My girlfriend got me the Ring of Favor and Protection for my birthday!

Here it is side by side with the game image:

It's pretty accurate! It's sterling silver and arrived shiny and new, but I rubbed it with hard boiled egg whites to give it a nearly instant patina to match the aged look in the game.

2 complete sets of Armor + Shield + Sword + souls + ring + other consumables. Plus and Exclusive weapon to people that pre-order the game.

At least to me, this does not belong in a souls game.

Whats infusing and what’s the best option for the Zwei?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 12:24 AM PDT

Ok so I use to play Dark Souls when it first came out back in my Xbox 360 days. I really loved it, but I was so god awful at it and never delved too much into chaos infusing and stuff. Just raw weapons.

Fast forward to this year, I got into sword fighting irl and started practicing with a Zweihander (those bitches are awkward to handle at times) and I flipped when I found out you can get it in Dark Souls. So I bought the remaster for ps4 and started playing again.

I finally got it and have the MINIMUM requirements to wield the thing. Now what? I really want a build that has a lot of endurance and vitality that can really pack a punch while remaining stoic against opponent blows. (Ig you can say a Jack of all type of deal)

I have no clue about any infusing or how to upgrade this weapon.

Is it just me or do arrows curve slightly to the right as well as down?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 10:02 PM PDT

I started a hunter build just to see what's up and I find the crosshair is actually not useful because you need to account for it constantly drifting right or is there just wind

I can’t get past the Hydra in Darkroot Basin

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 03:27 AM PDT

Seriously, I have been trying for ages to slay that 7 headed beast for a very long time. But no matter what strategy I integrate into my combat, I can never emerge victorious. And I really want that dragon scale to upgrade my Drake Sword. Can anyone here be a word of advice? Thanks

Killing Oscar vs Letting him talk for Speedruns

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 11:28 PM PDT

So I've been watching a few DkS speedruns and I noticed that everyone exhausts Oscars dialogue rather than killing him. I just wanted to see if someone can confirm that exhausting his dialogue is faster than killing him and picking up the loot off his dead corpse, and if so what's the difference in time?

    Mistakes were made

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 03:29 PM PDT

    Noob story time!

I was exploring the Undead Parish and had cleared out the second floor of the church. At this point, I had no more flasks and half health, but I kept exploring anyway.

Unfortunately, I was having network issues, so there were no helpful community warnings...and I walked into the Gargoyle fight. I managed to get both down to almost no health, and then got greedy....you can guess what happened next.

I went back, got my souls, and revenge! It was an incredible high! I know I'm not good at the game yet, but I am loving every moment of it.

    Dark souls npcs

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 09:32 PM PDT

I've always wondered how dark souls manages to make memorable and fleshed our characters even though you only get a few lines of dialogue at certain places. So I'm curious if your thoughts how do you think they make characters like siegmeyer, solaire, lucatiel, etc memorable as they are?

There are so many possible second bosses

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 09:12 PM PDT

I was thinking about all the possible options you have for the second boss you fight. The first boss will obviously always be asylum demon but there's a huge number of possibilities for the second boss. Let me know which ones I miss.
Quelaag, Taurus Demon, Capra Demon, Gargoyles, Moonlight butterfly, Sif, pinwheel, stray demon, gaping dragon...

Why dark root harden is the second best area behind anor londo

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 10:11 PM PDT

I really love the entire area of dark root harden because no other area feels quite as varied, full, and unique as it. You start by seeing this giant glowing door and you pay Andre because you obviously want to know what is behind it. You then get destroyed by the npc enemies because you didn't know they were there and trigger them all at once. After though you finally manage to get through them all you find this creepy looking cat and join it's covenant and find they don't attack you anymore. If you go straight from the door there are Some of the basic grass people thing enemies. You can get stone armor which becomes even cooler when you see the knights that wielded them here and especially the ones in the dlc. There is then a triple mini boss of these cat creatures that you can just manage to defeat. After this you have puddles full of chests that have these mushroom people and you notice the little things and wonder why they aren't hostile but then you see the daddy mushrooms and you instantly know they can probably one shot you based off how tough they look and their bloody fists. The whole thing is topped of with the sif battle which is decent and seeing artorias's grave. This whole area is even better when you find out it is one of the pvp hotspots so when you find someone who isn't a backstab spamming loser you can have fun. This whole area just feels so dense with content and a nice unique feel plus you can see the hydra in dark root basin which looks ten times more intimidating from up here.

    Dark souls quick save

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 06:52 PM PDT

Ok so I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate and backlash for this, but here goes.

Why is it considered an absolute cardinal sin if someone uses a quicksave cheat in Dark Souls? I get that it is technically cheating the game but if they're just playing single player then why do people care so much? It could still be a very fun game with a save option in my opinion. It wouldn't be nearly as challenging but I still think it could be a very fun experience. I mean is there seriously no one that has ever wanted to do just a casual dark souls run without constantly being on edge?

Anyways, thats my rant. I promise I'm not trying to make anyone angry posting this. I'd honestly just love to hear everyones opinion on the matter. ✌👌

    Thanks for the feedback 👍
