Without a doubt and with nary a clue I beat the game twice without any points into you. With ADP level 5, of clutch-timed rolls I'm the lord, "The game's just clunky" I say as i reach for my Greatsword. Heavy and strong and tanky indeed Big shield and big armor, a heavy metal deathtrap from which i am now freed. Adaption is the key to Darwinian natural selection A most unnatural curse, though, has been Drangleic's affliction. | Help me pick my weapon(s) for my next playthrough! Posted: 22 Oct 2019 07:37 PM PDT I just got back into DS2 (my favourite Souls game) after a long time away. I made a character that was only going to use axes, but idk, something's not clicking with me. So I want to enlist the help of you people to pick a different weapon. Here are my favourite playthroughs of the game in the past (in no particular order): 1) hunter run. Quality build using an uninfused longsword, bows, light armor. 2) samurai. Rushed to the iron keep for the mad warrior set. Eventually leveled so much (thanks to DLCs) to also invest in hexes, so I guess it was sort of a DEX/HEX build eventually. 3) pure sorcery. A sort of challenge run where I did no damage except by casting sorceries. An "archmage" run if you will 4) STR/HEX. Rushed the CBS (probably my favourite weapon) and used that for most of the run. I've never gone to NG+ with any of these runs, simply because I'm a really story driven guy, so once my character has reached the throne (or finished all the DLCs, whichever comes second), I'm done with them, ready to take on a different persona. Last thing I'll mention are some of my failed themed runs. I've attempted power-stanced caestus multiple times but the range always bothers me too much and I rarely even make it out of the first area. I've also attempted spear and thrusting sword runs, but their movesets are so boring. Anyway, any suggestions welcome. Preferably a weapon (or weapon type) I can access early (I can't do a Drakekeeper's Greataxe playthrough, for example), but again, anything is welcome. [link] [comments] |
| The last time I will have “that feeling” Posted: 22 Oct 2019 08:23 AM PDT I have beaten both DLC and main game of DS1 and DS3. I have done all DLC for DS2 but pretty much had my hand held for the entirety of the sunken city so I remember none of it. Now I am doing it again on my own and I have "that feeling" of anxiousness and wonder again. It's almost bittersweet because it'll be the last time I have "that feeling" for any of the souls games. Even better is that I can wrap it up with my favorite of the three games. [link] [comments] |

If you want to send condolences, please send 2000 Souls to my bank account: Liciaripoffservices Ok, now with the introduction out of the way, lets get to the core: - wearing the Moon Butterfly wings lets you jump without having to run, it makes platforming in the Grave of Saints pretty easy. HOWEVER dont forget to undress yourself once you are done, because the Moon Butterfly set has this trait, that it pulses out poison waves. If you are standing too close to an NPC, the first wave will have them respond as if you attacked them. If you don't back away fast enough and the second wave hits them they will aggro on you and wont calm down even if you rest at a bonfire. Either you absolve your sins or you will not be able to talk to this NPC again (until the next NG cycle). What things did you wish you knew better beforehand, please share so that other players may learn from our mistakes. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 22 Oct 2019 01:26 PM PDT so i can launch ds2 just fine, but trying to launch scholar results in the white screen before the resize to full screen that froms terrible engine does for some reason, but when it goes to resize to full screen it instead instantly closes and gives no error messages. im on a 1070 ti, so obviously i have DX11. windows is a 64 bit version, i meet all requirements. can run OTHER games in DX11 no problems. ds2 is by far my favorite of the series, and scholar is the slightly better version of it, so id like to play it. anyone got any advice on how to fix this? before anyone says, ive already dont everything on the shitty steam sticky that recommends a bunch of stuff that shouldnt cause issues regardless of your settings. | Falconers not dropping the medals? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 08:33 AM PDT So I'm trying to work towards the DS2 platinum and I'm currently farming for sunlight medals. I've been doing so for like 20 minutes and haven't gotten a single one. I've only gotten their armor pieces and shields. I'm also wearing all the high item discovery gear like the symbol of avarice, watchdragon parma, covetous gold serpent ring, etc... Does anyone know why this is happening? [link] [comments] |
