I just first tried Ornstein and Smough and I can't believe it. My hands are so sweaty.

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 05:03 PM PST

    Is that the right flair?

That Black Knight Greatsword is so OP. My heart was racing the entire battle, at many points I was sure I was gonna die, but I still managed to not panic too much. I knew beforehand that this was one of the most difficult fights in the entire game, and a big wall amongst the community, but I can't believe I did it first try. I died more times to the Taurus Demon and Iron Golem smh. I'm still kinda shaky. This game has a magic way to make me love it and hate it at the same time

Finally i started to play Dark Souls

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 04:51 AM PST

I want to share something with you guys.

A friend has been asking me for years to play Dark souls, and i always declined this, The reason was i played Demon Souls on the Ps3 and even before fighting the Second boss i did quit because of World of Warcraft.

After years of playing World of Warcraft and other games, i always felt that i wanted another game, you know a game with more difficulty and where i can be a character what i created and invest in armor weapons and stats.

Well than i did remember Dark Souls, i and now finally i did try it out, and can someone just slap me for not trying it out sooner ? !!! The game has that certain feeling and its not all rainbows and paladin sunshine lights but it makes you feel on edge and it feels so rewarding.

I know nothing of the game, and i try to keep it this way so i can enjoy most of the Dark Souls series, but i have a question. When and why did you start Dark souls, just curiosity or do you like me have a different reason for starting a Game like this ?

Also for those interested ask me for my Youtube if you want to join me on my adventure.

Does dark souls get better and which game is best?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 09:11 PM PST

I just started playing DS1 remastered and I love it. I never played a souls-esk game before and then I found Star Wars Jedi fallen order and I felt there was enough of a closeness to this franchise that allowed me to test the water a bit. Huge difference in terms of difficulty but I love it. I see the 2nd and 3rd game are on sale on Xbox and I want to make the investment for the other two games but want to make sure they are still good. What's the consensus of all 3 games and their general fun factor?

Proud to say I beat Artorias first time, on my first battle

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 12:26 AM PST

It maybe silly to say but 8 years after DS releasing I've finally gotten round to playing the DLC and so facing the great knight Artorias. I just fought him just before writing this post and I'm pretty proud of myself, I've struggled readjusting to the mechanics of 1 after playing 3 for hundreds of hours but damn this is a sense of accomplishment I've not had before, beating a boss I'd never faced. I'm throughly looking forward to Kalameet and Manus but damn I'm so giddy lol

Hardest Boss/Bosses In Each Dark Souls

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 12:47 AM PST

After playing through DS1, DS2 and DS3 multiple times, here are the toughest bosses in my opinion, would love to hear your thoughts and who made you rage the most.

    DS1 - Manus/Kalameet

    DS2 - Fume Knight

    DS3 - Darkeater Midir

I'm currently working on my first play-through of Dark Souls and for some reason I managed to first-try Capra? Wanted to share my experience of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYQmpDAHas4

I'm also slowly falling into a deep love with this game and I'm excited to start hanging out here :) Hope you all are having a good week!

Playing online for the first time

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 01:55 AM PST

Here I go again. Started a new playthrough on a whim, only this time with an xbox live account (I play on 360). I've beaten the game multiple times, but only ever offline. I'm stoked, but confused. What's with the bloodstains? I touch them and I can see another player for a second, but can't interact with them. I got the white soapstone from Solaire, but I'm not even sure what I'm doing leaving a summon sign somewhere. I assume other players can use it to summon me to their game. Is there still an online community on 360? Can someone explain to me how this stuff works?

Move Over GiantDad, GiantMom Is the New Meta.

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 11:43 PM PST

The GiantDad build is a Legend. Rightfully so, but by embracing the build's maternal side the overall stats can be improved with nearly the same equipment at the same level.

I do realize I'm making a small variation on a 7+ year old PvP meme build, but if you're going to Min-Max, might as well go all the way. (There is a much higher than 0% possibility this is well known, but I haven't seen it elsewhere so I'm going for it.)

