Those fu.... goddam' archers on the balcony in Anor Londo!!! Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:48 AM PDT Alright, I'm really pissed now, I know I'm probably not doing exactly the right thing to get past those two motherfuckers along with those open-brain shit vampire birds, but seriously. They're annoying!!!!!! Every single time I step on that edge off that long narrow walkway they just smash me off with an arrow the size of my character. God, it's probably one the most butthurts moments in the game. Even that tomb of giants with those spiky deadwheels wasn't that bad. Fuck, I hope I'm not the only one miserable in this shit, right guys? hehe [link] [comments] |
I just beat Ornstein and Smough! Posted: 12 Apr 2020 02:56 AM PDT Wow! what a boss fight, probably one of my favorite boss fights, it's a really big adrenaline rush while fighting them. Hands shaking, Heart pounding. efeating them is such a gratifying feeling. Its is truly a rewarding fight. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:04 AM PDT She is 12, already killed Nito 3 lord souls and DLC missing atm. She has to draw a picture after killing boss :D [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:02 PM PDT I'm glad to inform you that after 7 hours I have successfully made the legend himself, Giantdad. I started playing this on Switch when the remaster came out. So glad i can say that i have achieved this major feat. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:54 AM PDT So I'm farming for white titanite slab for 3 and a half hours now and this happens ... ps: I got killed by the little skeletons while I was taking the picture, I wanna kms [link] [comments] |
What have I gotten myself into Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:04 AM PDT Recently I challenged the official dark souls twitter saying that I would beat any boss soul level 1 with nothing but my fist is this a good idea. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 11 Apr 2020 11:58 PM PDT Let's say Dark Souls 4 is coming out and we get to design and create it. Taking elements from every soulsborne game, what would make up the perfect dark souls game? Here is mine:
What else would make up the perfect dark souls game? [link] [comments] |
Basilisk. Who else i creeped out? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 09:44 AM PDT Am i the only here like creeped out by Basilisks? I shouted "What the hell is that?!" On my first encounter. Why the heck do they have big eyes?! [link] [comments] |
Was it Gwyn who banished the firstborn? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:38 AM PDT The description of Sunlight Blade reads: When the eldest son was stripped of his deific status, he left this on his father's coffin, perhaps as a final farewell. It does seem like Gwyn already died (or at least had his coffin built) at the time the firstborn got exiled. But then I thought some accuracy might have been lost through translation so I looked up the original text in Japanese: 空っぽの大王の棺に備えられたそれは 神を追われた彼の、別れの言葉だったろうか Literal translation: This (miracle) which was left on the great lord's empty coffin, was perhaps a farewell from him who was stripped of his deific status. "空っぽ" - empty. The coffin was empty, which could suggest the coffin was built before Gwyn died, but it's more likely referring to Gwyn sacrificing himself to linking the first flame and therefore his body isn't actually inside the coffin. "神を追われた彼" - Him who was stripped of his deific status. Unlike in the English translation there's nothing specifically hinting towards the chronic order of the events, it could be the firstborn left the miracle when he got exiled by someone else, or he came back after Gwyn linked the first flame to pay his respect as a son, long after the banishment. Personally I'm leaning towards the latter possibility since I can't think of anyone else other than Gwyn having the power to do such thing. The firstborn being the eldest was likely heir of the throne which means if he was still around after Gwyn's death, he would probably be in the same position as Gwyn once was, possessing great amount of power and influence above any other deity. Let me know what you think. [link] [comments] |
I just beat O and S at soul level 1! Posted: 11 Apr 2020 10:12 PM PDT I have been trying for days, so I decided to go back and upgrade my weapon. Then I used power within. I am so happy. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1I4iASq7NHlm-686ZHxXpsrJNOL6S99y2 [link] [comments] |

