Is it normal for enemies to not respawn after a certain number of times killing them in an area? Posted: 19 May 2020 08:30 AM PDT New player here. I've been going through No-Man's Warf and slowly I've noticed that some enemies have stopped spawning where they normally would. Is this an in game function or just a glitch? Thanks! After 115 hours of playing, at SL 248, i finally did it... Posted: 18 May 2020 08:46 PM PDT ...I finally managed to find the Heide's Ruin bonfire! No, for real, right after finishing with all 41 bosses (Lud and Zallen can go f*ck themselves three times over, i'm not doing that sh!t again) and about to start NG+ i was just looking through the bonfire list to try and remember at least the hidden ones, and while doing so i noticed i was missing one, in HToF of all things, so i went there and i kid you not, spent about 30 minutes fiddling with levers, driving Old Knights to extinction, and basically just dicking around while trying to find the thing, i, then, like the dumb stupid idiot i am, get hit by the Old Knight at the beginning and almost get throw off the platform and then at my right i notice the stone staircase going down and there it is, and after noticing how ridiculously close it was to the entrance i felt like the stupidest being in existence, so yeah, i really missed that one by a REALLY long shot didn't i Oh and also started NG+ right after and ended up dying instantly to the new Falconers in Things Betwixt cause i wasn't paying attention, thank you Dark Souls EDIT: Words [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 May 2020 12:39 PM PDT Dimtry says hi. You placed your sign all the way at the beginning of the Shrine of Amana, and helped me through the whole thing in one take. You brought heals, ranged magic, and just general good vibes. I don't normally summon allies, but seeing your sign 2 bonfires away from the Demon of Song told me you really mean buisness. I'm so glad I brought you into my world. At the fog gate, I thought for a little about something I could drop you as thanks, but I didn't have anything worth anything. I hope the token of fidelity, and my gratitude, are reward enough. I had forgotten Jolly Cooperation could be so fun [link] [comments] |
This game has some Great memes Posted: 19 May 2020 10:16 AM PDT We've got classics like Dont give up skeleton and Bear seek seek lest, but so many others too. Happy souls jokes, Horse, Dragonrider cheese, Bell keeper fuckboys, burning the windmill, anvil on a stick, the majula death cult, ladle runs, naked swordless invaders, power stanced smelters, horsefuck valley, etc etc. [link] [comments] |

I just finished my first playthrough Posted: 19 May 2020 07:29 AM PDT I just wanted to say, the ending music is for me personally on par with the Secret Betrayal and Great Grey Wolf Sif soundtracks when it comes to pure feels. I do not cry. Period. But this damn thing sure as hell made me close to crying. I haven't felt like this since I first heard the two soundtracks listed above. It feels like a final farewell, complete with good wishes and kind words... Like I've been gifted with something not a lot of people get to experience; even though I know a bunch of people played and finished this game. I... I think I'm in love. Fuck everyone who shits on DS2, this game made me fall in love with Dark Souls AGAIN. This is all, I just felt the need to share my thoughts on this amazing, amazing end of this brilliant game. I finished the game without knowing it Posted: 19 May 2020 07:35 AM PDT I was playing normaly trying to beat the 2 guard of the throne ,When I finally killed them a strange woman came in the Boss room , So I beat the shit out of her ,Normal ,nothing strange then the cinematic launch of the golems going to (what K thought in that moment ) make a bridge to go a another area ,But no the game credit launch ! My dumb face when I understand what I have done 0.o ! The "last" Boss was desapointing ,more than Gwyns , Because You can explain the weakness of Gwyn but I still dont understand why it was so "easy" (I think lucky as hell wich never happen normally ) *Now I can official Say that I have Finish all of dark souls game *(and sekiro) And remenber ,Don't go Hollow [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 May 2020 12:24 PM PDT Is it me or this is the only cutscene in the whole game apart from the beginning and ending cutscenes, and boss battle intro? Never finished Crown of the Ivory King so there could be some in there, but it seems to me the Gilligan placing his ladder animation is like one of a kind because someone really wanted to put at least one. Posted: 19 May 2020 03:00 PM PDT I beat the original DS2 and really wasnt a fan. Ive beaten ds1 and ds3 5+ times and love those games. Last year i played SOTFS but i know i didnt see all the areas or do the dlc for that matter. It was better than the original but still idk how i feel. My last SOTFS run is in majula on NG+ and i wanted to try NG+ as people have said its really good on this game. My questions are as follows: I specced into hex mage in the first run. Could i level up all my melee stats during this NG+ run without too much difficulty or should i keep increasing my magic? What tips can you offer to make sure i see all areas and do all bosses this time around? Thanks in advance. TLDR: is a mage to melee transition doable in ng+? And what tips to make sure i see all areas and bosses? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 May 2020 03:00 PM PDT So I have a lightning bow and I have my lightning bonus damage at 102 does the 102 always add to the damage the bow does itself? [link] [comments] |
I made a huge mistake when I first got this game Posted: 19 May 2020 02:55 PM PDT So I bought this game when it was on sale for $10 on Steam a few weeks ago, and, having already almost beat both 1 and 3, thought Id have a pretty chill time in the starting areas. This led me to choosing a Deprived as my starting class. But it only gets worse from here, see, when I first got to Majula and was exploring around, I found the Victor's Stone. Thinking that this was sort of like Petrus from DS1, I immediately took my level one character and entered the Covenant on my 1st playthru. This didnt work out very well as it meant that every enemy killed me in 2 hits, and I didnt have the damage to kill them fast. I ended up going the path of the +3 Flame Longsword, as that was the best damage for my shitty stats, and eventually got as far as the pursuer before I decided to try a Sorcerer. After doing the run through Majula again, I found the Estus Shard in the well, and, thinking I might have missed more despite searching the entire place top to bottom, I went to the Wiki and promptly facepalmed. Im now at the Lost Bastille and having a grand time lasering my foes. [link] [comments] |
Fastest path from the beginning of the game to the Rotten? Posted: 19 May 2020 02:43 PM PDT I'm getting ready to do my second ever playthrough of this game. My original playthrough was almost a year ago, and it's time to go back. Last time I did a strength build, for this character I'm planning on doing a hex build, with the crypt blacksword as my main melee weapon. With this I am trying to see if anyone knows what the fastest path to the rotten would be. Along with this, what's the fastest way I can get my hands on a bonfire ascetic? [link] [comments] |

