You can barely see shit 'cause everything's white af and there's this stupid blizzard. Then those fucking reindeers with lightning coming out of them that just kept fucking my shit up and with even two of them spawning at once, every now and then. Not to mention the area is filled with so much...nothing. I literally got lost trying to find the entrance to Lud and Zallen. Didn't notice I passed it already because I couldn't see shit. It's a good thing I was able to beat those two cats on the first try with the help of the two summons I have 'cause I don't wanna run through that piece of white shit area again for the fifth time. I have played a bit of 1 and 3 at my friend's house on Xbox One and sucked. I'm a huge newbie with basically no experience. To get right to the point: I just bought Dark Souls 2 for PC on Steam since it was on sale, and I SUCK. I don't really understand how this game works at all bro. My small feeble mind is troubled trying to absorb everything, and the game doesn't really bother to explain much. If anybody is willing, I could use some help here. What advice might you have? What are the basics I should know? I keep dying for what seems like stupid reasons and it's been driving me up the wall. Also... why the FUCK are all the controls on PC displayed as though I'm playing with a controller? I'm using a mouse and keyboard. Translating all the console buttons to PC keys is very annoying so it's made figuring out the ins and outs of the controls way more complicated than I thought it would be. By no means am I complaining about the game though. I LOVE IT, I'm just very sucky and am very confused. Any help would be appreciated my brothers [link] [comments] |

This cover almost half the bosses in the game. The only boss that is mentioned and praised on the base game is Orstein & Smough but i don't think it represents the major boss quality of ds1. I would also mention that some people say Nito is terrible aswell (more rare to happen) I don't think the bosses of ds1 are better compared to ds2 ones. So why people don't mention ds1 bad ones? | Posted: 03 Jan 2020 07:07 AM PST Hey all; heading into NG+2 to finish working on some trophies to 100% this game. Played my whole first playthrough as a hexer, and the second whole playthrough I ran a sorcerer build. For the third playthrough, I want to attempt to run a faith build. The only issue is that I don't completely know how to maximize the power a faith build has to offer. I know they're not intended to primarily revolve around casting damage, but I'm unsure of what weapons to use to compliment the build, especially in ng++ where some of the other weapons I enjoyed (spears, twinblades) don't have high enough damage to be worth it. So tldr; I suppose I have two questions. A. What gear should I be running (already have a lightning dragon chime maxed out, so I'll probably just use that) to make this build strong enough for later ng+ cycles? Off the top of my head, I do have the lightning clutch ring and the sun seal ring (I know the bell helm gives you like. A percentage or two in damage but I'm not sure it's worth it) B. What weapons are strong enough that AREN'T all lightning damage? Lightning damage is definitely strong, but I always prefer not to solely delve too deep into just one damage type (in case I encounter enemies who are resistant to it) It's probably worth mentioning I'm around sl 250 and will be using a soul vessel here soon anyway, so I'll have some free points to put in dex or strength if needed. | Posted: 03 Jan 2020 09:34 AM PST I'm a dark souls nub but I'm loving this game. My problem is I feel so wesk compared to videos I've watched of people's playthroughs. Here are pics of my current stats. I'm guessing the problem is the weapons I'm using but everything else just feels so slow to swing. In the Below pics are the 2 weapons I've been using basically since the beginning of the game. I'm currently at the drangleic castle and I'm barely doing any damage to the knights or even the big elephant dudes. I chose "warrior" and I only use melee weapons. I was thinking i need a faster weapon, maybe with a slash or really anything to fight the enemies i cant fight with the spear. I raw infused a blacksteel katana andcureently have it and +4 but i barely use it since it seems underwhealming. Is there any weapon i should use next to the spear? Should i even? Also, if somebody reads this, is there a goos bow i should go for? I'm playin a dex/faith build with, so far a heal, fireball and heavenly thunder. [link] [comments] |
