| I made the City of Lost Izalith in Lego! Posted: 22 Jan 2021 07:17 AM PST Hello all! I've recently embarked on a journey to make the land of Lordran entirely in Lego microscale! I've started with the lowest levels of ash lake and lost izalith, and recently finished the demon city! I really like how it turned out, and managing to fit the stairs cases in was a challenge! The city makes it easy to design as I can just place it anywhere on the lava afterward. However, the hardest part was finding the exact angles for the hinges to make the circles at the scale I'm working with. But it worked out and The opposite sides of the large circle are in exact stud lengths! Another thing I'd like feedback on is the coloring, which I'm not sure about. The actual textures in game are almost entirely grey/brown, but in game the lighting makes a lot of it appear red/tan. I do like the sand green for the roofing elements though, it seems right. I was also going for black nearest the lava to go for a "burnt" effect. I might change it to just grey and brown, but we'll see. I also need to add the tree roots at some point. Please leave your feed back! My next step is to complete the lower lava level to place the city, try and make the boss easily visible! I've left it on my wishlist and told myself when the time came I'll start at DS1 and experience it for myself. Welp tonight was the night. Got 1 and 2 off G2a for a decent price, made a character, and set off. Met the first boss. Died. Tried again. Died. Learned the bosses timings and movement but kept making small mistakes that got me killed. Assumed this first demon was the right of passage into this game. After countless deaths, my girlfriend busting my balls, and getting the demon barely to half health at 2 dmg a hit.... I finally decided to see what I was doing wrong by googling for help. To find out there is a door to the left to get a real weapon and beat the demon in a few hits... [link] [comments] |

My desire to replay Dark Souls again has been rekindled so I decided to listen to some of the soundtrack and after almost 6 years and countless playthroughs of this series, some of the music still gives me a mix of Chills, Happiness, Sadness and Nostalgia. I really don't think this series would've been the same without Yuka Kitamura she is truly an artist and I am really thankful for her work. [link] [comments] |
| How come I can't summon, because level too low? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 03:02 AM PST Hey, I'm doing another run through and I'm keeping my level low for jolly, but cannot see any summon signs (I can be summoned on occasion). I am lvl39 at Sens Iron Golem and I see no summons, but this was the same at 30 in Blighttown (although I got invaded by a total bastard before I got to the bonfire), and everywhere since the bell gargoyles. Is my level to low? I have upgraded amour but no weapons.. 😢 [link] [comments] |

I just installed Hotpocketremix's randomizer mod, but whenever I start a game my player falls through the ground into the abyss. I've tried tinkering around in DSFix but with no luck. I've tried to find help elsewhere but still can't find anything. Anyone here know how to fix this? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 22 Jan 2021 11:14 AM PST I just beat Dark Souls I for the first time... and I've heard amazing things about this game but man... nothing can compare to playing it and beating it yourself. I truly believe that this game is a masterpiece and utilizes the player being in control extraordinarily well. The DLC was amazing as well, but after dying to Gwyn a few times, and then parrying him to death I beat the game. Few games have made me feel that feeling when you complete it, and watch the credits in silence having an existential crisis, but this was sure one of them. [link] [comments] |
| Playing with a keyboard, any advice? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 01:38 AM PST I'm loving the game, it's my first time playing it. I'm playing on PC with a keyboard since I can't buy a controller right now. It gets fairly exhausting after a couple of hours since I don't feel completely comfortable playing like this, even having a relatively good configuration. I just arrived to Anor Londo and I'm resting in the last bonfire before Ornstein and Smough, I have a black knight halverd as I'm playing with a strength build and both Havle's Ring and the ring of favor and protection so I can still move easily. I'm nervous about Ornstein and Smough even being so prepared, tomorrow I will face them and hopefully I will not struggle as much as I did going through Blighttown (I have a shitty PC and I struggled a lot to find Quelaag's domain, plus I didn't had many things to cure the toxicity) [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 22 Jan 2021 05:52 PM PST Hi there, we all know the DarkSouls Trilogy Compendium by now. Sold out and now at round about 300-400$ worth. I saw a post on this subreddit almost a year ago stating that op received an email from them saying that they try to reprint the Compendium over the summer. Now we have 2021, and still no news. I saw futurepress was located in germany, and as a german I decided to give them a little phonecall. The guy answering the phone said that their currently were „no licenses allocated for a reprint", in general, he said that their is no reprint coming at the moment. But he also said he wasn't quite sure of that, and dumbass me forgot to ask him whether they scrapped the plans after the emails went put last year. I will definitely try to write an email and look what comes from it. Just wanted to give a quick info. In case anybody of you already wrote a mail during the last ~150 days, feel free to post below what they answered. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 23 Jan 2021 01:00 AM PST I've completed NG and NG+ a few times and I wanted to know about an interesting weapon combo or play strategy I should use to freshen up the experience. Preferably I'd like for the build to be PvP capable with a good Soul Level for PvP on the switch since I've found defending hosts against invaders to be very fun. I figured I'd take the Path of the Dragon, Forest Hunter, or Darkmoon Covenant. I'm willing to go Dickwraith if it means I can get some frequent PvP. [link] [comments] |
