| No man's wharf enemy placement. Posted: 28 Dec 2020 09:31 PM PST Does anyone else feel like the enemy placement is really annoying and cheap? I just got dark souls II sotfs today, I've played 6 hours so I definitely like it, but: The enemy placement. There's a torch to light, so you go light it? a few feet away out of a hole in the wall comes a tall barbarian man to cut you to shreds while you're stuck in the lighting animation. AND THE ARCHERS!! Oh my gosh, these were the most annoying things in the Universe. I had placed the pharros' lockstone, and was in that area, looking to see where to go next, all the while CONSTANTLY being attacked by those damned fire arrows. And last but not least, when I saw the bridge that I could finally kick over to make the shortcut, feeling an intense relief, ran over and began to knock it over, when... of course, a guy jumps out of the water to stab me from behind. Luckily I had enough health, but if I died from that, that would have been the actual most infuriating thing. No man's wharf was very frustrating. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 29 Dec 2020 07:48 AM PST This is my first playthrough and I didn't know about the Souls of a Giant helping with King Vendrick. I only had two (because I ate the rest) and this made the fight very difficult. My +10 Smelter Hammer with 99 strength was doing 135 damage per strong attack to his 11.5k health bar. The fight took 10 minutes of being ridiculously patient and only attacking when safe. The fight was definitely worth doing because now I have really cool armor and his King's Ultra Greatsword!! Killed the Lost Sinner with no real hassle and now it's time for the Old Iron King run but, oh wait, where's the lady with the ring that lets you into Huntsman Copse. In my moment of pride after killing Dragon Rider without getting hit, I decided "I cAn KiLl HeR, nO pRoBlEm" but forgot about her infinite health and one-shoting wrath of the gods so I ran away. Now I can't find her so I can't get to Huntsmans Copse. Do I have to start again or can I get the ring from elsewhere? [link] [comments] |

| Beat Elana hitless! But... not really. Posted: 29 Dec 2020 12:34 PM PST Elana has a pretty lengthy opening animation, and an equally long summoning one, where neither she nor her summon can do anything to you. What you may not know is that she automatically summons once you get her down to a certain amount of health, around half is what I've seen. So, you can force her to go from her opening animation straight to the summoning animation, if you can get her health down fast enough. You can probably kill her before she or her summons can even start an attack, although I didn't quite manage that. What I did was smack her with a dagger with the ring of blades +2, flynn's ring, red tearstone ring, sunlight blade, sacred oath, and the channeler's trident buff all stacked at once. Then I proceeded to get smacked during the remaining 10% of her health for about an hour before I remembered how to dodge, and there you go, a pretty easy "hitless" fight in the bag. | Hello! I have just started Dark Souls 2! Posted: 29 Dec 2020 12:22 PM PST After a 1 month longs work of beating Dark Souls 1, I wanted to play the sequel. I've heard it was not as great as the original or the third one but I wanted to try it. First things first, this is MUCH harder than I expected. The level layout is quite confusing and tricked me quite a bit in Majula whereas Firelink Shrine was way better. The enemies are more tough to beat and the death penalty is not the greatest. On the plus side, the graphics are AMAZING. I haven't reached the first boss yet and some good weapon locations are appreciated! [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 29 Dec 2020 08:08 AM PST So in Heide's tower (SOTFS) there is are old knights with a sword and shield. I'm playing as cleric and it takes me two handing my mace, heavy light then light again and it sometimes kills them. Other times it hits for less damages s I end up having to do heavy light light then light again. Anyone have a reason? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 29 Dec 2020 12:37 PM PST So I was farming sunlight medals at bright stone cove by killing the 2 falconers and then resetting them at the bonfire. After like 30m I stopped getting falconer armour and their weapons, the only drop I ever got after that where sunlight medals. Like I stopped getting their armour and sword at around 9 medals and for the next 21, the only drop I got where the medals? Do they stop dropping their armour after having a certain amount in your inventory? [link] [comments] |

Why is vendrick in that little room roaming around mindlessly? Is it because he lost his mind due to becoming a hollow? And why is Queen nashandra final boss who is she and why does she look like a reaper? Also in wiki it says that aldia is the brother of vendrick , did I miss that information in-game or it was nonexistent? And why is he called scholar of the first sin? | Raw or Lightning Blue Moon Greatsword on a cleric Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:52 AM PST Considering a run as a FTH cleric using the Blue Moon Greatsword and I don't know whether it would be better to infuse with Raw for the physical damage or Lightning because that damage type is so strong and because I can eventually buff with sunlight blade. Would Raw maybe be better before Shrine of Amana/Undead Crypt, i.e. before Sunlight Blade buff? And then change to lightning after that? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:39 AM PST Three times in a row now every time i enter the fog gate and he comes out of the groun holdin his two swords, he immediately just throw hos straight sword aside and says "Fuck you" and does his stupid fireball aoe attack. Is there a reason he's doin this? the other times i was fightin him he always changed into second stage around the time he was at 50% hp or a lil more Edit: Beat him fourth try, kinda liked that he was in his second stage the whole time. So basically every bonfire after the door with the rock girl crashes the game when I rest on them, and if I try to load the game with the character I was playing the game just won't load at all. I have never seen anyone talk about this glitch before, maybe someone here knows what the issue is? I really need help [link] [comments] |
