I don’t understand my level up options... Posted: 07 Oct 2019 09:42 PM PDT I'm doing good so far , I killed the black knight guy and the Taurus demon , and everytime I level up I just pump dexterity because I don't know what else to pump , for pve what should I do ? What weapons should I be focusing ? I do not want to ruin any future options by being unknowing at the start. [link] [comments] |
If you're out there, thanks for the jolly cooperation Posted: 07 Oct 2019 11:13 PM PDT I was all set to fight O&S on my 2nd playthrough and figured I'd try summoning Solaire since I never did it on my 1st time through. However, I noticed two other summon signs in the bonfire room where you find Solaire and figured it might be fun to summon actual players instead. Fortunately, they both joined in and I'm sure they were there specifically to help people with that battle because they immediately took off running that way. The three of us slaughtered O&S. It wasn't even close to fair. The two phantoms slapped Ornstein around while I lured Smough around the room just to keep him away from them. When it came time for Super Smough, I kept a distance and used my magic while they battered him from up close. I didn't get hit once, though I assume they did. I felt bad that they disappeared as soon as the battle was over because I couldn't gesture any kind of thanks. So if "jf" and that other guy with the longer name I can't remember (started with a B) hang out here, I just want to say thanks for engaging in jolly cooperation with me earlier today. It was just about as cool as the time I got invaded, but instead of killing me the player led me all the way though Crystal Cave. [link] [comments] |
Should I get back into Dark Souls? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 10:28 PM PDT Should I get back into playing Dark Souls 1, I have never finished any of the games, I've only ever used guides. So if I should decide to get back into Dark Souls 1, should I follow a guide? Or just do it by the heart and create my own path? I truly know that Dark Souls 1 is a fun game, a challenging but fun game. I have never been able to get pat Blight-town without dying at least quadruple umber of times. And if I decide to get back into Dark Souls what kind of class and build should I do? I would really appreciate some answers. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
I need help getting through blighttown Posted: 07 Oct 2019 04:27 PM PDT Here is the thing i am having trouble with in dark souls remastered and it is all about blighttown and the problems it causes me. 1. the poison and wasps in blighttown are always a major waste of my estus flasks and I cant seem to solve the problem for some reason. 2. I need a clear and specific guide of how to navigate the buildings closest to the bonfire because the answers the internet gives me is too vague. 3. how do you get past all the fire tongued abominations of npc models. if anyone can help me with these three things i will be sincerely grateful Redditor gunterlord signing off [link] [comments] |
Finally did the alternate Sif boss fight intro Posted: 07 Oct 2019 02:37 PM PDT Nearly busted into treats. I know it's the same, but watching it on YouTube and watching it happen on your character are two completely different experiences. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 08:58 PM PDT What are the most fun and challenging weapons to use? I always fall back on my comfort weapon, ole faithful BSS. I'm wanting to step outside the comfort zone and be terrified to fight enemies again 😂 This thing makes me feel like a god [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 05:03 PM PDT Starting character, cleric with master key, First mission, 2hand the zwei (ZWEIsy mode), Then go beat up the moonlight butterfly (thank you Beatrice), Got the divine ember so it's time to get a divine zwei, Rush Tomb of the Giants, skip to pinwheel means no lantern /:, Let leeroy do all the work, Run Allllll the way to the second bonfire and pop humanity, Finally get invaded by leeroy and kill him, EXCEPT HE DIDN'T INVADE ME I'm so upset, I got all the way to him I'm standing right where he spawns and nothing, YoU hAvE to HAve tHe LorD VeSSel fk my fkin face I'm so upset it was so painful getting down there with such a weak character, all for not, because of some damn gate keeping So now I'm on my way to Anor Londo, I'll make my divine zwei a occult (farmed bone towers so I can get +14) so it's more manageable up there, so the painted world is my next stop to get the dark ember I feel let down, I was right there, standing right where he should be, I was going to head back up and get the paladin set after killing him and role-play Leeroy, all in due time I suppose I love this game so much it's an emotional rollercoaster over here I tell ya [link] [comments] |
Dark Souls has a very special place in my heart Posted: 07 Oct 2019 06:17 AM PDT |
Posted: 08 Oct 2019 01:32 AM PDT I'm really new to dark souls and have mostly played FPS games and I want to know any starter tips for dark souls 3 I'm on the first boss and can't even get it to half health [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 05:05 AM PDT Hey there fellow masochists. I can't help but start up a new run of the original Dark Souls every now an then. And everytime I do, I spend atleast 2 and a half hours trying to farm for that sweet sweet Balder Side Sword. The 1% drop rate with only 2 enemies per reset makes this task super drawn out and repetitive. But, it's my favorite weapon, so I gladly do it everytime. I was wondering, are there any weapons out there that every play through you guys just HAVE to get? Even if it's a pain? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Oct 2019 12:48 AM PDT I'm about halfway through Bloodborne, and have been eyeing up DS3 for next. (I put off playing both due to fear of it being "too hard". But honestly after beating Papa Gassy I feel like I can take anything) Coming from one game to another, how much do the two differ? How should my play style change (using a Skill build with a hint of Arcane for fire damage), if at all? How are the levels/caps? [link] [comments] |
