The reason ornstein drops from the roof in the cutscene Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:28 PM PDT Is because he had just killed lautrec hence why his corpse is found there. Idk if this has been discussed already just thought i would share. [link] [comments] |
A depressing detail I noticed. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 05:36 AM PDT When you talk to the Fair Lady while she believes you are her sister Queelag, she says "Please, Sister, do not cry" which is actually heartbreaking when you think about it. If she sees the Chosen Undead as her sister, then why is she telling her sister to stop crying? It's because most likely the Chosen Undead themself is ACTUALLY crying, and the Fair Lady notices that, telling her "sister" to stop crying. Maybe the Chosen Undead feels guilty about having to take away the Fair Lady's sister, or perhaps they feel such empathy towards her torment that it brings them to tears. Either way, this made me sad af, because to me, it suggests that the Chosen Undead still has enough humanity to feel either guilt or empathy, or perhaps even both. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2021 10:20 PM PDT My first Soulsborne game was ds3, that was 2 years ago and I've beaten it 15 or so times. My second was Sekiro, I've beaten that about 24 times. After Sekiro, 2 years ago, I bought Dark Souls remastered. And I've only beaten it yesterday. It took so long because I kept dropping the game, it wasn't like I didn't like it, it was extremely fun but I just kept on dropping it over the span of the 2 years, but I'm glad I finally decided to pick it up and finish it. I was st the Archives, so I was pretty close to finishing, I only had Seath and the Four Kings to beat. After finally finishing it, I can gladly call it my favourite game, everything about it is so well done and I cant wait to do the dlc [link] [comments] |

What are YOUR Unique Custom builds/cosplay? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 02:41 AM PDT Something that you have made, that you think is unique. Please detail it below with stats if applicable! After hundreds of hours played In DS1 and even more in the franchise, I'm beginning to try out newer and more wacky specialised builds. I'm currently almost done on my Boxer Build (Double Caestus without chest armour and always human to show off my muscles). So I was wondering if people could leave their builds for me to do. I don't mind the armour or weapons, cosplay is a big part of my enjoyment now that I'm good enough to not rely on min maxing armour and stats. I'll be making use of the sequence skips and/or map glitches like sen skip (to get Ricards Rapier early for example) purely to get equipment if need be, then I'll play the game like normal from firelink, so don't be afraid to suggest weapons and armour later on In the game, as long as it's not past O&S I can grab it. PS - I'll not be doing any soul or item duping, I intend on just playing from start to finish with the build on New game. No New game plus unless it involves Gywn's soul weapon. Thank you, praise the sun! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:48 PM PDT This is the first boss that I actually struggled with a little bit. I almost beat him on my second or third try but I ran into his rampaging feet just as I was about land a killing blow which was aggravating as I then struggled and died at least 10 more times fighting him. I ended up not using Gold Pine resin as it wasn't compatible with my Black Knight Sword or my Drake Sword. I tried it out with my next strongest weapon which could be was the scimitar but I eventually ended up ignoring the pine resin as I don't think it was making much of a difference. J also stopped focusing on the tail in later attempts and just went for his upper rear. Overall, the fight was very awkward and I was relieved to be done with it as I was getting flustered at how much worse I seemed to be doing overtime in the face of a rather mundane moveset from the boss. What could I have done better? [link] [comments] |
I'm trying to get all gestures and covenants. Posted: 04 Jun 2021 03:52 AM PDT If I already joined Rosaria's fingers can I still join Darkmoon Blades? (I'm in NG+3) [link] [comments] |
What should I do before I do Gwyn (should I even beat him?)? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:24 PM PDT I just wanted to have a discussion of what I should (and if I should) beat Gwyn and what is after. I plan on playing DS3 next. My main question is what is New Game + and do I have to do it? Would I be better off leaving my character for pvp and helping other people and other online shenanigans/exploring, or should I just wreck Gwyn man fire dude? Idk just talk abt it. