that some of the fire keepers used to be dudes. Like only women CAN be fire keepers, but they had a shortage of women at some point. [link] [comments] |

| My very first time with Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin Posted: 16 Feb 2020 12:36 PM PST The very first run of Dark Souls 2 was successfully completed, but before it goes to NG +, the DLC's are first visited. I read the bosses and the DLC areas are supposed to be nastier than the normal game, because I have to admit that the beginning was a little difficult but after the loot and level spiral got started it was not "easy", but really difficult it wasn't as a close-range fighter either, once you had the attacks from the bosses and co out. But in all I have to say Dark Souls 2 has entertained me very well so far. And I'm curious what the DLCs have to offer. Praise the sun! [link] [comments] |

Well I did and the first two I looked for weren't there. I'm not joking, I found the house in huntsman's copse and got soul spear but there was no chest. Same thing with The Tower of Flame, there was just a dead end, no enemy, no chest. Am I supposed to use a bonfire ascetic or something? I've beaten the final boss of the game and everything but I just wanna max out my dude before I try the DLC :( this is super discouraging Not to mention, my estus is at +2 so I think I got the one in Castle Drangleic but I couldn't say where I found the other one, I have been playing this on and off for like a year so I don't remember. And yeah this is Scholar of the first sin and I'm sure of it. Help please?? [link] [comments] |