Got the Chaos Blade for my first Dex build Posted: 07 Oct 2019 11:30 PM PDT So far, so good. Beat O&S first try, thanks to Solaire and bleed. I have the dark wood grain ring and thr FAP ring. My character's name is "GodDamnWeeb" [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Oct 2019 02:53 AM PDT Hi, This is my first week playing this masterpiece. However, I chose a knight or a warrior as my starting class. But have just read that in order to get mace early in the game you should select cleric. So Im asking you guys can someone help me to find mace? I think it is in catacombs, but I have not reach this point yet. Or there is possibility to buy it? Thanks for any help [link] [comments] |
Finished DS for the first time (Switch) and drew my Chosen Undead for Inktober Posted: 07 Oct 2019 09:14 AM PDT Absolutely loved the game -- brutal, but in service to the themes and worldview of the creators. The world is dark, brutal, and unforgiving but with persistence (or obsession), you can be victorious. I'm going to read "You Died" by Keza MacDonald and Jason Killingsworth and I have the art book ordered. For Inktober and to celebrate my VICTORY over Lord Gwyn I drew my Chosen Undead: Knight Ham Cheers, and don't go Hollow [link] [comments] |
I can't hit the dogs in the Capra Demon fight before they hit me Posted: 08 Oct 2019 01:42 AM PDT My R1 attacks are slow and the dogs interrupt it every time. What should I do? I'm in NG+1. EDIT: I'm using the Demon Greataxe. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Oct 2019 01:13 AM PDT How much I have to level up endurance in a strength build? And around which level is a great build? (I've played bloodborne and everybody based their build around level 100-120) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Oct 2019 12:13 AM PDT This isn't your typical invader rant so read on. I get invasions, this one happened when I just wanted to summon Solaire for Ornstein and Smough. I WON the PvP so I'm not mad about the invader. But someone with a "heavenly" name, perhaps chrstianly in nature, thought a fun battle would be strafing in circles the entire fight and holding a shield. sigh listen dude I just wanted to fight Ornstein and Smough. You wanted PvP; I get it. But I ran up all the stairs, to that one spot where there's no enemies to aggro and plenty of room to roll. I used three different weapons and you chose to hide behind your shield and strafe. I came at you with every attack in my arsenal. You chose to block, block, and only switched it up when I used a jump attack and missed. This lead to a very boring fight of you backstabbing me after my jump attacks because by this point I wanted to either die or for you to try something interesting. You didn't. So i swap in my item menu my Black Knights greataxe for a battle axe +10. I figured, I need speed. Thanks for letting me swap. You were a boring opponent, but respectful. You even bowed after I bowed. I dont hate you. I'm on NG+ And I just wanted to fight Ornstein and Smough with Solaire. You invaded. You annoyed me with a pointless fight wishing only to expose the backstab method. So when I stagger locked you with a 1 hand +10 battle axe and had the stamina to hit you 6 times in a row, while you couldn't react, basically being cheap, I didn't feel bad because you did nothing but circle strafe me the whole fight. That's the moral of the story here, if you're gonna invade someone's game, cool, that's the point. Dont waste their time by circle strafing for 5 minutes straight hiding behind a damn shield. Attack for more than just the backstab or get the fuck off of Dark Souls PvP, you're boring. I just wanted to fight Ornstein and Smough. (If you do see this, thee with the Christianly name, I do applaud your respect and it was a little fun. But you dragged it out too long) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 11:35 PM PDT What is your top-3 of most diffcult bosses? And why it was difficult for you? My personal top: 1) Manus: like 50 tries for killing. A very balanced boss at long range, both near and middle. (Also I hate path to the him in the darkness(sic!)) 2) Knight Artorias: like 45 tries for killing. This man doesn't forgive mistakes and rides like a ninja. And if you don't bring down Wrath of the Abyss.... 3) Quelaag: like 20 tries for the killing. Farting of a spider and lava, at a low level, turns the battle with her into a continuous pain. This is my personal top for the melee fight classes in the first walkthrough. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 01:51 PM PDT Hello everyone. I recently decided to go back playing Dark Souls and I want to try new (at least for me) builds. So I wanted to go Dex/Int: does It make sense? What Is a good Build? I think I'll PVE and PVP if I can but in the end I'm Just trying to have fun and have literally zero knowledge on how to use Int correctly. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 08:16 PM PDT I've beaten dark souls many times and I'm all out of run ideas. I hate doing super hard runs like no healing but any suggestions would be great [link] [comments] |
Undead / Hollow as an allegory for the game's difficulty Posted: 07 Oct 2019 08:18 AM PDT This has probably been discussed here before but I guess this is my moment of inception. Was having a conversation with a friend whose husband played the Dark Souls games but found them to difficult / dark. To which I replied: "Well, only the strongest undead can rekindle the flame, or else you become a hollow". Upon the realization of how true that is I now look down upon her husband as a hollow. Maybe I've overthought this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:57 AM PDT At the beginning of the summer I bought myself a switch to celebrate finishing my first year of grad school. I picked up dark souls remastered because I heard it was a classic and played it 90% blind and fell in love. I'm on my second play through and was Invaded for the first time. 4 times this weekend actually! I lost every fight but it was a lot of fun. Thank you to those active players still invading and kicking my ass! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 04:03 PM PDT According to the 'fandom' wiki page on this sword/dagger combination, somewhat counter-intuitively the gold sword is meant to be used in the left hand while the dark silver dagger goes in the right. This allows a heavy attack from the left hand sword to inflict bleeding damage while the same with the right hand dagger will inflict poison. Does this mean that if the gold tracer is wielded in the right hand it loses its special bleeding auxiliary effect even if still striking with a heavy attack on that side? [link] [comments] |
