| I have become grossly incandescent Posted: 16 Feb 2021 04:28 AM PST So I am replaying SOTFS, but this time on a faith run since I hadn't tried it before. I have never been crazy about faith builds, but a recent sunlight blade build in DS1 made me reconsider them. And holy fuck. I am running a character with 50 faith right now, equipped with the Defender GS+5, Lightning Rapier +10, Bow of Want +3(short on dragon items)with lightning arrows, and a lightning dragon chime +3, casting great lightning spear and sunlight blade. HOLY FUCK. Through my many playthrough of the souls series, I have never had so much fun. This build shreds through anything in PVE. I keep laying my orange sign down to help people with COOP, and we are nuking everything in our path. This build alone is slowly making DS2 SOTFS my favorite souls game. 🌞 PRAISE THE SUN 🌞 [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 16 Feb 2021 01:18 PM PST Was feeling a little nostalgic, so I picked up the first game I really got into, ds2. I was struggling to find a build I hadn't done before, but I never really tried powers stancing, or used any of the lances. So, I went for regular quality build, bonfire asceticed cardinal tower to get two grand lances. My god. These shits go crazy. Only at plus 4 and 5 respectively, but it's doing anywhere Fromm 500-800 damage if you hit em right. Anyone else got some fun build ideas?? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 16 Feb 2021 05:56 AM PST Playing SotFS for the first time after spending a good chunk on the regular version a few years ago, and wow, helping new players in Shulva is like... so fun? I don't know why, but just guiding them through the city and sanctum, showing where all the little switches and buttons are in case they don't know and all that is just... oddly satisfying. Even if I die or they die, I don't really care about Tokens or Medals. After getting platinum, I'm mostly just looking for stuff to do in the game. So yeah, just wanted to share that. Every time I start the game it starts on offline mode, and when I choose to go online I get the message "calibration acquisition is presently unavailable". I've done everything it mentions in the message. I've deleted and reinstalled the game. I've restarted my router. I have no idea what I can do next. Has any one else seen this message before? | Posted: 16 Feb 2021 01:50 AM PST Been trying to get in to DS2 a couple of time put have been put off by the different feeling in the controls and world design. Well after going through forrest of the Fallen giants and Heides tower I'm finally feeling sucked in to the game, spending my days thinking about where to go next in the game, what to level up, where to backtrack and check for missed paths... Feels awesome to have a full Dark Souls game in front of me again :D Only problem is I look like a casul still wearing my starting gear. | My computer crashed when I was summoned Posted: 16 Feb 2021 11:18 AM PST I was playing Sotfs, and used a soapstone at the first bonfire in No Man's Wharf. I got summoned, and right after we exchanged gestures, my whole computer crashed and restarted. This never happened when my brother summoned me (we've been playing co-op side by side), and I'm pretty sure my computer wasn't doing anything funny in the background, so it seems like it had to be Ds2's fault. Anyone else have this happen? Any way to avoid it in the future? I'm a total newb at DS2, so I hope this post isn't too ignorant. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Feb 2021 11:17 AM PST I've played the bejeezus out of of DS2 over the years, but never went down a Strength/Faith build path until this latest run (attempting to platinum this once and for all). Heard for years about how lightning and miracles weren't that great had been nerfed, etc . . so I stayed away from it. For post-NG runs, I also wanted to use a weapon that I hadn't used before or didn't give enough of a chance. Ran with the Large Club, Mastodon Halberd, FUGS and Giant Warrior Club for most of NG. Although I had been curious, I finally gave the Lost Sinner sword a whirl once I hit NG++. Holy mother of god, this thing just wrecks. +5 Lightning Infused, sitting at 50 ST/60 FTH, using Sunlight Blade as my main buff with Lightning Clutch and ROB+2 as main rings. Going through Brume Tower, I'm hitting for nearly 900 AR 2-handed with the buff, around 780 w/o against the armored rabble. Jump attack one shots them. I don't have any sin, so that may play into it but man, I'm impressed. Want to give this a whirl with Dark infusion next. What are the overall thoughts on this sword? Is it better with a different infusion/build type? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 16 Feb 2021 12:28 AM PST So I have a SL 151 46 Vig, 25 End, 14 Vit, 26 Adp & 40/40 Str/ Dex build and Im curious about what weapons I could use other then the ones I already have. Those being: Curved Dragon GS, Blacksteel Katana, Puzzling Stone Sword (always as off hand), Rapier, Smelter Sword, Red Iron Twinblade, Buckler for parrying otherwise no shields/ spells. I know quality builds arent the strongest but I really really like this build and I dont really care that much about min-maxing. So what weapons do you reccomend? Since the only real quality weapon I have is Curved Dragon GS (S - Dex, B - Str). Apparenly sun sword is pretty good but I dont have sunlight medals :/ so if anyone has an extra it would be apreciated [link] [comments] |

However, I've never done an Int build and have mostly done physical builds, with the exception of a Strenght/faith build one time, so I'd like to know the best stat allocation, Staff and melee weapon to use, besides the moonlight greatsword of course but I'll prolly end up using that anyways [link] [comments] |