Basically, everything is the same as GiantDad except the Mask of the Father is swapped for Mask of the Mother, and 6 points are moved from Vitality to Endurance. The MotM bonus to health is better than the MotF bonus to stamina, so by investing more into endurance you can get both better defenses and more HP for the same number of levels.

    SL 99 Bandit

    Vit: 42

    Att: 12

    End: 72

    Str: 16

    Dex: 10

    R1: Lightning Zweihander

    R2: Pyromancy Flame +15

    L1: Grass Crest Shield

    Armor:

    Mask of the Mother

    Giant Armor

    Giant Gauntlets

    Giant Leggings

    Rings:

    Havel's Ring

    Ring of Favor and Protection

    Spells:

    Black Flame(x2)

At level 99, all the stats are the same except for:

    HP which is now 1803 instead of 1768;

Equip load is 201.6 rather than 200.3

Physical Def is 128 compared to 125; Magic, Lighting, and Flame Def are all 2 points higher

Bleed Resist is 4 points higher

    NEGATIVES:

You are no longer a Legend, and, thus, it is possible for you to die.

EDIT: You are no longer wearing the best looking mask in the game, so the build is less viable in the Fashion Souls meta.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

P.S. I only have a lightning Zweihander mainly because I find it more useful in PvE, and it differentiates the build slightly from GiantDad. Also, at +15 Lightning Zweihander's 2H strong attack one-shots Anor Londo silver knights on NG, which NEVER gets old.

    DSR or not ?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 03:41 AM PST

im a newcomer to this game, all i know is that i have had an interest in buying the game since it came out but never did. im now at a point where i wanna try to get through the series starting with the first game, but im unsure in one aspect. is DSR worth it over DS1? im especially questioning bc there is a small price difference, and i'd like to save the money i can save. i'll buy it for PC n probably use a controller with it.

Where does your bloodstain go after voiding out?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 01:02 PM PST

I was summoned into the church before bell gargoyles, and when I got to the top of the ladder I got disconnected. When I got back in I was in a gray void and nothing happened for about 30 seconds before I suddenly died. This feels kinda like I got clipped out of bounds and just fell until I hit a kill plane but I'm not sure. After the loading screen after the You Died text I was still in a gray void so I closed the application and restarted. When I loaded in I was in Undead Burg in the house leading up to the first bridge drake encounter that you have to pass a fog gate to get into. That's nowhere near where I had put my summon sign (in front of the stairs leading up to the balder knight and the channeler), where I was when I was summoned (the courtyard right outside with the three hollow soldiers) or where I was when I disconnected. I ran around the Undead Burg for a bit checking all those spots but couldn't see anything.

Where do you think my bloodstain ended up? Is it retrievable?

When can I go to Lost Izalith, Tomb of Giants and crystal Cave?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 11:07 PM PST

So I am trying to platinum the game, to achieve this I need to get the coloured titanite slabs a second time, what I would like to know is can I go to those areas as soon as the game starts or do I have to defeat Four Kings and O&S again?

I killed the Stray Demon before siegward jumped off the tower edge.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 02:08 AM PST

Like the title says -- I came to meet siegward way later in the game than I normally do, I was SL 60 (lmao) and basically 6 shot the demon before siegward had the chance to jump down from the tower and help me. He is now still up on the tower sitting down and I know that if I were to re-load the area he'd disappear, but would this continue the questline or did I screw it up? I was mainly looking for the gestures cause I'm trying to finish the achievements on steam. Does anybody know if I actually screwed up lol.

    Dogs make me salty

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 01:54 AM PST

Seath might be the best part in Dark Souls.

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 07:40 PM PST

For as lack luster as his fight might have been to a lot of people, I think just getting there was a join to everyone.

The Archives is just the greatest thing and the even the Crystal Cavern is pretty fun too.

The one thing I don't like is being forced to die just so you can get to the Archives. Mandatory deaths are never fun, no matter what.
