So i was wondering if any could help me with my failed to save game problem. Do i have to go in to my files or do i have to do something else? Found out the hard as i locked myself from entering Blood Brothers and getting Token of Spite from the chest. And invasions are not going well. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 18 Apr 2021 06:23 AM PDT What a beast of a boss, between Fume Knight and Sir Alonne they were my toughest fights. Sir Alonne took me about 20+ tries but finally, finally did it. My only complaint is the stupid stab forward for his grab, every time I dodged I get sucked into it, even tho I thought I was still in my I-frames. And now onward into the next DLC area (Ivory King). | Is a passive damage only run possible? Posted: 18 Apr 2021 05:46 AM PDT Hello guys, hopefully you can help me out here. I'm considering doing a really stupid challenge run, but I'm not sure whether its viable at all. The idea is to beat the game using only equippable items that cause passive damage, so no weapons and no damaging consumables like firebombs etc. The general idea would be to start with a bonfire ascetic, make dragonrider fall off the platform for free souls, ballista the pursuer for more free souls, spend 15k and burn a bonfire ascetic at majula to buy the butterfly armor, and then use that, the ring of thorns, and the old sun ring to try and beat the game. The questions I have therefore that hopefully some of you can advise on, so I can see if this is at all possible: - are you aware of any essential main story progress bosses that cannot be poisoned, assuming that I go for beating the rotten x 4 rather than going to collect every great soul? I believe nashandra can't be poisoned but is there anyone else? - are there any other outfits or rings such as the ones above that cause damage to enemies without attacking them? - does anyone know the damage thresholds for the ring of thorns and the old sun ring, i.e. how much damage do I need to take each time for the ring's effects to proc? Any other suggestions for the run also gratefully received! Thank you in advance kind skeletons [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 18 Apr 2021 07:54 AM PDT Stuck on pursuer? Dont worry, this guide will help you. So let me start with reccomended equipement. Pursuer is highly mobile boss with pretty quick combos and movesets. I would reccomend you using quick weapon, such as fire longsword or broadsword. Use some light armor or fight him naked (you will need quick rolls). Shields are almost uselles here. His dashes can be blocked, but it will consume lots of stamina. Problem with using shields is his combo, because his second move is always shield bash that will consume all yours stamina when blocking, stun you and hit you with his third atack which is ususally strongest. He is weak to lightning and can be poisoned. Now lets move to his attacks and how to dodge them. First attacked will always be his dash. Before he will dash, he will always put his shield to „guard" stance (if you dont know what i mean, it is his first attack, when you enter boss fight arena) and dash to you. After he reaches you, he will swipe you with his sword. This could be dodged by rolling to the side where he holds his shield. After you dodge his attack, he will always stand for a while, so you can hit him. His second attack is combo. Once he is close enough to you, he will start his combo by horizontal slash. Then combo goes: horizontal slash, shield bash and flip in the air and vertical slash down. Sometimes he will change his flip attack for an overhead slash which has higher reach. After this combo you can attack or heal. His third attack is thrust. This works like a grab attack. He will start charging his sword (that will turn blue) and then he will thrust forward. If this hits you, he will aflict curse on you and he will also change his moves, so try to dodge this at all cost. !NOTE: THIS ATTACK HAS REALLY WEIRD HITBOXES, IF YOU ROLL TO LATE WHEN STANDING IN REACH OF HIS ATTACK, HE WILL ALSO HIT YOU WITH THIS, SO TRY TO STAY AWAY! If you are behind him or far away, you can safelly heal. His fourth attack is sword thrust. He will enter „guard" stance, but instead of dashing, he will start thrusting his sword forward. Now lets move to the fight. After you enter arena, lock on him. Do not unlock the camera, always keep him in sight. Try to hit him after his dash or after his combo. Do not be gready. On this boss, do not stay close to him. After you hit him, run away and wait for him to dash, to hit him again. His combo can be also dodge by rolling three times. Always roll to him. He is designed to hit you when you are rolling away from him. Heal ONLY after the combo or when you stand behind him . Running away from him to heal is not working, he will dash and hit you when healing. There is a tactic to kill him using balista, but it is pretty hard to do. You need to parry him right in front of balista, then quickly run and shoot him with it. There is lots of videos on YouTube that shows this tactic, but i would reccomend you to fight him normaly, because you will fight him a lot more further in game. He is also something like test.
