Sweet co-op moment with my mom Posted: 13 Mar 2021 02:24 PM PST So my mom and I live on two separate continents, and we havent been able to see each other for over a year now because of covid. When I used to live at home we got DS3 and played a little bit of it together, switching off playing the same character. Lately we've been doing a co-op run of DS2 so that we can spend time together again like we used to! The other day we just got to No Man's Wharf and started fighting our way through the area. I've gone through it a few times already, and so we were pretty confident in not having too much trouble, except the same guy kept invading us and killing us both (especially my mom, who's super susceptible to being lured into the dark dwellers lol). After going through this loop (summon -> get halfway thru the area -> get invaded and die) maybe 5 or 6 times, we get a group message from the guy who's been handing us our asses that just says "I'm sorry" lol. After I mentioned that I'm just trying to get my mom through the area, the guy says, wanna summon me? So we do and we kick the flexile sentry's ass together easy peasy. Lovely time all around. Then we head over to the Lost Bastille to start on the next area. As my mom's waiting for my summon sign to show up, she gets invaded by THE SAME GUY. She goes into panic mode and my sign pops up, so she summons me, and starts trying to fight this guy. After a sec we realize he's not fighting us back (we'd know if he was since we'd be dead lmao) and then we all just kind of run around in circles together for a little bit gesturing around. He then proceeds to drop like 5 human effigies and a few lifegems for my mom and then bails, leaving us to our run through!! Finally Did It! Posted: 13 Mar 2021 07:32 AM PST After putting a thousand some hours into Dark Souls 2, including the playtime of the original version, I finally opened up the path to Drangleic Castle without killing all four Great Ones. I'd like to say this partially due to the Return to Drangleic event, which I took advantage of a bit. Aside from the illusory rings, this is one of the coolest things for me. Also, I imagine this is only possible without co-op if you crush EVERY soul you get, mainly the boss ones, which I don't care about because the Longsword is the most beautiful weapon in the game. submitted by /u/SirWeenielick [link] [comments]