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 08:50 PM PDT Hey, I've recently been getting into Dark Souls. After I heard about the passing of Kentaro Miura, rest in peace. I decided get back into Dark Souls (Remastered). I had been withholding from playing the game ever since I got it on sale in december. Since I had only played Dark souls 3, I've heard that Dark souls 1 is vastly different. So I was curious if I could get some tips or a brief guide of what to watch out for. Thanks for taking the time if you do comment [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2021 01:32 PM PDT a while ago i bet my middle school friend that i "12" could beat dark souls remastered and he said that you have to be in high school to beat the game but that's not true at all anyone could beat this game once you understand the combat of ds1 it's simple and anyone can beat it. Can anyone change my mind about Capra Demon Posted: 03 Jun 2021 11:50 AM PDT So I just bought dark souls remastered after beating Ds3 and Bloodborne. And so far I'm loving it. I love how the world is interconnected. The bosses so far have been pretty good too. Overall I'm enjoying my time so far. Then I got to the Capra Demon and in my opinion, I find it to be really poorly designed. The moment you encounter the boss your getting jumped by 2 dogs. And within seconds you can get cornered and die. And on top of the dogs trying to kill you, you have the actual boss who can hit you from pretty far away. The camera is also a problem due to the boss arena being so small. And for me at least, stuff kept getting in the way of the camera preventing me from seeing what was even going on. I also find it unfair that you can't even really heal when the dogs are alive. Let's say you walk into the boss arena and get hit a couple of times by the dog and you somehow create enough distance from you, the dogs, and the boss. The moment you go to heal the dogs run up and corner you. The whole fight is essentially judged on how well you do within the first 5 seconds. And also idk if this happens to anyone else. But I was walking up the stairs to give myself some space between the boss and me. And the next thing you know his attack goes through the stairs and kills me. I've been playing this game for a while and for me, this is one of my least favorite bosses in the series so far. If anyone can change my mind and convince me that this is somehow good boss design I would actually like to know. [link] [comments] |
Is it just me or are the Chaos Eaters from Demon Ruins just fucking disturbingly gross? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 10:59 AM PDT I don't know, based on my previous experience, I feel like I'm kinda alone with this, they just freak me the fuck out, and are the primary reason I've never completed Siegmeyer's questline. Keep Lautrek alive for platinum? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 06:31 PM PDT I'm doing a platinum trophy run of dark souls. Do I need to keep lautrek alive to get the platinum? I would prefer to get his ring early [link] [comments] |
Tattoo idea, want to make sure it's lore friendly Posted: 03 Jun 2021 09:19 AM PDT So, I'm thinking of getting a new Dark Souls tattoo. This time, I kind of want one of the Nameless King and Lord Gwyn back to back, with a bolt of lightning separating them. I'm also thinking of adding the King of Storms and Seath the Scaleless on their respective sides, as their dracinic companions. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Why the chosen undead did NOT link the flame! (my theory, also DS3 spoilers ahead) Posted: 03 Jun 2021 03:36 PM PDT I've started playing DS3 recently, and I'm digging into the lore. It's definitely cool to see just how many people linked the flame after Gwyn, but there's just one detail that bothers me: why isn't the Chosen Undead even mentioned? As we know he's the first to have linked the flame after Gwyn, and he brought in the lordvessel that everyone uses in the future to teleport between bonfires. Yet, he's not mentioned. At all. Not even by recurring NPCs like Andre. Completely forgotten. Why? I think that the reason for this is that he didn't link the flame, but instead became the dark lord, went forgotten like the furtive pygmy, and eventually someone else linked it after that. It totally makes sense for me, but let me know if I'm just being a dumb fuck who knows nothing about the lore. Thanks for reading! [link] [comments] |
will absolving pacify petrus' friends? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 11:01 PM PDT killed petrus on a whim as a joke at the start of my first playthrough based on a message thinking it wouldn't be any big deal but now the other knights are aggro after coming back to firelink after killing capra and im way too weak to fight them, will absolving solve this or am i just fucked? [Spoilers] Did Frampt cause the Abyss to form? Posted: 03 Jun 2021 04:23 PM PDT I don't know much about the lore of the game, but I can remember in the dlc being told about a serpent that would have been the one to bring the Abyss to the land, I was wondering if it could have been Frampt, knowing the benefits he could have gained from that. But maybe I'm interpreting it wrong? Who knows, I don't really know anything about the lore of dark souls [link] [comments] |
Can’t find my soap stone in my inventory Posted: 03 Jun 2021 06:32 PM PDT I'm certain I got the stone from solaire though I can't find it in my inventory. Which category is it in? [link] [comments] |
