    I feel like this game just gets shit on by a lot of people for the fact it's different compared to ds1 and ds3. I agree it doesn't necessarily feel like a direct sequel but i do think its still a great game. I feel like if you play the game hoping to have it feel like a total sequel, and be exactly like ds then ur not gonna enjoy it. But if u play it as if its its own game i find it to be really good. Its fun story and a great game. The only things i didnt like was how much health u lose when hollowed, and also the adp stat and having to worry ant leveling it up. But honestly those r small problems and i think this games really good, not to even mention the dlcs.

    I had a dream where i beat darklurker

    I was fighting him and had little health left. In desperation, i used my pyromancy glove and then BOOM! I took a large chunk of his health. I followed up with few slashes of my sword and it's finally over. I finally beat darklurker!

    ...Then a few moments later i woke up and realized that it was all a dream.

    I think i'm losing my mind here. Any tips on how to defeat him? I've been struggling for a while and now my effigies is about to run out. This is my first time playing DS2 (sotfs) and i'm on NG. I'm using strength build and i've only managed to bring him down to half health before he starts to split. I've tried using pyromancy gloves +10 but it doesn't do that much damage. Should i respec?

    As someone who used to dislike Dark Souls 2, I’m so glad I gave it another shot! The DLCs are soooo good!

    Shulva's level design, Brume Tower bosses and Eleum Loyce general atmosphere are some of the best Soulsborne content I have played (and I'm into Souls games since 2014). Far from perfect I mean but damn they're such a better experience than most of the vanilla game

    So I'm a bit confused with the lore of this game my question why do they call the character you play as the bearer of the curse and they say it like he is the only one that has the curse when they mean curse they mean the undead curse right? If so wouldn't almost like everybody be a bearer of the curse like would the chosen undead in ds1 be the "bearer of the curse"? Why don't they call him that. Why do they only call your character the bearer of the curse and sorry for the bad English.

    So im running a dex faith build with the heide knight spear, and im wondering would it be better to lighting infuse it, or use sunlight blade to buff it once im able to get the miracle

    Builds to tackle the DLCs?

    SL145 Deprived; pretty much done everything I cared about in the base game, and I can afford to use a couple of Soul Vessels. I played a lot of DKS2 back then, but I've never played any of the DLCs! So, it's gonna be my first time diving into the DLCs -- not sure which one to start with though. So, in addition to having build/weapon suggestions or advice, what order should I tackle the DLCs in? Also, I've heard that enemies in the DLCs have ridiculous elemental resistances, so I'm guessing I should be more geared towards physical builds? Though, I am getting pretty bored of my Sun Sword and my Grand Lance.

    The only thing I'm sure I will want is my Sea Bow in order to snipe out areas. Will poison arrows work best for most enemies in the DLCs or is there a better option?
