| Posted: 11 Oct 2019 01:04 AM PDT i wanted to try it to see what all the hype is about, other than the fact that i had to use a controller the game is great so far and im absolutely loving it. im also kinda stuck, after exploring i enter some sort of castle in a forest , and after dying multiple times and exploring i found this boss that looks like a gaping anus. i almost killed it but he ripped his arm and proceeded to beat me to death with it. my health is really low and im out of human effigies and life gems and i dont know where to get them+ i have 0 souls. do i start over or is there a way to get out of this situation ? edit: thanks everyone i beat the gaping anus [link] [comments] |

I'll always get two down, then get impatient. Whenever I die, I get frustrated. A lot. Dex build, btw. In addition, my Xbox360(I know) odesn't have wifi connection. | [SOTFS] Having trouble with controller deadzone. Posted: 11 Oct 2019 03:54 PM PDT So I recently got back into DS2 by getting SOTFS on PC. All good so far, I have a friend I want to play with. However, like so many other I seem to have a problem with a controller "deadzone" when playing with a plugged in xbox 360 controller. I read old post about using Dorenzo in the steam game folder and setting deadzone to 20, anti-deadzone to 36 and whatnot. But no changes seem to have taken effect when I try starting up the game again! I still have that little bit on my controller that I can move the stick to the right before my character actually takes a sharp turn. Setting the deadzone to max and the anti-deadzone to 0 and vice versa has no effect either, so I'm positive it just isn't working somehow. I also found a steam post of achieving a similar effect by changing the controller preferences in steam itself. Since I'm running on steam I tried it out to similar effect. The changes I make seem to have little difference whatsoever. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do? [link] [comments] |

I cannot play this game in fullscreen, because the audio does not work in that mode for some reason. The audio does work in windowed mode, but the window only fills part of the screen. I'm using a 1920x1080 external monitor, but the highest resolution I can select for windowed mode is 1280 x 720. How can i use 1920x1080 in windowed mode? [link] [comments] |

Aside from this mod making me really enjoy the game again, I have gone through the entirety of the forest of fallen giants and and I am missing 1 crucial item. | What weapon(s) should I use for my high Int Build? Posted: 11 Oct 2019 10:23 AM PDT I've started a new character yesterday and currently have one great soul and a longsword plus 5. Are there any special weapons that work for a high int build? If not, does enchanted infusion work better than magic, and can I apply Magic buffs to magic enchanted weapons? | Posted: 10 Oct 2019 08:15 PM PDT Just putting out my salt here since I don't want to wait until Sunday. Yesterday I decided that I'd start a new character and bring it through the game to try building a bleed build. Cue first two hours of the game going through the early areas and picking up every chance at Jolly coop. Making my way through no man's wharf when I fuck up and get killed talking to lucatiel. Drop my sign down so I have a chance at not using the effigy, while I run on back to grab my souls and clear the level. Suddenly, my summon sign disappears. Well, shit. I can only pray that this invader has mercy while I go run to pick up my 100k souls that are on the line. I start clearing the level and gesturing towards lucatiel's hut. I am this close to getting my souls back, when I get oneshot by an ice rapier R2. My killer is wearing hexer equipment, and he points down on my corpse. So uh, yeah. I lost my entire soul memory's (100k) worth of souls to a twink. 3 hours down the toilet. I think I might be done with dark souls 2 for a while. [link] [comments] |

I've finished the main game and I'm going to be tackling the dlcs soon, I've got a santiers spear sorcery build and was wondering if anyone can help me with gear I should be using. Posted: 11 Oct 2019 12:24 AM PDT It's a song made with things like Andre's hammer effect, the old woman's "but then, was fire..." and Oswald's "I am Oswald" and other such things. It's actually very nice despite how weird that sounds. The video itself cycled through images or clips of some of the places the sound effects came from as well, I believe. I don't remember the name of it and nothing I search turns it up. I thought I had saved it last time I ran into it but I guess not. Do any of you know where to find it? Thanks a lot! | Hey! Can I use a greatshield and still roll and stuff? Posted: 10 Oct 2019 05:37 PM PDT Hey everyone. I recently started DS2 and I'm having a bit of trouble with it. I like it, it just feels significantly harder than the first one. I'm used to playing with a shield, but everyone told me not to use one and just learn to roll. I'm starting to wonder if I should listen to them or not. I'm much more comfortable with a shield. I've been practicing rolling and I beat a few bosses from just rolling and I can dodge the knights in Heide's Tower alright, but it's just harder to play that way. But I do like rolling, so I'm wondering, can I use a greatshield and still be able to roll and stuff? Or is it something I should avoid? I miss my shields lol :( They said it's the "noob way to play" but I almost don't care. Btw, I'm asking about a greatshield cuz it's the only thing I can find with at least 95% damage reduction. I die as soon as he goes second phase pretty much. But I can't find the damn item to invade her. I know it's supposed to be up a ladder with a ghost hanging out. But it's not there! Is it in a different location in SotFS? /Edit/ Holy shit after months of not being able to find it I remembered the Item Box exists and it was one of three items in it FFS lol damn I accidentally deleted two high-ranking messages rechecking the spot for that fucking item (I'm really clumsy lol) [link] [comments] |
