    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 12:54 PM PDT

I've been stuck in this hellish place for months. I beat DS2 and 3 twice after getting stuck at Sen's Fortress for the first time and I still can't make any fucking progress. I'm going hollow. Please help.

TIL you can easily kill the anor londo archers easily with just a shield

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:21 PM PDT

turns out if you're overly cautious and not good at parrying, you can walk right up to each of them with an eagle shield up (preferably reinforced a bit for even more stability), let them smack you to their heart's content as they slowly back themselves over the edge from the knock-back on your shield

I'm getting 121 Souls from Undead Soldier (Spear) in Undead Burg, is this unusual?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 02:07 AM PDT

I got 100 Souls from them at the start of the game which is normal, but I've beaten Gargoyles and now I'm getting 121 Souls from them with no CSSR or SoA.

As well as this, the Undead Soldiers on the stairs up to the waterway are now dropping 72 Souls instead of 60. I don't know why I'm getting more Souls.

To your experience, which game of the Dark Souls Trilogy is the best?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 09:13 AM PDT

I recently just killed every boss in the Dark Souls trilogy and I must say Dark Souls 1 (Remastered) was the best and most memorable for me.

Solaire not appearing at the Sunlight Altar?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:38 PM PDT

So I'm trying to get the Sunlight Talisman because I missed the opportunity for the Ivory one. I beat Ornstein and Smough so I went to the Sunlight Altar to meet him but he's not there. Is there any way to make him appear or can I meet him again later on?

    Boss fights

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 04:18 AM PDT

I know I'm pretty early on in the game and I've defeated the gargoyles, moonlight butterfly, gapping dragon, the very first demon, the second demon at the end of undead burg, and Capra demon...so far these bosses seem a lot easier than the ones in ds3...but it's a souls game and I'm sure the legendary rediculous bosses are yet to come

    Question about a build

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 03:23 AM PDT

Hey all! So after some time away from the game, I decided to start a new character. I'm running a dex/ intelligence build this time around. I was just wondering what I should get both stats to to get the most out of my build. Also what's the best staff to use? Thanks in advance

    Favorite boss song?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 05:49 PM PDT

What's everyone's favorite boss theme? For me I love the bell gargoyle song, it is probably the one I have heard the most considering how many times I died to them. It also just reminds me of that feeling when you get him down to half health the first time thinking you are doing good then "what, why are there two?" I also can't dark about dark souls music without mentioning Gwyn's song, it still sends chills down my spine to this day.

If you could change one piece of confirmed lore, what would it be?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:03 PM PDT

I would make the knight at the beginning of the game who gives you the key one of Gwyn's four knights. I like the idea that he knew you were the chosen undead and started your journey on it's way. Take away Ciaran as a knight and have her be one of those under the command of Artorias, who fell in love with him.

Is Dark Souls Remastered or Dark Souls 3 harder?

How are you able to get the souls of those that linked the flame?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 01:35 PM PDT

Didn't people like Gwynn, Aldrich, Yorhm, and the wolf's blood all link the flame? Why are we able to retrieve their souls after the fact? Is it just for game play mechanics? And if so how the lords of cinder from ds3 alive without their souls? Did the bells just like give them their souls back from the flame and revive them?

I mean Gwyn is hollowed and presumably without a soul, but when we kill him we get his soul in return. I mean we could presume that the lords from ds3 are hollowed but its more likely that the watchers are just cursed by the abyss, Yhorm is just a sad boy, and Aldrich is just a crazy blob man. However, characters like ludlith are completely lucid and seem to still have a soul.

So does the flame consume your soul or does it just get absorbed by the soul of cinder and you can just get it back if the bell so wishes?

Any titles on the switch similar to dark souls?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 12:46 AM PDT

I'm currently deployed so I've been playing a lot of dark souls on the switch. I've gotten to NG+4 for the first time and I'm just wondering if there were any other games that are similar that I may be able to have someone send me? Any and all recommendations are welcome!

I have Hollow Knight, Octopath Traveller, and Breath of the Wild already as well

    DSR High Res Mod.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:27 PM PDT

Hiya there. It just so happens that I always play offline when I play DS1, and was hoping I could get a mod that changed up the textures and lighting to make DSR actually look remastered. What would your guys' suggestions be? Right now I'm looking at Evie's Ultra HD mod and Dark Souls ReShaded. Thank you!

Should I get this game for the Switch?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:53 PM PDT

I finished Dark Souls 3 a while back and it was one of my favorite games ever. It's my 2nd SoulsBorne game, since I got Bloodborne from PsPlus, but it's really hard so I haven't really played it.

I want to play Dark Souls 1, but I can't decide between the Switch version or PC. I want it for the Switch, but I don't know if the game might get too hard at times so I could accidentally break the joycons or something or are the joycons too small for Dark Souls to play it comfortably? The portability attracts me so much about it and I don't really care for graphics and/or framerate because of the convenience of playing portable.

Also I'm getting my Switch this week, and I don't have a lot of money for games so that's another reason.

After years of playing I think I'm going hollow

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 03:51 PM PDT

As stated I've been playing for a long time, I've both linked and extinguished the flame countless times, I've enjoyed many a jolly cooperation and many invasions.

I feel this game is so formulaic wether you're ranged, twink, or Havel, there's only so many times I can kill Gwyn before I just can't bring myself do do it anymore.

For some strange reason I cannot beat any other soulsborne game, ds1 is the only one I can beat and I've beat it to death. That being said I'm sure I won't stay away forever but for the time being I need to move on