Ceaseless Discharge Death Glitch Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:00 AM PDT Hey guys! So I'm playing NG+ and just made it to ceaseless discharge. Do you guys know of his "death glitch"? It happened by accident my first playthough and thought I would see it it worked again, and it did! What I did was as soon as the fight starts, I run back to the fog gate and turn around. He slams his fist down in front of you, then hit his fist a could times and the rest of his Health just disappears and he dies lol. Was just wandering if any of you guys have had this happen to you. Don't go hollow friends! [link] [comments] |
Just beat Gwyn. Now I don’t know what to do. Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:08 AM PDT So, after about four months, I finally got to the end of the game and defeated Gwyn, but I don't feel happy about it. Instead, I feel … hollow. This game had such an impact on me. More than any other game (except Metal Gear Solid 3), and I it was so amazing. Also, I wanted to thank Reddit for helping me when I wanted to give up on the game or didn't know what to do. This subreddit is great. Overall, I just wanted to say how much I love this game and this community. Looking forward to Dark Souls 2. I began it a while ago. It's not as good, but I just need something to fill this hole in me. Edit: I found out you can parry Gwyn … someone please kill me … [link] [comments] |
Is it worth it to farm the enemies on the bridge that the dragon kills? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 06:17 AM PDT I'm sorry I'm not more specific but I don't know the names. There's a bridge with about 5 enemies and a dragon that breathes fire and kills them, I get 555 souls every time and it takes less than a minute for me to get there from the bonfire. Would it be worth it to farm here? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 07:52 PM PDT Took me 7 tries. (Compared to 30 for Havel last week) I did it! First play through and I love it [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 04:30 PM PDT I'm working my way toward platinum. On my first time around, I had Solaire as my buddy and went through Gwyn like a rock through a wet paper towel. On my second time through, I didn't do the Solaire line and have to face Gwyn solo. I was doing a fair amount of parrying in the early game, but my mostly magic build didn't use it a whole lot when I got fairly powered up. From the first time I played, I remember that Gwyn wasn't too hard when you got the parrying down, so I figured I could take him. Boy, was I wrong. I spent my game playing time for three late night sessions trying to get a single hit on Gwyn. Nothing. I burned 15 humanity looking for co-op help. Nothing. My eyes are bleeding from doing that run-up, dodging every knight. Last night, I resolved I was going to get that parry thing down. Two solid hours, and I can't get it down once. Run to Gwyn. Die in one hit. Repeat. Run to Gwyn. Fall off ledge. Rage. Repeat. I find a YouTube video that slows it down, still can't do it. I spend five straight runs just trying to look at his patterns. And all this time, I am getting pissed because I can't even parry the black knights on the way to Gwyn. After two hours of this, I resolve to try and get a single parry on a black knight. After dying five or six more times to the first idiot - that first, simplest jackass - it finally dawns on me to check which button I'm pushing to parry. On PS4, apparently L1 is not it. Oops. I am bad at this. Eyes red and anger flaring, I make the run to Gwyn again, using the correct button I immediately parry his opening attack. I die a minute later, but I die with the relief that I can finally wrap this up. Tonight, I will finally get past Gwyn. Properly. Other things to note:

[Question] I need help with Firelink Shrine Posted: 11 Apr 2020 07:10 AM PDT Hi. I started playing Dark souls recently, i defeated the first boss quite easily, then a giant crow brought me to Firelink Shrine and... After this I got stuck If I go to the graveyard skeletons keep making me bleed, which i don't quite understand what's happening. If I go down some ghosts kill me and I can't damage them. If I go up stairs there's a locked door which makes me think I'm not supposed to go there just yet. What exactly am I supposed to do? Sorry if this is a dumb question. It's probably something obvious I'm missing. [link] [comments] |
Does anybody else use Karmic Justice? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:54 AM PDT I just jumped back on my old Karmic Justice invader, and forget how enjoyable it is. Though I never see anybody else use it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:41 AM PDT So I was sl33 and in the Forest as a Forest Hunter and I invaded this strong dude that keeps killing me so I strip and play fisticuffs with him and he also went to fight me with his fists and after so time some Forest Hunter comes in and trys to kill him so I just mess around till the other Forest hunter gets killed and the host who I am supposed to kill gives me dark and gold tracers, all three clubs types, the demons great hammer, a darkhand, two tin crystallized catalyst and to shields all +15 and Havel's armor then he jumps off the cliff and gives me enough souls to get to sl78! So should I restart? And I don't have any dlc aswell [link] [comments] |

Is it wrong to tell Laurentius about the Fair Lady? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 08:33 PM PDT So by far Laurentius is one of my favorite NPCs in this game. And I was wondering recently about whether or not you should tell him about chaos pyromancy, the Fair Lady and Quelana. I mean, yes I know it saves his life.. but I you didn't know about his story that would just make you really greedy keeping the information to yourself. If you do tell him though he dies a horrible painful death and goes hollow, which then causes him to experience another horrible painful death at your hands. He is just so friendly and helpful to pyromancer builds and I can't make up my mind about this. It's on nearly the same level as Solaires story. You either cause him to be depressed or you end up accidentally killing him. I love this game but hate it for giving me moral crises. [link] [comments] |
Don't kill me for asking.. but what are some games with depth and atmosphere like Dark Souls 1? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 04:01 AM PDT It's a question that's been asked a hundred times. But even after reading the replies to all hundred questions I haven't found a satisfying answer. I'm looking for something very specific, so just hear me out please. To further elucidate what I want - I loathe Dark Souls 3 and got bored of Sekiro. But I would do anything to have a PC good enough to emulate Demon's Souls and would love to try Bloodborne as well. I'm not seeking souls-likes. A game like Resident Evil 3 (original) might fit the bill here. Having said that, I really liked Salt and Sanctuary and Hollow Knight. My three key criteria are:
Mods, let this stay up please. Others, please give me your wildest recommendations. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
