You may remember me from about a year ago when I posted that I got a no hit run with the Straight Sword Hilt in DS1. Well I'm back, and I have just completed the same run, but this time it was All Bosses including the DLC. | Hardest Thing I’ve Done in Dark Souls (So Far) [SPOILERS, Obviously] Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:14 PM PDT Meant to post this when I got it, but completely forgot (typical Barker) but I recently completed all 26 bosses in Dark Souls: Remastered at SL1, in NG+6, flawless, without rolling, blocking, parrying, or using the Red Tearstone Ring. Hours of fine tuning and grinding later, it was all worth it in the end. O&S, Sif, Capra Demon (I know, what a meme), Four Kings, Artorias, Manus, and Kalameet (especially Manus. My god, I got him within a few hits of death so many times and made simple mistakes) had me wanting to bang my head on my desk and just quit, but I held out long enough to make it to Gwyn. I get super intimidated by the games because I panic super hard and end up just giving up. One of my friends found out that I owned Bloodborne but hadn't properly played and it really brought our friendship back and he helped me through my first PT of Bloodborne. I then played DS3 which was so different from Bloodborne but became obsessed with playing it (still to defeat midir though which I don't see happening anytime soon.) My friend then bought me DS2 which I got half way through before he kinda disappeared on me and we didn't speak properly for nearly a year and half. Over the last week we started talking more and he asked if I bought DS remastered which i did, but didn't get that far. He's been helping me through the game the last two days (yeah I know, I suck) but about twenty minutes ago, I just got the cut scene to take me to Anor Londo (which in DS3 became my favourite area) and I got super emotional. The soulsborne games always remind me of my friend and the many hours we've spent yelling on mic, laughing at my dumbass fails and really learning about the games that frightened me to play. I have no one else to really share my feelings, so posting here seemed like a nice idea. No matter how you complete the game, the experience has always felt amazing and I can't wait to replay on my own. [link] [comments] |

| Found a reliable way to get up the Hydra's ladder in Darkroot Basin early. Posted: 27 Jul 2020 03:00 PM PDT I wanted to start a run with the Claw weapons that Shiva sells after you join the forest covenant, and wanted to get access without having to farm the 20k souls for the door key. The problem I had is the hydra wouldn't let me climb its ladder, especially at lvl 1. After a bit of experimentation, I discovered that if you grab the Rusted Iron Ring early you can reliably cheese the hydra's attack patterns. Equip the ring and stand in the lake front of the waterfall by the ladder. As soon as the hydra fires a volley, check to see if any will hit the ladder, and if not run to the ladder and climb fast. The volley of water the hydra shoots takes so long to get to you that you should be safe by the time the hydra refires and you should be able to get to the top safely. Also after you join the covenant of the forest, talk to shiva, or he won't appear at blight town to sell you stuff:/ Alright that's all, I just wanted to document this on the internet somewhere. | Invasion level glitch possible? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 01:45 AM PDT Has anyone ever invaded outside of the matchmaking rules, or is that something that cannot ever happen? Had a strange one last night - putting a character up to Lvl 120, max wpn lvl, not played there for ages so I got the red eye orb out just to see if there was random activity at sunlight altar. Invaded a guy who is wearing starter level armour, the drake sword, and has been poisoned by the rats?! But he takes a couple of pokes with Velka's +5 and 2 black flame (+800) and dies (so chunky enough). Messages me some hate about ruining his game - I don't normally get involved with this but I had to ask, how is this 'ruining' his game, an end game 1v1 near a bonfire? Says he was just about to kick down the ladder shortcut to the burgh and now he's back at firelink and I've spoiled it all. OK, sry about that - he didn't say anything else but how TF do you get to Lvl 108 minimum, and a +9 wpn in the Burgh and the Parish without opening the ladder shortcut? This was on XBox so you wouldn't expect elaborate cheat engines AFAIK. [link] [comments] |

The magic of the exploration, world design and difficulty are literally perfection. I enjoy other games of course but anytime I put on an action game or semi open world game, dam even a full open world game, they all just bore me to death as I feel like I have seen all the game has to offer about a handful of hours. I haven't played it because I've heard from a lot of people that the game doesn't give as much of the Dark souls feel. My friend recently played it and suggested I give it a chance.
