I just solo beat Ornstein and Smough for the first time (switch). It took me all of about 90-100 tries. but man. I was so happy when I finally beat them. It came down the the wire. I had exhausted all of my Estus flasks and used my last humanity to heal and had less than 20% of my health remaining.

Reliable way to use Power within with RTS

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 01:26 PM PDT

    https://imgur.com/a/pRO066y

    Details:

    • Wanderer class - 10 VIT = 573 HP. Never leveled up VIT
    • DEX = 40, Faith = 30
    • Baller Swag Sword+10, Basic talisman
    • Get cursed(573 -> 286 HP)
    • Get Dusk Crown Ring(286 -> 143 HP)
    • RTS activates at 20%(28 HP)
    • Power Within deals 1HP/sec damage
    • Santcus heals 2HP every 2 seconds nullifying Power Within
    • I dealt approx 720 damage/hit to Sif(less than what I thought it would have been)

Gonna see how far I can get with this :P

The sunlight blade buff is gone in the pic because I took too much time to equip the shadow set :(

Power within's effect is active but visuals get overridden by those of RTS.

Why do people hate/seem to hate shields?

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 12:32 AM PDT

I'll post most of the things I've been told.

"Dumbs down the game" "Isn't the real of playing"

Why do people hate shields so much and give me shit, when I say I love to play my own playstyle with them?

This game woke my interest in mythology

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 04:30 PM PDT

Yes indeed, before this game the only other lore I was reading about from time to time was the TES lore, which is so much less intriguing to me. Also, real-life mythologies all seemed so distant, boring, tales of a people less progressed...

But this game managed to make me read up not only on its lore but also on Greek, Babylonian and Medieval Myths. Basically this game has shown me a way to look at myth in a way that I really like.

Did anybody have a similar experience with this or other games?

Where is located the second bell in Dark Souls 1?

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 04:28 AM PDT

So, I'm kind of stuck, don't really know where it could be the second bell. I already found one after beating the giant spider lady, where can I find the other one?

Just got to O&S and I’m scared..

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 08:22 AM PDT

Literally just killed Pinwheel in under 10 seconds on my first try...

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 10:06 PM PDT

I heard he was easy, but holy shit, I started swinging and in (if I had to guess) about 7 seconds I couldn't even see where he was, thinking he was going to pull a sneak attack and then: VICTORY ACHIEVED! It was as if he just gave up and died on his own lol. A lot of Souls players always say certain bosses are easy that are actually hard as fuck, so I began to think "What if this Pinwheel guy is one of those?" But omg no. A single skeleton is more of a pain in the ass than Pinwheel!

    Few questions about speedrunning.

    Posted: 06 Oct 2019 01:51 AM PDT

So recently, I decided to start some speedrunning DS1.

First and foremost: which is a better version to do this? PtD or Remastered?

2nd: are there some save editors for PtD or Remastered? I'd like to dupe some items for practice(primarily Black Knight Halberd). Links would be appreciated.

The last one: are glitches allowed? Especially for Any% runs?

What all Souls games can you get the platinum trophy for, including different versions of the same game?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 09:35 PM PDT

The ones I know of are:

    Demon's Souls

    Dark Souls

    Dark Souls II

    Dark Souls Remastered

Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin

    Dark Souls III

    Bloodbourne

I know that there is more though because I saw someone got a few of them multiple times but I don't remember which.

Gonna start Dark Souls on tommorow!

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 04:02 AM PDT

For every death in DS1 I'm gonna do 5 push-ups and 5 pull-ups. In DS2 10 pushups and 10 pull-ups. In DS3 15 Push-ups and 15 pull-ups. Gonna look like Arnold Schwarzenegger at the end of that playthrough. Git gud or git ripped.

So I'm looking to get the Knights's Honor achievement. My question is should I go and finish the game a 3rd time after I gain the achievement.

So I just slaughtered the golden golem and I was trying to get the gesture from Dusk and I accidentally pressed R1 and annihilated her with my +5 Lightning Washing Pole. Does this hinder my progress?

    I need a helping hand

    Posted: 05 Oct 2019 09:25 PM PDT

I am trying to play through dark souls all of the way through on the PS3, if anyone is still playing on that and wants to help me that would be great. My psn username is: GamingLegend0725 and my discord is BeacanWentMissing#5672. I am currently working on getting to the depths and will probably be done the Capra demon fight. A helpful person with the username on psn of you_suck.gif has given me a great lord greatsword or something along those lines. He invaded me and gave me it then left.
