So NG+ is no F**KIN joke...

    Posted: 16 Dec 2019 09:29 PM PST

So I beat the base game and dlc's about an hour ago...thought why not get a jump start on tomorrow and knock Betwixt and all the Majula events out..I load up thinking I have this slow star ahead of me so I'm just gonna run to the three hags..BOOM...Falcons flying at me from three directions, arrows from another, not to mention the birds of prey handlers. I panic roll around for a second take out Mr.Arrows with some dark orbs then proceed to handle the falconers, I'm back stepping towards the hag hut while battling the remaining two falconers...one down, cool I got this under control...Think again my dude...have to reds to go with that last falconer...what the shit is this! Dealt with this and headed toward Majula. Curiosity has gotten the better of me at this point and I decide to head on out towards Crestfallen. So I'm having myself a nice little stroll and go for that first treasure chest...have yourself a mimic to the face my boy! There's reds at every turn now and here I thought I was going to run thru it get all my shit and just have a tougher time with the bosses...Thank You Dark Souls! I can't wait to see what else is different.

Good weapons for a low damage stat build? I want to play a character that only levels health, stamina, adp, etc.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 08:19 AM PST

I've been going back through the souls games using non-scaling weapons.

Raw ASS in ds3, lightning reinforced club in ds1, stuff like that.

The only weapons I can think of off the top of my head aren't available until later in the game. Are there any good ways to get good damage until later parts of the game where I have more non scaling options like the malformed skull and the black dragon weapons or santiers spear?

How does the attack system work?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 08:57 AM PST

Hey guys! Im kind of new to the game (a friend gave me and told me to play it, so I did) and so far I am having a really hard time understanding how the attack sistem works. I have a sword that keeps changing the attack and it got me killed a lot of times and sometimes it even does this weird attack that is just a bash that don't do any freaking damage... How do I chose my next attack? How can I avoid using the weird one?

    Wow...amazing level construction- Lost Bastille

    Posted: 16 Dec 2019 09:30 PM PST

I had run through the area after the tower bonfire, cleared out the apparent items I could find among the various paths, but was killed by the big guys in the cloaks.

So I decided to just go down the "big cloak guy and dogs" route and got to a dead end.

There was a locked door and no other apparent exit.

As I started backtracking up the stairs I saw a barrel that I tried to roll through, but I just ended up pushing it.

So then I thought "let's roll the barrel down the stairs"....

I never expected it to actually do anything, but now I know better...lol

Something ive been thinking during my playthroughs..

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 07:17 AM PST

I would love to have some more content of king vendrick and his armies fending off the invading armies of the giants. Like way more than the memories provided us. It could be like the crows dlcs mixed with the memories, where you get to see how everything started, how the war evolved to what it was and much more stuff. You would meet unique npcs like, let's say, a royal soldier who just arrived to the battlefield and how he has low hopes of winning this war, or even a giant who actually is against the war and just wants peace(you could use the ring of whispers since giants do not talk like "normal" beings?) or even king vendrick to help lead his armies or giant lord for the same. You would get to see how the forest of fallen giants took its name, how drankleick ended up like this, how the undead curse affected everyone and it slowly caught up to vendrick as well and many more stuff!

I would like to hear your thoughts on this one or/and suggestions!

    Boss Arena Measurements?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 08:41 AM PST

So, I am in a D&D West-Marches, and one thing I like doing is recreating monsters, events, and items from other media.

At the moment, I am running a magic area that occasionally has Bosses from DS2, that reward special items related to the game. My current issue is translating the size of the bosses's into Metric Feet. Seeing as D&D uses 5x5 foot squares, and I have no real way of measure the actual length/height/width, it makes it extremely hard to remake their respective areas.

I was hoping that someone would have some approximate measurements of all the different arenas in DS2?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 09:35 AM PST

I have nearly 1000 hours in this game and i didn't manage to dodge the Sinh fire breath from the air a single time.

I'm using a dex build which is already frustrating enough against this boss and am now at a point where i just want to get this fight out of the way and leave it behind me

    Advice please?

What is the better starting class and why?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 01:02 AM PST

    Hello everyone,

I have been thinking what is the best starting class? lately I have been watching all boss speedruns (for part of game that I did so far) and I see most people start with the hunter class so I found that curious and it made me think.

    1) How good is deprived? is the stat distribution in the end soul efficient for it to be better choise in a long run?

    2) Who is the best class according to you? To me it feels like cleric is insane, as the early game heal is amazing due to low estus amout and mace is pure devastation for most early game bosses/enemies.

