| You can fight Stray demon while asylum demon is still alive Posted: 14 Nov 2019 10:49 AM PST Ok if you do not know you can skip the asylum demon by killing it with firebombs, quit out the second its death animation starts and load the game back up the asylum demon will still be alive but Oscar will give you the big pilgrim key while the asylum demon is still alive and allows the player to skip the boss. But if you come back to the asylum later in the game, the asylum demon will still be there even tho the player can start the stray demon boss, when the player starts the stray demon fight the asylum demon will not go into the hole but it will watch the player fight from the above. | Posted: 14 Nov 2019 10:05 PM PST This is the most challenging boss I've ever faced. I've probably attempted this fight 25+ times on my Switch, and I have tried everything. Going human and summoning Sif, using Power Within... Every time he uses his OP dark magic that just shoots from his wand thing and it's impossible to see coming, and I can't switch to the silver pendant in time. I'm using a melee character with a fully upgraded Black Knight sword... Also fast rolling and using flippy ring. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |

If you run straight through, the gate will close on piggy and kill him instantly. I did this by accident the first time and then did it on purpose two other times.i love that this id in here. Well, I get there & it's Kalameet. Just chillin on the platform. I've never done the DLC so I was pretty nervous because I knew it was a hard fight. So after mentally preparing myself for this grind of a fight, and thinking about what items I should put on, use, etc. I finally just go for it & smack his foot. *He spins and launches himself off the side and kills himself.* I've never laughed harder in my life when that "VICTORY ACHIEVED" popped up.If you've never tried a randomizer before, I highly recommend it. Yesterday I was feeling really bad, and I watched Snoman Gaming's Top 10 Games of the Decade video he recently released. I went into it thinking to myself: "he better talk about Dark Souls." Spoilers: he did. And when he started the segment on it, the Firelink Shrine theme started playing. And I honestly just lost it; I couldn't keep myself from ugly crying. This game, this series just means so much to me that it's overtaken Ocarina of Time as the most personal game I hold in my heart. | Posted: 14 Nov 2019 08:21 AM PST On my 3rd attempted playthrough, I have finally, officially, truly defeated Ornstein and Smough. And I'd just like to say: woah. Woah. Woah. First of all, having the lordvessel makes me feel like a whole new person- being able to teleport from Anor Londo to Firelink was honestly one of the happiest feelings I've had. Now I'm in the Catacombs with a +5 Silver Knight straight sword (the sword I smashed O+S with) and a +5 Divine Richard's Rapier and am having some of the most fun game play of my life. | Finished the DLC for the first time. Posted: 14 Nov 2019 05:04 PM PST Been playing through on the Remaster, got to experience the DLC for the first time. Had an absolute blast playing through it, and really enjoyed all the bosses. The Sanctuary Guardian was a fairly easy but enjoyable intro boss for the DLC, Artorias is really fun and cool to fight, but I did find his sword charge (which he did a lot in my fight with him) to be very easy to dodge and punish, Kalameet was easily the hardest boss in the game for me, but it was a really great fight all around, definitely one of my personal favourite dragon bosses in the series, and his music was my favourite from the DLC (the sound effect of his calamity vision gave me a headache though), and finally Manus was also a really hard but enjoyably tense fight, the way his eyes glow in the darkness was creepy. As for the other aspects of the dlc, it's something of a mixed bag. Loved some of the characters, like Gough and Chester, and it was great to see young Sif. Also liked the Oolacile Township, it was enjoyable to explore. However, I felt like the Forest was just a rehash of the Darkroot Gardens in terms of its design and layout, honestly found it kinda lame, and the Abyss felt too much like Tomb of the Giants for my liking (I did find fighting the Humanities as enemies to be pretty cool though). Overall however the whole DLC was fun to finally experience, glad I finally had the chance to. Tl;dr DLC has some great bosses, good characters, underwhelming areas, all around a worthwhile experience. [link] [comments] |

Guy in full armor I think starts out sitting next to some water in a desert like setting, very realistic graphics(cinematic trailer), western feel/not anime, the armor even looked very much like... I think it was the Elite Knight set. At some point he's walking along, everything feels very dark and souls-y. Dude ends up fighting something big, size of a typical souls boss. Anyone remember this?