I'm currently playing a Bane build. It's awesome. I fully recommend a roleplay build/play through. Posted: 19 May 2020 02:18 PM PDT Nice big trousers, the best mask for it (Lost Sinner due to the headstraps) and some nice gauntlets. Pure dual caestus with the two punch combo. Currently getting ready to being reckoning to Black Gulch. You merely adopted the Dark Souls. I did not see the Sunlight Covenant until I was already a man. [link] [comments] |
Belfry Gargoyles NPC Got Stuck... Posted: 19 May 2020 02:18 PM PDT This is my second time running through, and I hate this boss so I decided to summon the NPC to get this over with. I walk into the boss arena and start wailing on the first gargoyle, and the second one smacks me around a bit. After a while the third one jumps in and I start sweating because the NPC hasn't entered yet. I figure if I kill one he'll come in. I do so, and nothing happens except another gargoyle wakes up! At this point I realize that I've been left for dead. I decide to fight fate and take them on solo. Fuck you Masterless Glencour, you absolute bastard. I'll drown you in the pool of gargoyle blood I left behind after surviving that boss battle. Has anything like this happened to you before? [link] [comments] |
I'm trying dumb builds and I need YOUR help! Posted: 19 May 2020 02:15 PM PDT Mainly, by using a bunch of Skeptic and Simpleton spice, I used to infuse my Lightning Greatsword with Dark and for some reason, despite relatively low int and faith, I did some really good damage, so for now I had the idea that, if someone was willing to drop me a shit tonne of above mentioned Spice items, I would do stupid stuff like Dark Greatsword + Sunlight Blade in left hand or Lightning Greatsword with Resonant Weapon in right hand. I also had the idea to combine those, but then remembered that un-equipping the weapon removes the buff... I'm also open for more bullshit ideas, because while I JUST got the game I'm already exploring all the dumb stuff I can get away with (not the too OP stuff though. I am scared of the Dark Red Rusted Twinblade +10 in my inventory...) [link] [comments] |
Let's workshop some sunlight blade buff ideas! Posted: 19 May 2020 02:13 PM PDT Hey everyone, I was hoping we could have a meeting of the minds about some weapon buff ideas! I was looking to build a sunlight blade buffing character and I've done quite a bit of research about how exactly the damage breakdown works, and even after all of the research there seems to be some inconsistencies/ confusion about what certain things scale on. Such as: what is optimal for max damage, what attributes affect certain aspects of the miracle, and where the catalyst comes into play. Let me clarify first by laying out what I want to do. I don't want to dump a bunch of points into faith and then lightning infuse my weapon. It just seems to pale in comparison to most 40/str 40/dex un-infused weapons with resins, and generally hitting multiple resistances feels preeeetty weak in this title. However, being able to ADD more damage without sacrificing your scalings feels pretty strong! So I want to just cast sunlight blade with absolute MINIMUM points invested into the actual faith side of things. Of course dumping 40~50 points into faith and using Dragon Chime +10 Lightning infused on an innate or lightning infused weapon is going to do big pee-pee damage, so, can I just used 10 faith and spice + priests chime and still be okay? So let's start by laying out what we know: 1) The wiki has piss-poor information about the mechanics of the miracle What I would like to know is: 1)Can you Skeptic's Spice the spell down to 10 and just cast it on an un-infused weapon and roll with the spicy +50 flat Lightning, or would that tank the spells effect duration? The reason I ask is because people seem to be unsure if spice affects the spells duration. There are some posts online saying the only thing this miracle scales with faith on (excluding, of course, innate or infused lightning) is the spells length. Would love a confirmation on that. 2) Where does the Catalyst come into play with this miracle? Do you need the Dragon Chime +10 Lightning infused? Does infusion on the catalyst have ANYTHING to do with weapon buffs? There isn't a SINGLE stat on any catalyst beyond the scaling and the actual bonus to an element that points towards effectiveness. If you made it this far, thanks so much for going down this rabbit hole with me and my neurotic brain! TL;DR Can I spice Sunlight blade down to 10 and use an uninfused chime, or is that rat shit? 2 questions regarding end game (SPOILERS, PLEASE OMIT IF YOU DON'T WANT STUFF SPOILED) Posted: 19 May 2020 09:51 AM PDT I'm gonna lower the proper text a bit so that you can still avoid spoilers.

Ring of Whispers and Bonfire Travel Menu Posted: 19 May 2020 10:24 AM PDT No idea if this has been brought up before, I'm at the Majula bonfire wearing the Ring of Whispers and I'm hearing growls when selecting (but not confirming) the Shulva bonfires. No growls when the bonfire menu is exited in Majula. Bug? [link] [comments] |