Note: I know that in the end the differences are very small, but I found it worthwhile to stop by and think how good of a start I got with cleric compared to what I would get with others.

In my opinion, DS2 is the most fun souls game to actually play.

    Posted: 16 Dec 2019 03:35 PM PST

It isn't my favourite though, my order would be: DS1>DS2>DS3>Sekiro>BB

DS1 has an incredible world, level design and is my favourite game of all time, but the combat is a bit meh compared to From's later games.

DS3 is more polished than 2 and has far better bosses and music, but the build variety isn't as good and, whilst is may feel good when you attack enemies, the combat is by far the most shallow in the series, with it just being R1 and circle spam for the most part.

Sekiro has incredible combat that feels better than any game I've played in my entire life, but there's only so many times I can play through the game before the lack of RPG elements makes it feel a bit samey.

BB has some great bosses, a great soundtrack and is my 5th favourite game of all time, but the game just isn't as intoxicatingly immersive and brilliant to me as dark souls and Sekiro.

DS2 strikes a good balance between feeling good and requiring strategy, whilst also having a stupid amount of variety. In my opinion, DS2 is the easiest soulsborne game to start up a new character on and just start playing with no real goal in mind besides having fun.

Rank the 4 main boss fights from each game

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 09:55 AM PST

As you may have noticed every Dark souls game has you defeat 4 main bosses to progress. Dark souls 1 had the 4 great souls, dark souls 2 had the old ones and dark souls 3 had the lords of cinder. So rank all of them in a single list from your most favourite to least favourite. Also, give a reason for your ranking. Here is my personal list

1- Abyss Watchers (The entire premise of the fight is really unique and cool and I'll never forget the rush of adrenaline that came from defeating them. My hands were literally shaking)

    2- Prince Lothric

    3- Aldrich of the Deep

    4- Yhorm the Giant

    5- Gravelord Nito

    6- Lost Sinner

    7- The Rotten

    8- Four Kings

    9- Seath the Scaleless

    10- Old Iron King

    11- Duke's Dear Freja

12- Bed of Chaos (I think its obvious why)

Faith scaling on infusions not worth it alone?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 03:24 AM PST

So, it's my first build reaching late game (king's pass, did no dlc yet).

    I curently have 50 faith, 40 attunement, 20 strength, 12 dexterity.

I recently respecced because my stats were spread too thin trying to use both heide spear and bandit axe (lightning infused), so i respecced out of 25 dex just to get my faith to 50.

So, besides heide spear which i can't use now, both lightning rapier and lightning bandit axe only have around 45 lightning damage scaling.

So, is the 50 faith useful only for miracle damage? And lightning weapons with natural lightning damage?

Just went through my second spirit vessel.

I'm almost tempted to say f*** it and restart with pure physical and company of champions. But i need to push myself to finish the damn thing for once.

    Covenant question

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 02:41 AM PST

So I'm coming from Dark Souls Remastered, absolutely love DS2. It's my favourite in the series so far, I actually enjoy this world a lot more than DS1. It has a lonely vibe to it which adds a good punch to the adventure.

    Anyways, my Q is:

In DS1, I often would spend my time in the Forest covenant, either with a file that is part of the covenant, or on a file that gets invaded in the forest. Is there any covenant similar on DS2 that is active (ps4)?

    PVP scene on PS4?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 02:29 AM PST

I just got back into DS2 and I just had some questions about pvp. Is the meta level still 150-200? Where do people do fight clubs now? I'm at 4mil SM now and I've only been invaded once, and I've waited to invade for a good chunk of time with nothing. I know about the area markers but even in the really populated areas I get nothing. I'm just worried the game is pretty dead, and I hope I'm just not at a good SM or something.

noob question hex build 80 SL early on pvp

    Posted: 16 Dec 2019 04:29 PM PST

so im 80 SL lvl and soul memory 694948 and im at black glutch right now my hex stats/gear for hex are:

28 int 20 faith 27 att cast speed 106 dark rapier +8 sunset staff +3 clear bluestone ring ring of knowledge stamina ring

and yet when i meet invader its impossible to to hit him , the moment i cast spell it its enough time for him to roll through it and hit my face and when i try rapier dark its too low damage and i never break his poise so invader would be happy to trade with me with two handed sword since i feel rapier too slow and its speed feels like im using two handed weapon and ofc my main stats would be less like health/stamina , but even in lvl 150 SL spending 30 int , 30 faith will still lower my health/stamina so i won't be the same foot as enemy and my question not sure what to do

2nd question what good magical build that help me play safe playstyle ?? i was thinking about spear but don't know which to choose !!
