(PS4) Posted: 27 Jan 2020 11:23 AM PST So yesterday I started a new character and was in the mansion in Majula, collecting my titanite shards from the chest in the room upstairs. I stopped long enough to lay down a classic message you may have seen in your own time in Majula: 'bloody expensive...don't you dare!' in front of one of the tall shelves in the room with all the knick-knacks on it. About 3 hours later, I had over 50 ratings on the message! Not a huge deal, but considering the location, that's a whole lot of people starting new games, going into the mansion and seeing my message. | Today has been a very productive session Posted: 27 Jan 2020 02:16 AM PST Just beat Fume Knight and Sir Alonne on my first ever playthrough and just found out you can upgrade your estus. I also discovered that the estoc (the main weapon I have been using throughout the game), is a strength weapon and not a dex weapon which is funny because with my build I have like 17 strength and 50 dex - doesnt matter too much though because I've had a raw stone equipped on my estoc because I thought it was powerful for some reason. Now I've respec'd hopefully the game doesn't feel easy, although I've heard horrible things about the third DLC. Seriously tho how tf is the estoc a strength weapon, cant believe I've never checked its stats.... [link] [comments] |

Mine has to be seeing Aldia, scholar of the first sin after that back to back double boss fight. | Posted: 27 Jan 2020 09:58 AM PST (Not sure what makes this NSFW but okay) After playing DS1 on the Switch with a friend (and having to Solo the last boss which took a solid week of attempts) I've decided to not bother waiting for the potential DS2 Switch Port. What I'm looking for here is fundamental differences to DS2's gameplay and any beginner tips that absolutely do not spoil surprises. I want my body to be stabbed, crushed, torn and mangled by surprises, but would like a few survival tips to at least have a better chance. [link] [comments] |

I just beat Freja, and I've been going to the room where they fight, if it's the room that can be jumped down to from the bonfire. Does anyone know why it isn't working/ how to make it work. So, after I recently finished DS2 base game for a first time with some kind of a quality build, I want to start next playthrough. This time I will be cosplaying a boss, who became my favourite - Smelter Demon. So, basically all the idea is to use his armor and sword + some pyromancy spells. And here is my question: In my 1st playthrough I used light armors with high agility and my main defence was rolling. With Smelter's armor and sword, which is extremely heavy rolling becomes rather impossible. Should I level Vitality to the point that I will be able to roll with this set? Or should I use shield and forget about rolling? As far as I know some attacks are unblockable and roll is the only countermeasure. What do you think about it? And if shield only then which one?
